I made it and it was perfect. I didn’t have any baking soda so I used 3x the same amount of baking powder instead. I had only cinnamon sticks so I blended that and used that. I’m so happy I found this, I usually use the boxed banana bread but this was 100% better, it was better than any banana bread I have bought from the shop.
My son made this for me and it was absolutely fantastic just like a normal banana loaf. My son used half gluten free flour and half almond flour and it turned out fantastic. Can’t thank you enough for this recipe
my sister and i baked this and it turned out perfect!!! the flavor was BEAUTIFUL and the perfect amount of banana. there were some errors on our part, like undercooking it by just a smidge and leaving it in the pan for too long so the crust got a bit soggy. but the recipe is perfect. i’d bake it again 100%.
Made this last night! Ooooowwee! Has got to be the best banana bread recipe I've ever tasted! I followed the instructions to the T (added chocolate chips to some of the batter) and oh wow it is AWESOME! OH yeah, I also let the batter sit for about 15 minutes because I heard that if you let gluten-free batter sit before you cook it the grainy texture decreases. And it worked this banana bread tastes just like the regular banana bread!
I rarely post comments but this recipe is just so good. I made it a few hrs ago around midnight because I was craving banana bread and I didn’t have any mix in the house but I did have 3 super old bananas. I didn’t have baking soda or honey either but I replaced the baking soda for 3 teaspoons of baking powder and the honey for more sugar (1:1) and it was PERFECT. It tastes just like the GF banana mixes at the store. I’ve tried other recipes and they always come out too wet and doughy because gluten free flour can be a little weird to work with but that’s not an issue with this recipe. It’s moist and fluffy, not wet or doughy. Def try it!
Hi Robin! I haven’t really cooked or baked very much for several years- due to physical problems & pain; but today my bananas were very sorry looking, indeed! So I decided to look up a Gluten Free recipie- and found yours!! You use the same kind of Gluten Flour I had! (But never opened!) 😉. Bonanza! I knew you were my “go to” banana bread lady! Well, I’m cleaning up the MESS- not used to baking in my small kitchen, so I’ve covered a lot of surface with flour dust, etc! I gave up my large oven- it’s mainly storage for pots & pans; so I’m now using a larger countertop 2door oven that doubles as an air fryer! I’m starting to smell something wonderful, got my fingers crossed!! I’ll get back to you after it’s out, cooled, and tasted!! Can’t wait! This is a big deal for me today!😂
Hi- it’s me, Gail! Had my first taste! It’s delicious!! Wasn’t sure how this little oven would bake; but my banana bread is PERFECT! And DELICIOUS! Thank you SO much- you’re my official teacher! Love , & Hugs! 💗🤗💗🤗💗🤗💗
Thank you thank you I am gluten-free and I’m watching my diet and I’m doing good thank you to your recipe recipe I love it I can’t wait to make it God bless you and your family and God bless all people around the world Amen 🙏 🙏✝️👏🥰🥰💝😍💐💐😍💕🥬🥑🍒🧅🌹🥝🥦🥭🥒🍍🌍
Thank you for sharing your recipe I just made this for a friend of mine who has celiac disease and has to eat gluten free to live a better life. It's in the oven baking as we speak. Mine looked just like yours going into the oven I hope it comes out looking just like yours as well :) I will update once the banana bread is done baking and I've tested it. Of course I have to try a piece before I give the rest of the loaf to my friend I want to ensure it's gift worthy and then I can continue making it for him. Thank you so much again for sharing!!! :)
The bread is finished and it turned out AMAZING!!!!!! And the taste OMG seriously the best tasting banana bread i've ever had!!! I don't have to eat gluten free but I will make this bread again both for my friend and myself many times over. Delicious thanks again for this amazing recipe!!!
Fantastic! Glad you and your friend like it! I know you said you were going to try a piece before giving it to your friend. Now I'm wondering if your friend got some!! Thanks for getting back to my on your results!
Hi Robin! I didn't order the bananas from Florida, but will check 'em out online because now I'm curious! I made a double recipe of the banana bread; one was gluten-free and the other using regular flour. Both came out beautifully and are delicious! I'm making another double recipe of the gluten-free tomorrow for a neighbor who sometimes needs some help in coming up with gluten-free snacks and treats when her grandchildren visit. I'm sure they will love this! Thanks for the recipe and for another video!
Thank you so much for this! I made it today and it turned out great! I had to make a few substitutions for either dietary requirements or lack of certain ingredients. I used avocado oil in place of the butter, used quarter cup each of regular organic sugar and brown sugar to total the half cup called for, and used 1 cup bobs red mill gf flour (blue bag) plus half cup of buckwheat flour and half cup gf organic oat flour to equal the 2 cups of flour called for. It was so delicious! Thanks again!
Hey,thanks so much Robin‼️ I knew I was all set when searching for a gluten free banana bread recipe & found you! ( I've tried an Almond flour one I didn't care for) Yours is perfect! My dough seemed dry & I even put an extra egg by accident, tasted wonderfully, not too dry, but it was falling apart a little. Was that because of the extra egg? I thought eggs made things more moist, you're the expert. I used the same flour, but brown sugar instead of white. Some people add a bit of almond flour to that flour even though it has Xanthan Gum. Maybe I'll try that, with a little less gluten free flour. Any suggestions??? This will certainly be my go to banana bread recipe!! Thanks again sooo much❤️
Hi (from South Africa) Robin. I am so glad I found your channel today. I made the banana bread this afternoon and absolutely loved it! Definitely going to make it again. I also love cinnamon so I added a bit more, and I used my favorite nuts, cashews. The loaf was much denser than yours seemed to be, but I guess we get slightly different flour gluten free flower here. Any ideas if I hone in on a particular gluten free flour that could come out less dense? Thanks again...
I just happen to have 3 ripe bananas. My home is going to smell lovely this evening :-). Thank you. Oh, I don't have gluten free flour, have all purpose, coconut and almond flour.
Your a great cook.. I am new to your channel. Do you have a video on any more breads? I love zucchini bread. I did see your mayonnaise video, & I can't make it. Can you make Long John's donuts?
Hello, What are the measurements for the ingredients? I ask because there is no link for the written recipe in the description box. Appreciate your response. Thank you.

There are no measurements for the ingredients except for the eggs, and I think 1/2 cup honey, here or when I looked it up but I want to make this for my Mother who is on a Gluten free diet.

Hola, Robin. Your banana bread looks too good to eat. What did you enjoy about making banana bread?
Hola Byron! The best part about making banana bread is eating it warm out of the oven with butter on top! Hope you are enjoying your day!

I wonder if this recipe works with almond flour?
My banana bread was perfect I substituted the chopped walnuts for semisweet chocolate chips and it turned out fine
Sounds great! Thanks for letting me know!
Do you have a recipe for zucchini bread? Also, can you add shredded zucchini to this recipe? Thanks!
Cheers from Dublin, just made nice banana bread
Thanks for letting me know how it turned out Trevor!
Hello, here in the UK our butter is sold by weight in grams, so how much does a stick weigh?
Thanks
Looks great
Always nice to see another gluten free recipe 😊 thank you as always Robin. What did you think to the heat these last few weeks?
Is 1 stick butter equals to 110grams? Thanks

Hi, Robin, I was wondering can I substitute the honey and sugar with stevia or splenda?
I haven't tried it so I can't really say. If you try it, let me know how it turned out. Thanks.

How much flour? Did I miss it?
Am I missing where you gave measurements?

Is it salted or unsalted butter?
It's salted.

When I made banana but bread gluten free it turned out crumbly! Why was that?
Hi Ruth, can't say for sure but I believe the gluten has a binding element to it.

Didn’t have walnuts , tried chocolate chips… we shall see …🤞🏻
I say 1 hour on average.
White sugar isn’t an healthy option, it’s better to use raw sugar or the coconut one.
