Ocean Sprint Revival Southport 2023

Highlights from the Ocean Sprint Revival event which marked the 120th anniversary of the first Southport Speed Trials, which were held along the Promenade in 1903.
This year was also the 60th anniversary of the last Southport Speed Trial, which took place along The Esplanade and Marine Drive in 1963.
The event took place on Saturday 16th September 2023 along a half-mile / 820m section of Marine Drive and featured many unique vehicles, including a
1908 Brasier Voiture de Course powered by a Hispano Suiza 220 hp V8 Aero engine, (further details here cybermotorcycl..., a pair of Fraser Nash racers from the 1950's, a Bristol Cooper from 1954, a Nascar Chevy Pickup Truck, a 1965 McLaren M1A, and a "Fiat" 500 Hillclimb and Sprint special, amongst others.

I went to this, and even had a car entered, I found it very poor with over officious Marshalls, won't be going again.......
