You should do a pokemon status tierless with not only the official "burn, freeze, paralyze, sleep, confusion, poison" but also The non-official Or limited time ones, like " Salt cure " or " frostbite "
14:57 fun fact, since it is technically considered an attack you can still use it to heal your allies even when you are taunted, something that no other move on this list can do.
@@patatanavidenya So do heal pulse & floral healing. At least with pollen puff, when it gets redirected it will damage the opponent instead of healing them.
@@bingewatcher4678 if I was including in game effects then Soft Boiled would be top of those moves. I think Milk Drink also had an in game effect but can’t remember?
@@MattBudYTpre-gen VII both milk drink and soft-boiled can be selected outside of battle to transfer 20% of the user’s HP to another party member. Even though your focus was on in-battle, I feel like that can act as a tiebreaker
19:20 Roost also makes pure-flying mons (like Tornadus, Rookidee/Corvisquire, and Moltres/Talonflame/Fletchinder after using burn up) into normal-types, allowing them to occasionally dodge neutral hits from ghost moves, which allows them to heal and avoid all damage just by not having a secondary type.
I once played against a team with revival blessing, they used it to revive their Moltres. The only problem with that is that the Moltres had its boots knocked off...
If Revival Blessing was on Ho-oh it’d be MUCH better. RB should make teams an effective 6.5 or 7 Pokemon. But being on shitmons, you effectively get a 5.5 or 6 Pokemon team.
You should mention that pollen puff also gives you an option to heal allies without fear of taunt, a nice advantage compared to heal pulse and floral healing
tbh i think roost leaving metal birds open to being quaked and punched is enough to make it worse than recover. most common roost mons would probably take recover if they could
Don't forget ingrain also can be boosted with the big root which is another reason its better then aqua ring Edit: just learned big root also buffs aqua ring so that's cool
lol. I built a heal pulse clawitzer to stop all those belly drum spammers from throwing my raids in early gen 9. They kept drumming turn 1 no matter what, using up a sitrus (if they even had that), and immediately dying anyway.
Strength Sap does have a flaw. It increases the attack of Pokemon with Defiant or Contrary, and boosts the special attack of Pokemon with Competitive by two stages. It also makes you lose MASSIVE HP if you use it on a Liquid Ooze Pokemon like Swalot or Tentacruel. At the same time, Pokemon who can't get their attack stat lowered (because of clear amulet, hyper cutter, clear body, etc) means you will ALWAYS heal based on its current attack stat. The fact the move doesn't fail under these circumstances is crazy.
14:52 Pollen Puff is a blessing in Doubles. Focus Sash Ribombee does wonders. Did you know Lurantis also gets the move? Assault Vest mixed Lurantis goes brrrr.
My personal favourite healing move its slack off because, its so disrespect for the pokemon enemy, its like "i don't give a the damage casul", truly the best healing option (btw sorry for my bad english)
Swallow and spit up being so useless is so unfortunate. I recently had the idea to add an ability called accumulation, which would increase a pokemon's stockpile counter each turn, without providing the associated defense boosts. This ability could be given to pokemon such as garbodor or swalot, and would grant them a 300 BP move or a full heal with no drawbacks after just 3 turns
R.I.P. Partner Eevee's Sappy Seed since it technically isn't like draining moves (i.e. Giga Drain + Leech Life) since it applies the Leech Seed effect after doing damage instead of the damage directly being used to heal the user 😔
Kinda surprised you didn't talk more about PP, because that's another big reason weather heals took a big L historically, and is a big win for Wish. Not that I'd change too much about rankings, but I consider it a big factor. Not that Stall is thriving these days, but if Leech Seed got this much love, idk
I would join in your tournaments in the discord, I'm already in it after all, but I'm currently in a draft league and that's been taking a lot of my time
this list seems to be missing offensive healing moves like giga drain, drain punch, present(last place contender) and the like. since pollen puff and strength sap is in the list, i would think them to be here.
Not really unless they are using trick room. They will outspeed otherwise and you will heal them after they attack and prevent them from taking chip damage from status before the orb activates again.
I hate all healing moves because to me they seem kinda random for which pokemon receives it Like there’s no reason why some pokemon should have recover
Ah but this doesn't consider the fact that Soft-boiled had a niche non-competitive use in being a field move from gen 1 all the way until gen 8 that you could use in the overworld 🤔 that should clearly change the ranking and make it #1 /j
Pollen puff too low on list. It is the best on doubles, even considering it is a bug type attack. But I would say it is meant to be a bug-type because it is broken, as u-turn
Big fan of Wish, and Im an even bigger fan of Wish/Ally Switch. Anyway, I just wanted to remind you all that in S/V only the Chimecho and Firigiraf lines have this capability anymore. 🦒🎐 I have run those moves on my giraffe since day 1 and it has never let me down.❤

Thank you. Love your videos

I was thinking "there's something missing".
That was it! Every attacking draining move is skipped.
but that also means it gets redirected by follow me/rage powder 😢
@@maartendekroon267 he explains in the beginning that he wouldn't include them

Celesteela with Leech Seed, Ingrain and Leftovers my beloved

I have a personal grudge against Slack Off. Snorlax should get it. The fact that Snorlax can't use Slack Off hurts me.

Babe wake up MattBud dropped another ranking video
New Mattbud video.. *starts car*
You're a real one for that 😅 I can relate
cracks open beer
Ingrain pretty good in gen 3 on cradily even if you don't baton pass cheese. Also nice sponsor also already played the demo before the video.
You should mention that pollen puff also gives you an option to heal allies without fear of taunt, a nice advantage compared to heal pulse and floral healing
I would like to note that while almost every healing move took a PP hit, wish didn't. It still has 16 uses compared to others' 8.
Milk drink should be #1 due to the psd it gives anyone who fought that miltank. No but genuinely great video
"the pukester" 😭
@@InvaltidWord 🤢🤮
The casualness with which he says "Milk Drink Miltank" confirms for me he never played GSC😅😂
When it comes to Strength Sap most of the mons that get it are specially defensive anyway. Quiver Bellossom anyone?
Strength sap is sooo annoying….love countering it with sap sipper! 😅
Broken move. Hate playing against it and feel like a 🤡 using it.
yeah, I was extremely shocked to learn it was a gen 7 addition. Seems like a broken gen 9 move.

i think it would be cool to rate all moves of each category like slicing, sound, contact and punching, stuff like that
lol. I built a heal pulse clawitzer to stop all those belly drum spammers from throwing my raids in early gen 9. They kept drumming turn 1 no matter what, using up a sitrus (if they even had that), and immediately dying anyway.

It was crazy nostalgic to hear Mewmore music, wow! Great video and great choice in tunes. ^_^
I appreciate the amount of content lately, cheers :)

14:52 Pollen Puff is a blessing in Doubles. Focus Sash Ribombee does wonders. Did you know Lurantis also gets the move? Assault Vest mixed Lurantis goes brrrr.
I now want to make a special variant of strength sap called mental drain, and it would be psychic type.
My personal favourite healing move its slack off because, its so disrespect for the pokemon enemy, its like "i don't give a the damage casul", truly the best healing option
(btw sorry for my bad english)
Great video!
Dusclops also uses pain split because somehow that's it's only reliable form of recovery
Roost has to be my number one, only for when an opponent clicks EQ on corviknight or skarm when you don't roost
Is pain split a healing move or a draining move?
@@SpliffingBrit not effected by liquid ooze so not a draining move

Really cool thing about life dew is it interacts with water absorb.
I clicked on the link since dimensionals is in my wheelhouse, but it's already on my wishlist 😅
15:04 why in the helllll, the horses have pollen puf!?
Techicly, heal order is better than other healing moves since it has the most pp
when (or if) it gets added to gen 9, game freak is most likely reducing its pp
Problem with Heal Order is that the pokemon that has the move can die by tiny rock
