This video is Episode 3 of 4 of the InTooDeep 2024 boat trip from Maine to Florida. As you may have seen a few videos back, I spent this summer up in Maine working and fixing up my boat. One day this summer down on the docks at the marina, I met a kid that also had a big old motor boat. To make a long story short, we became friends and I convinced my him to quit his job to hop on his 1979 Jersey 40ft sportfish to boat convoy to Florida with me lol. I am on my 1968 Hatteras 50 motor yacht that I bought down in FL last year after hurricane Ian tipped her over on her side and popped a hole in the hole. Stay tuned for an action packed epic adventure. As always, Thanks for watching and enjoy these absolutely action packed videos. If you like the Videos, Subscribe! 😀

Gus's calm demeanor, and Ethan's perseverance has made for one hell of a travel team. Vaya con dios gentlemen.
I'll give a shout out to Cam, even though he ditched you guys early, but I think that boating isn't for everyone and maybe a few drinks let his true feelings out. Save travels, dude. And some big kudos to Ethan for handling the storm, managing the boat on one engine, and getting the trans sorted - nice job! Thanks for posting Gus, and looking forward to the next installment.
He is a quitter
@@nephilly87he joined them last second prob thought it was gonna be a booze cruise all the way to Florida
didn't he join them on a whim? somehow I think Cam has commitment problems
@@nephilly87 An 'eye opener' for Cam : What he did at 1 o'clock in the morning is the sign of a True Alcoholic !! I KNOW of which I speak. My last drink was Wednesday, June 16, 1993. I Know !! Hope you see this, Cam.
Cam is a viber you oldheads wouldn't get it
Gus is such a solid, honest soul. Love going on these adventures with you.
The level of skill shown by someone that has no real background in mechanics is amazing not to mention the boat handling in the storm , next level my dude respect
I love that Gus can't wipe the smile off his face - "Just cruising"
He lives for that!
Not only for that, for fun and enjoying, very nice 👍🏻
Great video looking forward to watching more

Another great video. You guys are restoring this 62yo faith in the next generations.
Sorry for the loss of your grandmother. Carry on, go forth, and enjoy fellas.
I love it - "we don't hire people to fix our boats!" - I could not agree more!
Once they told me "It starts at $1000 and goes up from there." I too learned real fast how to work on my own boat!!
Same, I only work on my cars, boats, toys!
It was the best part of the video!
Way to go Ethan! Great job taking on a project out of your comfort zone. And good on Gus for giving him the support.
Nice work Ethan. Nothing more satisfying than fixing something you feel unqualified to fix. It is sweet.
I fixed my washing machine twice a few years back lol. Good times for sure hehhe
Ethan - next level footage. Fixing a transmission- and didn't spend 4hrs talking about it. Brilllllliant!
Great episode, with a fine team of folks. Gus, you're a great friend. Very positive.
The bond of two young captains coming together to put out fires is just therapeutic! Great emotional support system you guys have! I can see you guys being great friends for YEARS to come!
You two are gone to amazing lengths in restoring my faith in the younger generation ! I hope there are more around like you.
Nice job Frosty. Gus is amazing..I can't believe, for his age, what a great mechanic he is. Good luck boys.
Ethan is FEARLESS! I mean, he’s been through the shit and doesn’t give in, LOL. Give him a good boat and he will conquer the World!🎉👍
well done Gus, your videos are absolutely a must watch
I agree! He is so freaking talented! No jams if Gus is there. He can fix anything!
Condolences to you and your family for the loss of Grandma. May her memory be eternal, my man.
I love your guys’ determination and Grit! Ethan great job on the transmission rebuild and Gus sorry for the loss of your grandmother. May she RIP!
Way to go Ethan! As an old school gearhead, It's great to see younger folks figuring things out and learning mechanical stuff.
Best video so far! Fixing the tranny in a port far from home brings back SOO many similar memories. Luckily, I never had a repair as complicated as Ethan’s! His “grit” is amazing!
Very good video. My favorite part this time was Ethan working on his transmission It's good to see somebody able to figure out how to reassemble a rather complicate piece of equipment in an uncomfortable situation like you had, good job!
Thank you for the beautiful scenery, and the mental escape. My deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your grandmother. Argh! old boats like old houses, one repair after another.
Well done to Frosty - He did a good job on the drive. Very nice video - Good luck to you both! John
Ethan is due his scrambled eggs at the completion of this voyage.
Great attitude young man!
There's no feeling like successfully staring down marine disaster and fixing your boat yourself! Cruising is definitely fixing your boat in exotic places!
Brilliant video , I can’t wait for the continuation , Best wishes from the U.K.🇬🇧🇬🇧
I really enjoy your videography and humor. And Ethan - great work on running Frosty and fixing her. Boats are a challenge and Ethan stepped up! Stay safe!
Pat, the previous owner of Frosty 5 would be proud of your travels and adventures you're having with his old boat!
Thank you for continuing to upload. My wife and I dream to loop on a budget while we are still fairly young. Thanks for sharing the dream brother! 🙏
Yeah you guys definitely should do it .don't hold back live your dreams and make new dreams a reality .
Remember kids, be better at things than me. Great line
Frosty's dingy was stolen, we got the dingy back and had to get the heck out of there... LMAO! ... Gus, I wish I could have been there! Something tells me it was an adventure getting that Dingy back ??? !!!
I was just thinking to myself you are always such a happy guy you look like you’re always having a good time even when there’s problems and then you say you got to go to your grandmothers funeral dude condolences and respect for your stoicism
I hope Cam made it somewhere safe at that time of night and made it home safely, We've all had those nights of drinking to much and not being rational, You never know what he was dealing with in life and maybe he's last minute decision to go on that trip was too much and was fighting with being over his head and knew the further he got from home the harder it was going to be to get home. Hope your safe Cam
Well said. He is a good kid, I made sure he was going to be safe and there are no hard feelings.
@@InTooDeepBro Your a good guy Gus and he's always going to have an amazing story about that time he decided to just hop on a boat and see the East coast!!
I gotta stop working now and watch Gus!!!!❤
Thanks Gus for another great video. Loving your adventures ..
And so sorry about your Grandma's passing, my condolences to you and your family.
OK, the drone shots are cool and all, but I think we'd all love to see more of your narration, and waaaaaaay more of your shenanigans, like the motorized shopping cart footage, and things like that. You're hilarious, and you should exploit your hilariousness. 😅😅😅
Naw, I think that’s the worst part. It cool to have fun but that stuff is kinda goofy and actually irritating if you work there but I’ve never been a Jackass person - the real boating stuff is much better to watch.
Yayyyy another intodeep post!!! Fav boating videos on UA-cam man, safe travels out there
I’ve never waited for a video so anxiously! 😂
A+ for that fancy sneak-in to your sponsor Gus, that's a first. Great job!
Enjoy your vids! Keep it up. I do cringe a little, though, when I see thinks like Frosty cutting across the storm in his dingy without even a life jacket on.... safety first!
Ethan you did a great job!👍
Great episode, thank you. Gus is an inspiration, enjoying every moment, his smile and spirit are an inspiration. And congrats to you, Ethan, you closed the episode with your own success and broad smile. Thank you for sharing the journey with us.
So nice to see you in my neck of the woods. Love Sanitary!
Sorry for your loss Gus. Great work Ethan! I'm not a professional mechanic either, so when a project is a success it's really sweet!
OK, just started the vid, up to date on the others. Glad to see you're being sponsored and I have to say, that was the best push for a sponsor that I have ever seen, seriously, well done.
Sorry to hear about your Grandma, am sure she was very proud of you. Your eternal optimism is something she must have appreciated as well. This was another great video and the two of you show to everyone else that going out to sea and just doing it is absolutely possible. Looking forward to the video of the next leg of the journey.
This is an example of why I always say it's better to be lucky than good.
Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. I am very sorry to hear your grandmother died. I am sure she was very proud of you.
Gus is an amazing problem solver!!!
GREAT JOB ETHAN & GUS on the Frosty repair!!
Gus, sincere condolences on the loss of your Grandmother🙏. I can only imagine how proud of you she must have been to see what an outstanding young man, mechanic and captain you’ve become. Kudos to Ethan for keeping calm and weathering the storm and fixing the problem(with your help). Sorry to see Cam go but something tells me a few beers may have altered his thinking and my guess is he may regret that decision the next day. This series is so much fun to watch, I’m almost sad to think the next part may be the end. But I’m sure you’ll continue to post your adventures once you get to Florida. 😊
You guys are truly skilled mechanics, I tip my hat to you. Nice work getting that transmission back together Ethan.
Love the extended drone shot clips / chill vibe music you’ve been using the past few videos. Great trip and video series
Good Lads. A real Roller Coaster Ride for sure! Thanks for sharing.
You two seem to enjoy breaking down and fixing things as much as cruising. I'm jealous!
Smoothest segway into an sponsor 😆
Lets go Ethan! Helluva job man!
Great job gentlemen!!! Loving your content Gus…it takes me back to my childhood days in Florida when I was first introduced to boating. I’m 60 now and semi-retired but still as young in mind and spirit as I was back in those days! So, if you ever need a deckhand for a trip - I’m always up for a new adventure and I’ll even help with the expenses 🤙
Cheers!
That was the most awesome ending! Great job Frosty!
Condolences for the loss of your Grandmother. I had two wonderful grandmothers that I got to know well. Great job on weathering the storm and the repair on the Frosty V! As always you produce great content and I enjoy watching it.
Damn but I know the feeling of satisfaction after making a repair when you have absolutely no real idea of what you are doing.....one of the greatest feelings in the world!
Thank you for sharing part of your travels. Sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. Great drone postage
Your promotions are so entertaining - I actually watch them and smile - I even remember it was about Aura - I never remember who commercials are about 😂 - I’m trying Aura
NIceJob Frosty! I love My simple 671's
Love watching your stuff, Gus. I've been binging these adventures, and Kudo's to your chose of friends. Ethan is a stalwart kinda guy. it's cool he kept is attitude so positive through the storm and the transmission issue.
Well done Ethan, I know that feeling of putting something back together and trying it for the first time. No better feeling than having it fire up without issues (and no worse feeling to fire it up and it's still a problem, ha, ha).
I was genuinely excited for your buddy putting together that Transmission. Great content guys, watched all the way through, looking forward to seeing more Adventures!
Hell yeah Ethan
Charleston is a great city to visit with all the historical things there are to see. I feel bad for Cam that he is having so many issues with Frosty V. Safe travels home Gus. I am so sorry to hear that your Grandmother passed.
WOW awesome video. Best one yet! Loving watching these adventures of yours. Extremely interesting. Really outstanding!!!
Good job Ethan!!!!!
cool dolphin escort @ 9:20! Good video, thanks for uploading. Keep the content coming!!
Good job guys. Kudos Ethan. I laughed when you said something like “I’m not a mechanic I’m just some idiot that bought a boat “. I hate to say it but I’m 60 and still feel that way sometimes. But you did fine.
... you BOTH are gold... awesome... partnership well done through the adversity and a total touch-down at the end... perfect. Love it. :)
Choice commercial Gus. You are truly a man of many talents. 🤙
I made myself a spring mix omelette and sat down for an hour of awesome entertainment, fantastic editing and footage. I love being along for the journey! Thanks for sharing! Well done guys! 🛥🛥🛥⚓
Quite the adventure! Great to have such great mechanical skills! I look forward to the next episode! Fair winds guys!
really enjoyed the repair at the end of the video. Awesome
Good job boys your killin it! Ethan, way to go fixing the coupler, pretty awkward position. And I thought changing a starter on a merc IO sucked. 👍👍👍🇺🇸
Great job Ethan!
"It's kickin up now Jeezum!" - Tell me you're a Mainer without telling me you're a Mainer.
Watching your journey. During this leg you passed the Seagate on the Adam’s Creek ICW, where my parents had built their retirement home and kept their 34 ft Bristol sailboat. Your will also be passing my sisters home in Mt Pleasent SC. Her home overlooks the ICW marsh and you can see the casbah to Sullivan Island and the Ben Sawyer bridge. Safe passage south!
I commented before I saw the whole video, and the area that I was talking about you bypassed with the Ocean transit.
I know one day hopefully I will be able to be on his boat going on a journey with them and I pass Adams Creek alot when going down east to check on my buddy's horses and to go out to Beaufort.and Seagate is a nice area right before the tall bridge I always look down to see who's traveling through and I have a lot of friends who work down at Parker boats
@@donnyjosker1980 Unfortunately it was many years since they had lived there and are no longer with us. Always enjoyed watching the boat traffic up and down the canal when we visited, as their house was right on the canal. There was a draw bridge there when they lived there.
Those old 9.5 sport twins were great
7:39 regae, sweeet!
Smooth ad placement that would even make Ed Bolian proud. 👌
Watching these videos is really giving me the itch to do an icw trip from nj to to Florida. Might be a little crampt on a 32’ blackfin, but I think it’s doable!
Wow, great episode. Hats off to you guys on that repair, well done!!
Travel well Cam . I hope the Swedish triplets were worth it!. LolNa good fella.
Lovin' the vids Gus!
Very impressed how you and Ethan handle your vessels and situations!
Keep on keepin' on !!
You GUYS rock . The struggle in real . Thing about where you guys will be in ten years.
9:34min -> Flipper 😍😍😍
Epic shot 🙏
Great job Ethan! And another great episode. Thanks guys.
9:09 nice dolphin action!
Great video and impressive work as always guys! I am sorry for the loss of your Grandmother Gus, my condolences to you and your family…
You guys👍Hell yeah! I love it. You two guy’s putting it out there like that, I’m loving all the work and showing us the breakdowns. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. So proud of you guys👍🇺🇸
You are living my dream right now!
Go Gus!!!!!!
Ethan killed it and y'all living the life enjoy
nothing beats being out there on the ocean
