as a guy with a brain damage (I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and I'm fine so no need to be worried haha) I feel this dog on a spiritual level. I would do so much for this dog

I love how this "brain-damaged" dog is better behaved than most of the "normal" dogs!
I agree, and he's absolutely beautiful...
When you're living the "no thoughts, head empty" meme, there's nothing to distract you from doing what you're told.
It's obvious why: he was treated well by his owners. Thumbs up for raising such a good floofy boy!
I loved how in the shower when she was working on his backside he had his paws on the wall. Like Here better access my friend.
Well yeah - he’s not too smart for his own good like say your average poodle.
At the same time it’s easier to groom an a puppy than a full grown dog that hasn’t been groomed, trained, and properly socialized.
I have brain development damage and act like a child sometimes due to it but I'm very smart mentally, just not physically. So I appreciate the love given. We're not broken, we're just needing a little extra care.

We rescued an abused dog. It was soon obvious that he had brain damage. He was such an amazing dog. We’d often wonder “If it weren’t for the horrible people that did those things to him, how much more amazing would he have been?” So smart. So sweet. Loved snuggling.
as an akbash owner i was blown away by his temperament, happy hoodies off to these wonderful owners for loving and raising such an amazing dog
More often than not, love is all it takes! Well said my friend :)
How is it like to have akbash? I've been interested on them for a while, but I doubt I could ever get one. First I need sheep lol.
I have two Akbash Pyrenees mix. They are strong-willed, loyal, and loving dogs. That said, we had to move from a rural community with lots of acreage to a smaller place with only 5 acres. I would not recommend seeking out owning these dogs unless you have a large, fenced in property, with neighbors who can’t hear the barking. With neighbors close by, 5 acres is not enough. I have tried everything, and it has been a struggle. Nevertheless, I will never choose to separate from them.
@@ithewho6603 the last reply definitely has some great points and it’s important to know this breed is a working dog who needs stimulation/work/exercise everyday. they are independent but when they choose to love its endless cuddles and kisses. training them is a task and a half since they have their own idea of how stuff should be run. if this is your first dog do not get an akbash, and if you have had ones before definitely try to have experience with working breeds because these dogs do not take a holiday off. that being said when they are well trained and worked daily they are absolute sweet hearts and lovers all the way.
Well if he’s a forever puppy he’s already better behaved than 99% of the huskies on this channel. He did so well for the groom!
Whenever I hear "husky," I automatically flex my right hand. My son-in-law's husky crushed it when I picked him up from the groomer a few years ago. I'd trade him for Trooper in a split second.

But then you come along, sharing your good fortune with the free grooms and I am heartened knowing that there are good souls still around to do the right thing and spread charity. Thank you so much for just you being you. May God bless and continue making me cry. They are good tears.

I remember when a friend of ours who has a dog rescue brought a 12 week old puppy who had brain damage from birth and couldn't walk properly or hear over to our house to socialize with our Bernese Mountain Dog, Brodie. Brodie realized right away that there was something seriously wrong with the puppy and he just layed down on the grass and let the puppy climb all over him. The puppy followed him around for the rest of the day like he was his mother. I have never been so proud of my Brodie for giving the puppy one of the happiness of his life!
Lots of love to dear Brodie! ❤
I’m gonna cry, Brodie is too good for this world!
Bless those who gave him extra love and care!! We need more people on this earth willing to care for disabled dogs 🥺
Yep one of my dogs went blind and she’s adjusted very well .. Ruby Ann is still a happy wagging tail pup.
They would be the same that wouldn't care for a disabled human
@AdrianAlvarez2340 True. That's why it would be your responsibility to find a place for them where they gonna be taken care of. Never just leave them, never abandon them. That would be just evil.
I adopted a rescue little cavapoo and I never knew about her main disability. The rescue centre wasn't aware as she was only there a short time. She was born without a tail and has issues with her anal glands. Her malformed spine requires pain killers every day to live a good life. I paid alot of money to get her xrayed and was quite shocked to see her mangled vertebre. Yes she costs me alot in vets fees and insurance but she gives me lots of love in return. I spent many years looking after my poorly old uncle after his wife died, so to me showing compassion is no different towards humans or animals.
If only people would do the same for babies in the uterus and children.
his droopy eyes, his one floppy ear, the head tilt, it says it all. he has got to be one of the sweetest dogs on the planet.
Trooper = what a fitting name. He's a solider battling through his disability.

Some big dogs like the attention. My cousin personally grooms his St. Bernard and the dog does a happy dance each time. If you say the word "Groom" his eyes light up.
He's better behaved than both of my dogs.
i mean, a behaved puppy is so much more common than a behaved older dog. just seems like when they grow up, they learn that they can get away with things, and that they are a grown dog who either has the speed and bite to push you around. or the bulky muscle mass

It's a miracle he is so happy after that trauma. Not an ounce of fear. 10/10 on the good boy scale.
It’s not emotional trauma it’s physical trauma. So there wouldn’t be fear associated since it was an injury while he was still a puppy
The dogs disability is man made, if the dog was fed naturally on RAW, 60% animal + 40% vegetal, and nothing else given, then the disability would end under 2-3 weeks.
Ofc after a couple diarrhea days, the time for the dog to cleanse its body out of bad food.
@@David.124 by that logic humans can't become traumatized if they are physically abused during childhood
@@matildas3177 No what I’m saying is that Vanessa is talking about Physical trauma, like if something hits your leg and you need physical therapy. This made me miss my baby girl… she was never quite right from the day we got her. She never really grew up mentally, but we didn’t know what was wrong exactly. She was like a puppy until the day she passed. Luckily she was small like one too. She always just had these big dopey happy eyes and a bounce in her step.
MY PREVIOUS DOG WAS THE SAME! Thank you so much for bringing back the memories. Roxy was a gold Lab/Lab retriever mix, and absolutely mental. Not a single thing was right with her and I'm certain that she had some kind of mental disability, and she was just so precious. Yes, she literally ate our kitchen floor once, and devoured several years' Christmas gifts, she was a complete menace, but she was so cute and so full of love. Her eyes were always so round and dopey and silly. She lived to about twelve until she had to be put to sleep, but never once stopped behaving like a puppy, not even when the arthritis started getting to her. God, I miss her stupid face.
I had a kitty who had gotten a head injury as a kitten. He had a forever twisted to the side head (like the old RCA mascot dog), which is a sign that a cat has neurological damage, and he got tired more quickly than other kitties. Other than that, he was fine, and was super sweet. Our Forever Kitten.
We named him Sir Frank, after Sir Frank Williams, which seemed apt.
His parents are hero’s! I love that they think of him as a furever puppy. It helps when you are still picking up accidents. I have one too. She is 6 and we still have “puppy” issues.

Adore this boy!! We also had a dog, a dachshund, who suffered brain damage and was a forever puppy. In his case it was a hypoxic brain injury as a result of anaphylactic shock due to being allergic to the leptospirosis vaccine - we did not know then that this is a known issue with dachshunds. We were able to limit his seizures with lifestyle and medication, and ended up having him for almost 17 years. He was forever 10 weeks old, could be challenging to manage, and was 💯 % worth it.
Had never heard of doxies being sensitive to leptospirosis vaccine, that's great info, thank you.
Same happened with my dachshund.
I had a dachshund for about 2 years as a child. I had no idea something like that was a risk. I wonder if he ever got or went on to get that vaccine after his early life with us.
Just to clarify, while dachshunds have a higher risk than most other breeds of having a reaction to the leptospirosis vaccine, the risk is still very low, and the risk of a severe reaction like my little fellow had is even lower than that. Always talk to your vet, and determine the leptospirosis exposure risk for your area and lifestyle before making a decision about whether or not to get the vaccine, which is optional. Leptospirosis is a curable bacterial disease, if it’s caught before it does organ damage.
@@jenniferlandry5767 Correct. It took about three years for our dog to come out of it. About the time it takes for the vaccines to run their course. Oftentimes it is the combo of giving too many vaccines at once. I found a Veterinarian who knew how to handle it and pace the vaccines.

and to whoever placed him in such a good home! placing such a young puppy esp one w disabilities had to have been scary af, i imagine they’d be happy to see how well he’s doing now 🫶🏻
Would be interesting to know what difficulties he has because of it, he's clearly a good boy.
I cried so hard when I heard his story and he kept looking into the camera with some of the sweetest eyes I’ve ever seen
My baby, he is so precious. As long as he is not agony from the brain damage, he has quality of life. He is so sweet and mellow.
He really was so calm and was a good fluffy boy.
He was a sweetheart! I feel a slight kinship, all of my disabilities are invisible too.
What a sweet, beautiful, well-behaved doggie. Love ❤️ him!
He genuinely brought a tear to my eye. I have a daughter with neurological issues and seeing a wonderful fur angel like him being loved as he deserves genuinely touched me. Unfortunately us humans don't always even treat our own humans with challenges the way they deserve so it's just wonderful what you're doing. He reminds me of my daughters service dog (RIP Tony the Pony aka Polar Bear). Pure angel. May you be blessed ❤
You're Troopers Mama? Please give him plenty of love and kisses from me ❤
I have a neurologically impaired kitty, and he is the sweetest boy. None of the vets are quite sure what's wrong, but he has a fantastic life with the help of medication and patience ❤
He looks like a perfectly normal dog until you look into his eyes and he looks back at you like: 👁️👄👁️
I love that little guy!
You mentioned his eyes. They look human with the emotion in them
Thank you so much for helping me rein in my toxic obsession with true crime by giving me this relaxing, satisfying, and wholesome content to watch instead. I'm a dog trainer and dogs are life but after training all day, it's nice to watch something about dogs that isn't what I do all day.. you also help me become a better groomer for my dogs and my clients!!
You might appreciate Kimbyrleigha. I personally also have a soft spot for Noor.
Yep same here 😂 needed a break but my brain keeps going back for more
@@bigasspockets why is it so addictive?!?
I have started to put in some boundaries when it comes to true crime too. It definitely can be addictive but lot of it can be exploitative or unethical so I don't really want to support channels like that (important they are respectful towards victims and families and don't speculate all kinds of ridiculous theories about on going cases and specially accuse likely innocent people) or affect your mental health negatively if you're not in a good place.
@@teijaflink2226 I know!! I completely agree 👍 but it feels like that's the majority of what YT has to offer!! More content like this please!
We took in my brother’s dog for her retirement. She has kidney disease, arthritis, and cancer. Every day with her is a blessing and I absolutely love being her bonus mom ❤
The dogs disability is man made, if the dog was fed naturally on RAW, 60% animal + 40% vegetal, and nothing else given, then the disability would end under 2-3 weeks.
Ofc after a couple diarrhea days, the time for the dog to cleanse its body out of bad food.
Despite the brain damage, all of our dogs are forever puppies.
Watching this transfomation, that puppy did absolutely amazing for temperment and patience while getting his spa day!
And thank you so very much for being able to afford to do these cleanings out of love for the animals and your kind hearted generosity!
"Despite the brain damage, all of our dogs are forever puppies."
No they are not. And should never be seen nor treated as such.
Trooper has done brilliantly well for his 1st grooming session. I have give credit to Trooper's owners for taking good care of Trooper and training him to be well-behaved even if he is suffering from brain damage.
From what I understand, Trooper's brain is closer in development to a puppy than another 3 year old dog his age. The trauma caused issues with the brain's maturity and development milestones. He's still been able to learn and be trained (as puppies can be trained) but has the skills and maturity closer to something like a well-trained 1 year old dog. Is this true?
The owners are good at training dogs for certain, glad he found such a good home ❤️
From a development standpoint what sort of milestones have been or would be trickier for him to reach given his brain damage? Would it be balance oriented, or self discipline related?
@@ChandlerFaye The main difference between an adult dog and a puppy is that puppies want to play all the time and have difficulty switching from playtime to work mode. Their patience and attention spans are thinner and they’re generally more impulsive, just like the comparison between a human adult and a human child. Which can make cementing training a lot harder. They’re also emotionally needy and cannot be left alone for more than an hour or two, simply because they as little babies aren’t able to reason that their people will come back, it’s not the end of the world if they’re left alone, and they will ultimately be fine because they can take care of themselves. This lack of internal independence means they’re more prone to being frightened by everyday things. Puppies can be desensitized and socialized to deal with this, but they can also regress a lot easier than an adult dog, and generally when a dog grows up they grow out of fearful behavior and learn to trust their owners in new situations if socialized and desensitized correctly.
If I had to guess, training a forever puppy means needing an infinite amount of time and patience.
I would die for him 10 times over
Awe…. Sweet boy, I’m so glad to hear he had loving parents who take good care of him.
❤ "his fur is what dreams are made of... ...or potentially clouds." That's so perfect. 😂❤
He's a very well behaved forever puppy. I expected a lot of wriggling and whining but he was very placid. Good boy! (P.S. You did a marvellous job, as ever!)
I work with him at a dog care occasionally. His brother is his protector so Trooper is a chill guy.
6:09 that headtilt was so adorable. he's such a good boy.
There was another grooming channel that was getting really popular a few years ago. People would say they were too rough, etc. After watching you I see exactly what they meant.
You do such an amazing job and are SO patient. If we were in your area I’d 1000% want you to groom our Shih Tzu’s.
Do you know what they call a Shih Tzu crossed with a Bull Terrier?
@@alexsetterington3142what? A bull-shit lol
Bless you 🧻
Thanks for highlighting this boy. We had a cat that was "challenged" when I was toung. One of his quirks was that when you were on the phone he'd see no one else in the room and be sure you were talking to him. At which point he'd join the conversation. His mother had been a purebred siamese and he had good lungs. Ad to this my fiance had Sprint and at that time about half our conversations would have an echo effect, some calls were a mess!! That was almost 40 years ago.
Loved both those males so very much. The cat died at 19, and I lost my husband last year.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm happy to hear you've had a life full of love 💕 sending you a big, big hug
Ditto...x
Yeah, same. I'm sorry for your losses, but I'm happy you have those memories. ❤️
Yes, a "forever puppy" dog can be a challenge. We had one growing up, she was violently shaken by a larger dog that got into our yard. Such a good boy!
what a sweet baby. thank you for caring for him x
What a wonderful dog. Brain damage or not... Trooper is a beautiful being... inside and out.
He is so beautiful. And the "forever puppy" made me cry a little, because anybody who has had a puppy misses the "puppy moments" sometimes. Thank God for the people who love this sweet dog.
Like she said his disability doesn't make him less loved thank you Vanessa you are so kind
I don't understand the comment about the eyes. The eyes are gorgeous, such a great soul. I hope theres nothing but happiness in his life
He is the most human looking dog I have ever seen!❤ to clarify, I don’t mean a dog that looks like a human in a dog suit I mean a dog wearing a human suit underneath its eyes at the same time being dumb and dog like🎉☺️ so precious and adorable. It’s the human eyes for me.😍
Trooper is such a sweetheart. He’s patient and trusting and absolutely beautiful. I’m so glad he’s had a loving family to take care of him. 🤍🤍🤍
yes, he deserved no less. A big lovely boy.
Kudos to Trooper’s family for insuring that this magnificent cloud gets to live his best life surrounded by love and care. He was such a good boy for you. I hope we get to see this luxurious cloud again.
Good boy, Trooper!
Hello...?
He certainly doesn’t hate it either 😂🥹
I love when dogs have one ear up and one ear floppy. So cute 🥺
I just cried a river. Thank you for being gentle and kind. Big hug Trooper
I feel like the world has hardened me so much over my 60 years, but Trooper just hit me in the feels. Really made me miss my little JR named Holly. (we got her at Christmas) She wasn't brain-damaged, just retarded. We were a perfect match.
Trooper looked like a supermodel during the slo-mo hair dry! So glad he wasn’t euthanized. For being puppy like, he was very well mannered.
1:58 You made it SNOW 🤍❄😆❄🤍
6:09 AAAWWWWWW THAT LIL HEAD TILT 💕💕💕💕💕
He was posing for the after and honestly best stance and with the tail up and pointed he deserves an instagram I would give him all the treats
He's a sweet boy that deserves all the love in the world.
I would never know this pup was brain damaged at all. His eyes are so sweet and expressive.
That's so sad he was hurt at a younger age. That's why he's a "trooper" so cute, I'm happy someone gave him a chance..❤
what a handsome, well behaved (very hairy) boy!!
He looks totally blissed out in his happy hoodie as Vanessa dries him. It reminds me that even though dogs are domestic they are still animals with unpredictability as in the dog that attacked him at 3 weeks old. Love to him, his people and his lovable groomer.
