That’s how our mothers cut things in Italy, way back when there were no cutting boards. My mom cooked everything in an open fire place, the women took their bread to the town ovens to be baked. It was truly a village. The whole town pooled their grapes together and made wine that everyone shared. Yes, back in the 50’s they did stomp the grapes by foot. My mom trained all of our girls to cut like that, I have lots of cutting boards, but cut my vegetables in my hands.

I wondered if anyone else noticed. She seems to struggle with those and in this video, she seemed a little tired, too. Please help with the heavy stuff or wherever you can. At 85 yrs old, she is doing great and looking beautiful!! Love to you Nonna Pia. ❤
