This video series is going to walk you through all the basics of starting your own, online business in 2021 -- the best part is that it is free! I have started 3 ecommerce businesses and I will show you the steps I took on my journey, what was important to me amongst other tips and tools!
Starting a business can be scary but exciting. It’s a HUGE accomplishment but it is a lot of work leading up to your launch.
This series will help you so much if you’re just starting out or haven’t even thought about what you are going to do.
It’s also great for entrepreneurs who are a little further along in their journey and just need a refresher or looking for new tools and tips along the way!

This is Part 1 where I talk about the following:
• Research, Research, Research!
• Decide on a business name
• Search for naming availability (Every state has a secretary of state or other state agency that’s responsible for business entity filings. You can use the online tool to search business names and find out whether another business is already using the name you have chosen.)
• Check if the domain name is available (purchase domain and email address)
• Define your MVP (minimum viable product)
• File for LLC (state filing fees vary)
• Apply for EIN (FREE)

@@ParisNikkole Thanks babe!! I appreciate the love! I used to own a spa until Covid Hit. ( I am Nail Tech tech) I tried to incorporate different elements and products. I’m not a professional candle maker like you. I use soy wax and they are decent. Lol. Your candles are everything! I am going to order another soon!!

I just started my candle business and to be honest I'm very overwhelmed, my husband keep telling me to not worry but I'm spending a lot of money on testing and product design. I'll be displaying my candle for the first time next month and I'm so nervous. I feel like I need so much help. like I use wood wicks but they don't always perform the same when I make batches of the same candle. I did want to ask you what wicks you use?
I know the feeling Rainelle. This is how I felt when I started which is the reason I started this channel. I wanted to help others relieve some of the stress and worry of starting a new business. Your business will do well because it sounds like you are giving it your all! 🙌🏾
As for the wooden wicks, I use .03 from wooden wick co. They work great! I tested from a few different companies and these seem to be the best quality but I am certain that some of the suppliers actually purchase from wooden wick co. because they wholesale on Alibaba.com

Hi Asia! Great question, no, it is not a requirement to have the word candle co behind the name of your company but you must specify that the product is a candle on the label which is called the statement of identity. So name your business how you would like just make sure it makes you happy and fits your brand. Many Blessings to you!

Hi Parris I have a question for new business owners. In regards to the website options wix & shopify, do you need both?
Hello! I use Shopify and in my opinion that is all you need. Wax is not as advanced as Shopify.

How many candles do you recommend someone should start out with for their new candle business?
I would say test as many fragrance oils as you would like and start your business with your top 5 scents if you want to start small. With those scents see what sells the most, what are your customers saying, etc. then you can choose what to keep and what to replace in your line.
