Central Florida here, the envu rep here recommended for st aug turf to apply specticle as a split app 45 days apart at rate of 3.5 oz/acre for each of the two specticle apps. Did it this Spring and no weeds at all all summer but it did not affect green kyllinga at all. Also we do specticle for spring/summer here as there's no poa here and the summer doveweed, etc are the real challenges. Prodiamine is fine for fall/winter. So we apply specticle/prodiamine here in opposite seasons than what you do there farther north in AL.
Thanks for the video. I used too much 24 D to kill creeping Charlie on my empire zoysia and I will need to reseed a patch on my lawn. I should have waited a month or 2 before I put the 2nd application down.
You mentioned putting down fungicide in the fall. But, I didn’t catch what products you use. Maybe I missed it. Any recommendations for fall application of fungicide on Bermuda/Tifway 419? Can it be mixed with the products you mentioned?
Propiconazole is the best for bermuda in my experience with the common diseases bermuda gets and yes it can be mixed with a wide variety of herbicides, but I would always do a mixing test before
In fairness, I only have one or two yards with St Augustine grass. Poa was not a big problem on those yards so I saved a little money and went with prodiamine
@@lawncarelife I've got a problem with Sida down here in SWFL, the only preemergent I've found which lists Sida is Spectacle Flo, so I was considering giving it a try.
Jason, b’ham area, what is your opinion on using a granular for fall preemerg. treatment versus liquid especially on thick zoysia? Thanks for the info!
Drought in Bham area took a toll on my Z52. But now, after all this rain, I am wondering what I should do to prepare it for winter and help for next summer? Mid-September boost before winter?
Good evening, I am looking to start a business similar to yours here in Central Texas. And willing to pay for a little mentorship. I’m 25 and currently own a construction company.
@NikkosExperience 0 seconds ago I know you maybe busy and hope to get your feedback on this, I live in the gulf coast part of Florida I am not knowledgeable on the grass type that I have. I am dealing with some weeds of course and working always on this issue . I will put a link at the end of these questions of my work in progress. I have approximately in total front and back 2100 sq feet. I am not sure what grass seed I can use to overseed my lawn through the winter. It has been suggested by neighbor's to use 2 types of grass seeds Perennial Rye Grass seed or Annual Rye Grass seed both right now are equally fair priced to buy I get more seeds for the Annual price wise or if there another option it would be great to here your thought, also if you have an idea for pre emergent that will keep crab grass and weeds to a minimum to throw down with the overseeding any suggestion or thoughts are greatly appreciated please and thank you
@@lawncarelife thank you so much for the response I know you're busy and you took the time out to answer me I really appreciate it I see a lot of good Bargains right now I don't know what I exactly I have for grass already but I just want to mix it up and keep it growing and keep it healthy and beautiful off year round I will be adding it by the end of the month thank you so very much🙏🙏🤙
I had a patch of sandburs on a new lawn. Not many but they were in the area elsewhere. I dug them up by the roots. They came back a couple of seasons before I eliminated them. Did the same with crabgrass in another area.

Great video! Ty. I love my brown dormant lawn especially when it doesn’t have those green patches of Poa in it!😂
I hear you. 👍

Changeup works great on Creeping Charlie also

Great Video! Quick question, why did you stop using Spectacle Flo on St Augustine?

10:48 hey, are you mixing prodimine and princep? Thanks
I do mix those

I've been told liquid does a slightly better job and is typically cheaper. But I think either one is just fine

I am spraying a fall pre-emergent today. Not sure you have a whole lot of time left to give it much of a boost
What's your opinion on a 7-0-20 application Mid-Septmeber on Zoysia? Thanks.
@@stevenhicks8171 I could see where that would be helpful to help the lawn get through winter

Perennial ryegrass is much prettier

Please tell me what to use on sandburs and goat heads
I don't know
