Hey Erica, nice job. Wanted to offer a helpful tip you may find useful as a fellow candle making youtube channel. With your new DSLR and mic (external or internal)... they have a tendency to create background noise and static (like a fan sort of). Two good options I wanted to share to help out if you are interested. 1) You can go into the settings on your DSLR and adjust the Attenuator settings OR, 2) with your video editing software, apply some deNoise effect and then bump u your volume a bit. That should cut out that background static. Not sure which editing software you use, I use Adobe Premier Pro so it might be called something different in yours. Good luck and good to see ya!.

I love the way you do your videos, your manner/the way you come across & the fact that you explain things very well & make things super easy to understand x I've just started my candle making business in the last week so I'm very, very new to this & your videos are so helpful 🥰 I used to be a professional photographer & used a Canon camera ~ what you want to do, if your in auto mode, to make your videos brighter is increase the Exposure Value {EV}/Exposure Compensation ~ I used a MkIII so I'm not sure where yours will be ~ you might find a wee button that has a square on it with half black/half white & a + & - sign ~ press this & turn the dial, or it may be in the menus. If your using manual mode you have to learn about the exposure triangle which includes shutter speed, aperture & ISO & what adjusting each of these will do ~ in videos {which I didn't use on my camera....} but, basically, you want to either ~ boost your ISO or widen your aperture to let more light in {decrease the number} ~ there is more to it than that but these options should work for you Hope this helped Karen x

Thank you! And this is not even close to a stupid question! The temperature in the room can have a big effect on the candle making process. For instance, if a room is really cold, it could cause the candles to cool too fast, which could cause sink holes, cracking, etc

I see a few label sizes listed. Which label size do you use for your metal tins?
The 1.25” x 3.75” and the 2.5” rounds :)
