I know that I don't know you personally but I'm so proud of you! This is such a genius idea. I keep most of my candle vessels. I do exactly what you described. I put them in the freezer. Once the vessel has been there for at least 2 hours whatever is left at the bottom will either come out when you flip it upside down or by gently using a butter knife to go around the edges. I then soak the label off. I enjoy beautiful smelling candles but try and repurpose things whenever possible. You can use the leftover candle vessels for various storage options. Your idea is so brilliant. I'd recommend a poor man's patent. Please don't be offended by the name. Write down your idea with as much detail as possible and mail it to yourself. Just don't open the letter. But please do continue to go ahead with the patent that you're working on. I subscribed to your channel because I like candles and thought about making them. But I know that there are people who come up with so many scents and do a better job at it. I just like to watch the process. But I also wanted to support your channel. It's just as easy to subscribe to someone's channel that has 1 million subscribers as it is to someone who doesn't have 1 million subscribers. You click the bell and notification and go through the same steps. I'm rooting for you! Congratulations on creating your refill.🥳

Awww! ❤️ Means a lot. Thanks for subbing! You are awesome Emoretta! Not offended at all, I have a provisional patent in place and working on a utility/design patent at the moment. The provisional patent wasn't too pricey but the utility/design patent will cost thousands. Yikes!

Hi, what a great idea. I make candles in jars too but I have been wanting to try make a refill I can sell separately, without the customer needing to send their jar back to me to be re-filled. Are you able to share how you make the refill? Do you use the same soy wax as the container candle or do you use a harder pillar blend wax? Do you prefer silicone or aluminium moulds? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.xx

Definitely not new. I thought about it when I first started making candles 21 years ago. Decided against it after speaking to some people from Libbey glass & a couple other companies. They let me know every time you burn a candle in a glass container it weakens the glass somewhat.
