People have to understand pro wrestlers were legit badasses back then and protected the business...They didn't like dirt-sheets, and people knowing what goes on behide the curtains and everything was kayfabe...everything was secret then...Wrestlers had no problem beating up audience members, and taking them in the back and teaching them a lesson...it was very ruff and touch old school....Wrestlers were legitimately dangerous and some where legit pro boxers, Mix Martel Artist's, Olympian wrestlers, and real shooters, amateur collegent Wrestlers, some were in motorcycle gangs, and part of a group, groups that are questionable, I'll leave you all to guess that one.
And they didn't care if you pressed charges or called the cops or sued...they would beat the shit out of you when fans got to out of hand and violent. It was like that all through the 1990's and early 2000's aswell.
Pro wrestling in a whole has gotten SJW, Woke, overly sensitive, pussified, and ruined my nerdy, virginal, neck bearded, grown men they call Mark's...who try to dictate what pro wrestling should be...back in the day, those guys would be doubt with very fast.
We went from Causel fans, and ring rats and teenage college causel watchers, to Mark's you never from, the only time yo heard a Mark complain was if you bought a wrestling Observer magazine and you read the letters they wrote into the wrestling Observer magazine to complain...you never heard them compain, they didn't have any platforms, if you were a loyal wrestling fan, you just bought a ticket and attended a pro wrestling events and watched and the only time you would hear these nerds, was if you watch pro wrestling at home with them, seeing them yell at the TV and whine all the time, and nitpick...Now with social media they UA-cam...you hear and watch these nerds spew there frustrations...you know, the very nerdy Mark's who have been so consumed with pro wrestling that they have there own UA-cam channels now and act like fake authorized pro wrestling journalist, critiquing and criticizing pro wrestling, when they've never work for a pro wrestling company, just because they've watch there whole lives doesn't Make them certified pro wrestling Journalist, just fake Critics.
Just very nerdy Marks who try to give their own narratives and input, and they will never survive in a big pro wrestling company as a Booker and would be laugh at by pro wrestlers, legends, agents, and writers out of the building.
Wrestlers can't stand these Dave Meltzer Minions...they rather get interviewed by other Wrestlers and Larry King, or ESPN or someone who is a not a very big mark... nowadays there are UA-cam channels full of Mark's so they have no choice but to take an interview by them.
Back in the days wrestlers would cuss them out, or never associate with Wrestletalk, Inside The Ropes, Solomonster, Bryan Alverez, WhatCulture Wrestling, Sean Sapp, JD Harmeyer, ect...they would all be intimidated out of there jobs...wrestlers are now making more money, under contracts, and can't do anything they used to do because of this SJW and MetooMovement, sensitive Climate nowadays... alot of the old school wrestlers who are legit badasses wouldn't even survive todays climate change without being Canceled...I mean they wouldn't careless anyway...but it was a real Cowboy & Indian's, doggy eat dog world and had to he extra tough back in the day...even women wrestlers were legitimately tough back then.
The only legit wrestler who is a throwback nowadays is (Brock Lesner) & (Bobby Lashley)...two real throwback outlaws that would wipe the floor with any pro wrestling Alive today, in a legit fight.
You do have real Olympian wrestlers like Gable Stevenson, And MMA fighters like Matt Riddle, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley,even Roman Reigns who is a legit Samoan...Who has a long lineage of dangerous family members like His uncle Haku, raised by his father one half of the feared (Wild Samoans)...His cousins Yokozuma, uncles Umaga, brother Rosey, uncle Rikishi....the Samoans are people you should never F with...they are dangerous...and Roman Reigns has been in meny Brawls, that people don't know about, and was a top ranking football player, and was raised by real killers on the Samoan culture...samoans are feared along with the islander men.
So I would say guys like Brock Lesner, Bobby Lashley, Matt Riddle, Chad Gable, Gable Stevenson, Shelton Benjamin, Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Roman Reigns & The Usos would fit perfect in the old school Era of pro wrestling...very small patch.
Pro wrestling used to be a world of outlaws anything goes, brutality, and were especially brutal to new guys...the marks and sensitive pro wrestling News, UA-cam Platforms dirtsheets would call that bullying. 🙄🤷♂️

I really like John Stossel as a reporter these days, but Stossel was kind of poking a bear much bigger than him. David Schulz was already pissed and Stossel should've just left him alone (but still gives no right from Schulz to slap him).
