@@markymarkeatonif u wanna see a more impressive game(imo) check out Spencer Barton vs Chris Chann. I think the difficulty of the tricks in this game and that one are similar but the tricks in the other game are more visually appealing.

That was so badass, so many insane tricks. Jamie is so on top of his game, hitting stuff twice in a row. And Johnny's ability to just do brand new stuff first attempt is a testament to his meticulous study of the sport. Thank you

The trick selection, man. Can't not be impressed with how rare some of these tricks are, but somehow, they whip them out first try

@@dngrouscrgo I don't think you got my point. For example, Jonny undeniably has more tricks on flat than P Rod, yet lost to him in BATB. I feel like if PRod went up against Jamie Griffin and set first, Jamie may also lose as he may not be as consistent at all the base tricks as P Rod is. Basically, saying someone is the top 5 anything in skateboarding is pretty obsolete and will be a list, specific to the creator of the list and what kind of skating they like.
WOW this is the best game of skate I’ve ever watched! Going to 15 allowed us to see a LOT more tricks, and with Jonny and Jamie each being so elite, the moves were all amazing. If anyone thinks there’s a better game of skate out there, please share a link because I’m so impressed by these guys right now.
The Chris Chann Spencer Barton one is super good too.
@@Kassizrippin Chis and Spencer are both great skaters, and I will go watch it, but those 2 guys just aren't as good as these 2.

PJ Ladd vs P-Rod in BATB Finals is a legendary match but these two definitely have evolved the game!
its hard to choose..is it better Porsche 911 and Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman or Toyota GR86 and Toyota GR Supra :D its the same problem as with Spencer,Chann vs johnny and jamie :D

Only thing missing is Chris Chann for a 3 way game of skate, also the fact that Jamie does his tricks back to back to clean them up shows how good he is. Jamie is now the skate god, he's just insane

Lastra and Chann have their strengths and can drop enough hammers to beat anyone in a game of SKATE, if everything goes their way.
However with 15 letters I believe they would go down against JG & JG, these guys‘ bags are insanely deep and stuffed to the rim with the most exotic 10/10 difficulty tricks that they whip out with ease.
What baffles me most is that Jamie Griffin never chokes. His consistency is unmatched, as he proved in his first ever BatB appearance.

An absolute treat. Incomparable skills, and arguably the best display of flat ground skills in a game of SKATE (15 letters or not) that is on UA-cam. I loved the hug after Jonny landed the BS Double Heel. It's so rare to see that in any other sport, casual competition or not, and that's so refreshing. :)

this battle is madness, the tricks that came out just blew my mind who skate since 2000....
This is absolutely one of the best games of skate I've ever watched, the trick list that these two guys have is unreal, and to see Johnny and Jamie, both hitting some of those gnarly tricks first try obviously proves their ability, but more importantly, I think they are truly pushing the camaraderie of skateboarding and they are a great example of what skateboarding means and is all about. keep killing it you guys!!!
I cannot believe the amount of ridiculous tricks you guys just have in your back pockets that you stick first try. Simply amazing. I seriously dont think anyone can beat jamie at a game of skate. And jonny I have to say, having watched you for years, you have the best looking impossible I've ever seen. Great stuff as always!!

Dude they are both so good. I love the fact that they keep up a great attitude and can each still learn a lot from each other. Jonny had a crazy comeback! Close ass game of 15 letters skate. Also when Jonny said he’d never seen that fakie feather flip anywhere and then did it l went crazy. Good game guys. Never cease to amaze!

Been watching the channel for years and keeping an eye on Jamie’s instagram for a long time. Honestly it amazing watching the two of you go at it like this. The kid’s got youth, stamina and power, like, Jamie can FLIP that board and he stomps his tricks like a meteor. He’s an intimidating opponent, he’s got late flips, double flips, and those dirty impossible spins on lock, but you held him. Super impressive. Getting older is tough (not that you’re old) but at 31 I feel the aches and the joints and the falls way more. Add the fact that neither of you are built for that nasty LA weather and this was an amazing game of skate, straight down to a stamina match and a few lucky lands and unlucky bails. Could’ve gone either way, but easily better than a BOB final
I been a fan of gieger for a while and a fan of Jamie here recently, but it's crazy how good Jamie is! U can tell his natural skill is just so high!!! Like how??? Those 360 FS Flips are my fav!
The real winners today are us and the people that got to watch this at the park. The best part are the reactions when someone defends a ridiculous trick. I mean wtf dudes, you guys are absolutely insane. It's a pleasure to watch two guys that are just absolutely masters. Jamie is an absolute beast but Jonny is the goat, I mean all these consistent flip tricks plus all the other crazy tricks he can do. He's a wizard on the board.

Thanks for adding the name of each trick. I can do the basics like kickflips, heelflips, pop shuvs, varial flips etc but some of these are mind benders. Two absolute wizards!

imagine being so good at flat skating, that there is only a handful of people left in the world, that are really challanging for you to play in a game of skate. I was impressed how Jonny came back, great game, incredible level of skating. Too bad they faced of in round one at BATB last year.
