I think it was to help generate views. Letting the suspense of wether or not it would be accepted build up in the fans minds. That being said, the videos of their death blows are shot the same day as the match.

For him to take out Nick Holt would be a unreal feat as he is incredibly technical and very consistent. Trory had an off day but that what makes skate so exciting not in a million years did I think any would win but here we are. Ollies, kickflips, impossibles, nollie back 3s and so many other tricks are freestyle tricks that are allowed. Aside from the bean plant every trick was legal including the wet stop. Andy's "Wet Stop" doesn't break any actual rules, and it's not even close to being a manual. This was a case of "oh well clearly nobody else can do that so it's not allowed" bullshit.
@@TheDailyWipeout The rule is "no doing tricks that slide on the ground if your opponent popped his trick" meaning that if your opponent sets a BS 360 and the full rotation happened in the air, you can't defend by doing a BS 180 and then revert the other 180.

Uhhhh, ya... it's why I stopped watching BATB (only came to this because I heard Andy did a bunch of ridiculous tricks). Seriously... the "rules" make this game incredibly monotonous and boring after you've watched a few seasons. There's about 10 flip tricks they all do (if that), and then do those tricks switch.

You get so used to watching Andy Anderson knocking out the unusual tricks, that you forget he has a rock solid bag of "normal" tricks handy also

Normally id agree but considering BATB is a skill based competition, its kind of silly having certain tricks like the no complys or reverts when its supposed to be evenly based trick variety. Just my two cents though
@@everegenx the fact that these generic flip trick variations are what’s considered skill based or evenly based is self imposed and is holding skateboarding back. There’s a lot of tricks that probably haven’t been unlocked yet and we’re stuck thinking that skateboarding should be a certain specific way. People like Andy are what will push skateboarding further for everyone as a whole and the entire culture altogether.
@@TheGreatWasian_ again id agree 100%, there should be absolutely be seperate competition with no standards as far as something like that. but considering flat ground tricks technically only count if popped with both feet on the board, it makes sense. At least in BATB flatground boundaries.
