I'm a pro photographer, i shoot 2,3 or 4 times a week, and i was using both a7iii and a7 iv. I just got this in order to have a smaller sony camera for social and street photography and i couldn't be happier. Considering the things that you are missing from more expensive models, i can easly say that i get the same practical results with this than with the other alphas, when shooting photography. I can't believe you get this much for this price. Upgrade to a better lens like the 1.8 - 11mm - (kit lens does well), buy a compact, hotshoe flash and you will have a little monster, fully equiped to do anything the a7 models can do, in still photography.

For daylight photos I would go with a zoom lens (in my case the 18/50) but there Sto arrivando! Some nice lens from tamron and viltrox

Hello, thanks so much, but there are two problems, the stabilization and viewfinder, or don't you see it as a problem?
I am loving my ZVE 10, as far as the rolling shutter I just put it on a gimbal and that mitigates the rolling shutter with slow pans and movements, If you put it in 1080 P there is hardly any rolling shutter.
I do the same. Which gimbal are you using?
Too bad the 1080p quality on Sony's APS-C mirrorless cameras is terrible and it defeats the purpose of having such an otherwise nice camera.

@@realworld1626 almost all of Sony's hybrid cameras? The quality of the 1080p footage from the likes of their APS-C cameras, the A7R series, the A7 III, the A7 IV in full frame, etc. They have poor detail, aliasing, moire... It's just bad.

I've used catalyst browse on a ZV1 its very good. I'm not sure why so many people dismiss it. You get gimbal like footage without the hassle of carrying and balancing a gimbal.
Thanks for the heads up on the camera settings. Do a few tweaks in post after or do you have to add a lut.

Heard it's crazy intensive in terms of processing power. People are reporting 10mins for a few seconds of stabilization. It's probably usable if one has a super desktop.

I have watched your review on Lumix G85 and Fujifilm XT4. They were all beautifully done. 😂 Thanks dude....As I mentioned in the video this camera is limited to 4K30 and 8bit. So it is not yet a pro camera, but it's definitely a good camera for the price. I would like to call it the begginer camera, if you already own a6400 you can upgrade to this, but I would suggest you to upgrade to a7iii, I have been using the a7iii for quite a while, even done vids for Naza motors, Samsung Malaysia the camera is a beast.

You don't need any of that for "pro" shooting. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something.
There are feature films that were shot on the original A7S and TV shows that were shot on the 5D II and 5D III, all of which only shoot 8-bit 1080p.
When starting out you don't need 10-bit colour or even 4k.

I am using the ZV E10 now. It is really not bad for its price in terms of the quality and built. The battery life is not that fantastic but it serves its purpose. I tried recording for an extended period of time and it overheat at around 30-35 mins mark of continuous shooting.
There’s a setting in the menu, that you can change and stop it from overheating
Ye change the setting, then you can record 4K for 1.5 hours until you get overheating
overheated filming in 4k or fullhd?

1. Go with the Go Pro 10 first in the start and then switch over to the Sony A73 in the future.
2. Go with the Sony ZV-e10.
What would you suggest?
Absolutely go for the go pro 10 first, it'll be easier for you to shoot and upload, once you are comfortable editing and uploading then would make the most sense to switch.

it depend but for a lot of people it's not cheap, nice video and very good subject. All the people say that the stabilisation is horrible, what do you think about that? There is other products with this prize?
Canon r10 has decent stabilization but bad dynamic range
the only thing sony is still really adamant about is the touch screen features. I mean, touch to focus is good, but it would be even better with full touch controls. Even the Lumix G7 which is about 6 or 7 years old now has full touch controls. heck even the Canon M50 mark 1.
They dont want to put in more expensive screens I guess, I don't care much anyway.

That software won't fix rolling shutter if the camera is still and other things are moving. It will fix rolling shutter if you are panning the camera.

I bought the ZV-E10 as a backup cam for travelling but returned it after a week or so. AF is good but rolling shutter and the non existing EVF were a dealbreaker

For photography both cams suck, I'm better off spending 200-300€ more and get a a7c which as a bad EVF but better than none

I have it. I wouldn’t necessarily call it “pro”. But, it’s pretty dang good for what it has to offer. Funny, the rolling shutter on mine isn’t as dramatic as yours. As your friend showed, Catalyst Browse fixes most rolling shutter. There are solutions people. Be open to learning before jumping on the Whine Wagon.
The crop? Not that big a deal. I shot at 4K 60 with mine. I only had to move 1-1/2 feet to get the same composition between the cropped and uncropped version. My channel has my example of it.

You can fix rolling shutter to a certain extent. If you have a person not moving, with fast moving backgrounds e.g. cars, it will be impossible to fix. Also, no APS-C sensor in the market apart from Fujifilm can shoot 4k60p.
The crop is a big deal because it makes ultrawide shots impossible and the camera doesn't shoot 4k60.
I've got a question. When the camera is plugged into USB-C and used as webcam, does the camera need a batery, or is the USB-C giving camera the power?

@@just_mikeyiguess no, you have to swap batteries, it does not charge directly when it's on.
For the vertical video feature, is there a tripod mount on either side of the camera that will let you mount the camera vertically on a tripod?
I'm using a Small Rig cage that allows me to mount the ZVE10 in vertical mode on tripods. I'm sure most cages will allow you to do something similar.

Poor autofocus would probably be the main reason not to get the A7S II for a beginner, it's also not a great stills camera if someone was a hybrid shooter.
Mine is perfect except for when I move the camera, I have a strange blurriness happening, I'm not talking about rolling shutter. From side to side, up and down even extremely slow its blurry until when I stop. I thought at first it was my new slider, even at minimum speed it does that. Not clean. But when not moving its fantastically sharp. Ever heard of this?
the 1080p mode is the worst, it crops a little bit and you lose resolution with it.

Yeah it's a shame the a6xxx series has poor 1080p. The next gen should be much better. Or maybe no 1080 anymore. Lol
Still a stretch to call it a pro camera. I guess you could use it for product shots with controlled lighting but that's about all I'd be willing to use it for if I'm getting paid.
