This makes me feel older than I am, and I'm old...
@@locomike102 lmao trust me, my friend…I am right there with you. I still remember when Chaos AD came out and my cousin bought it. he played it and I fell in love with that album!
Sepultura is one of the most important bands in Metal. \m/\m/
Max specifically, imho
@@shotaholic1 Absolutely. Max is a legend.
NAILBOMB is also fucking incredible
@@Steven-kx5sh Hell yea
A-fuckn-men
When you mix your culture or folklore with your work in another level. Respect to Sepultura.
Sepultura helped keep metal alive during those dark days of the 90;'s
Sepultura and Pantera were both huge for the 90’s
@@shotaholic1 I di say "helped" 😁

what other Brazilian bands do you know about
@@s.f.morris7331 Angra, Sarcofago, Krisiun, Korzus, Dorsal Atlantica, Torture Squad, Nervosa, Crypta...
I knew someone would know some. I have heard of Nervosa not the other ones,. @@rafaelan5126
Boa!@@rafaelan5126
Mystifier, Goat Penis, Amazarak. We have a lot of giant bands in our underground \m/
This album changed my entire perspective on music, and metal specifically, when it was released, and after all these years I go back to it regularly.
it is a fantastic album, indeed.
Igor is so underrated. Sad. He's a freaking beast.
I’m a Slaytanic Soldier for life. I’ve followed Slayer for almost 35 years Dave and Paul both are phenomenal drummers but I hands down agree with you… Igor is so underrated. He is absolutely my favorite drummer
@@troydioso3149 slayer fan since 85 here.
Sepultura do Brasil 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿!!!!!
Chaos AD, Roots and the first Soulfly album might personally be the best string of album releases I’ll ever see from one artist. Life changing musically.
Arise and Beneath the remains are better than all of those.
Archangel and Psychosis might be the best projects Max Cavalera has put out
@@badspark13 That's funny because my brother is like you, his favourites are Arise and Beneath the Remains. Whereas my favourites are Chaos AD and Roots.
HELL YEAH!! Roots such an underrated album for so long. I’m so glad to see it get the spins and recognition it most definitely deserves. 🤘🏻😎
couldn't agree more!
Sepultura do Brasil!! 🇧🇷🤘🏻🇧🇷
Sepultura ended when Max left PERIOD.
Fr, I barely can understand what derek says most of the time, max was simply too good
You said it.
I was 15 years old when I went to my first Sepultura show in Maceió, Brazil, last year I went to their show with my 16 year old daughter (one of the few songs we both liked), for me they are part of my family, I leave my tribute to this band that has been with me for practically my entire life
Maior banda de metal dos tempos.
Única.
Sepultura Brasil para o mundo
Seen sepultura live in 1993. Great live show!
🇧🇷 VIVA SEPULTURA
Of all the metal bands around 🤔 Sepultura will always have a special place in my list 😎
Igor is a badass drummer. His double bass is sick
Dude, I wish more people would listen to him and Pete Sandovol more. Both are on a level by themselves
@@tieneeddoawestruck2036 I don’t know who Pete is but Igor is a amazing drummer. Sepultura’s beats were so dope. Especially on Ratamahatta. That song is so dope.
@@tomking7080 Pete was the drummer for morbid angel. Check out covenant or domination. He was an absolute beast
@@tieneeddoawestruck2036 never heard of the band but I will check it out. I’m 46 years old,Gen X, and grew up on Metallica,Megadeth, Slayer,Motley Crew,Guns N Roses,Korn, Slipknot,Deftones,Tool,Sepultura,Soulfly,Pantera. 80’s-90’s hip hop like Biggie,Pac,DMX,NWA,Wu-Tang,Nas, Jay,Eminem,Cypress Hill,EPMD,KRS-ONE,LL,Icecube,Snoop,Kurupt,50,The Game. The 90’s in my opinion was the best era for music in all genres. Hip hop, grunge, metal, pop the 90’s had so many amazing artists and groups out during that era.
I dont know a single person (even non metal heads) that don't end up rocking out and loving this song.. Love the message and intensity. Everything about this song is infectious and exhilarating
Battle song approved, great band and Max is a beast
I remember being this obsessed with metal teenager, trying to make everyone listen to what I listen to.
And it was kinda cute when on school's subject "Culture" I made a presentation about Sepultura, and this young teacher told me "Oh, yeah, my husband loves Sepultura so much" 😅😅😅
It was fun 'cause of the whole class we were the only two who actually appreciated this music.
First!
Haven't heard of these guys... will have to check them out.
this album is so groove heavy, it’s fantastic! haha they are/were a Brazilian metal band. the singer (Max Cavalara) moved on to form Soulfly and his brother (Igor) is the drummer, who they together started Cavalara Conspiracy. if you like heavy, they are great bands.
Chaos A.D. is a masterpiece album--that's a good place to start.
@@locomike102 yes, Chaos is the album I was introduced to them with. it was a toss up between Roots, Refuse/Resist or Territory. I polled it and Roots came out on top.
By all means Momma, you'll love them.
Thanks you guys. There's a slight chance I might start doing reactions of my own. Haven't decided yet but there is so much good shit I don't know about. lol. But if I do, I will definitely check these guys out. I like what I hear in this song!
I love songs about love!!roots bloody roots!!!❤❤❤
Max and Igor are legends. 🤘
Sepultura do brasil 🤟🤟 🇧🇷 orgulho de nos brasileiros

Classic!🤘🏻
Great job!!!🇧🇷
thank you very much
Arise is my favorite Sepultura album personally with Chaos A.D coming in second. Roots is pretty damn good though. A shame about the band coming to an end, but I hope Eloy Casagrande furthers his career and finds a good place to continue his musicianship (possibly Slipknot if rumors are true).
Chaos AD is my personal favorite. it’s the album I was introduced to them with. Roots is my second, I felt it was quite underrated for a long time. nice to see it get the recognition these days.
Ohhh yurrrr.....🤘🤘🤘
I missed out on some great bands back in the day, like sepultura, soulfly. Stuff like that. I was too busy listening to black metal and some grunge. I need to get back into it again. I miss them days in the 90's.
Max lives here in N. Phoenix or at least he use to. I would see him at the Jack N the Box on 32 street and Cactus sometimes during the day. He basically lived across the street and he would walk up there. I went to Dana’s funeral when I was a sophomore in college in 1996. That was a sad loss because even though Dana was Max’s stepson Max treated Dana like his own child. RIP DANA.
One of my favorite Sepultura songs. That Soulfly album that’s dedicated to Dana is bad ass also.
I was at the show at Club Rio, it was a Soulfly show, it was right after Dana passed away. It was soulfly, Hed PE, and Hemlock. All the lead singers came out with soulfly and Max’s son who’s was probably 10 years old at the time sang Roots. It was insane and I’m sure you could hear the noise all the way across Mill Ave. Insane show.
obra prima do metal mundial,🤘🏻

I love Derrick Green in vocals...but, Max Cavalera destroyed....no Cavalera, no sepultura
I saw them tour this album with Danzig (sucks live) and Ozzy. And I love Ozzy but they stole the show.
that’s cool. I never got to see Sepultura or Danzig…but I have seen Ozzy many times, seen the Misfits (without Danzig) and I’ve seen Cavalera Conspiracy. Max & Igor did Root and Refuse/Resist. that was a great show!
@@shotaholic1 I still would see Danzig with the Misfits just because. It’s Danzig era or none for me lol.
@@Steven-kx5sh as a rule, I agree…but my friends and I saw them back around 2004 when it was Jerry (bass & singing) Dez Cadena and Marky Ramone. we got to hangout and have a beer with them after because we knew the people who were running the venue. it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we couldn’t pass that up.
@@shotaholic1 Yeah not every day you get to kick it with legends.

Isn't Sepultura Death Metal
they started off more death, but evolved to be a mix of death, thrash and groove.
This is the moment Sepultura lost the plot ooga booga jungle crap
?????
Onya shayne. You do know where Brazil is right?
That's a no!
I understand it’s not for everyone…but my taste in music is extremely eclectic and ranges from Delta blues to extreme metal…and everything in between. sorry you didn’t care for a track, maybe the next is more suitable?
I’ll give you a hint…it’s an early 2000’s rock ballad. 🤫😁
