Just not true => NO OT Jew could say => the rest of you try to keep the law => i'll just do my own thing and believe in Jesus and GRACE thru faith. Total BS on your part. It sounds good but they, BY FAITH, had to try to live up to the law and when they fell short => they brought an innocent animal and shed it's blood.....this showed they trusted in GOD's system and HIS WORD.....their actions were rooted in their faith. We gentiles weren't part of those promises and covenants and create/fabricate a story to ALIGN with what we've been told. It was progressive revelation and believing in the light that GOD had given which has changed many times. Of course => belief/faith IN GOD and HIS PLAN ==> is the foundation. NO ONE IS SAVED W/O JESUS D, B & R. But they didn't know that, didn't understand that, simply did get it. Read Matt 16:21-23. So to say => Salvation has always been by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone!!!!! => is just an outright lie.
FAITH/BELIEF in JESUS => D, B & R and GOD's GRACE IS HOW TO BE SAVED IN THIS AGE => IN THIS DISPENSATION ==> as long as you understand it's not your faith that saves you but the FAITH OF JESUS => HIS BLOOD, HIS SACRIFICE, HIM RECONCILING US. It's a free gift to us. We don't earn it by our faith. We certainly don't deserve it. Read Eph 2:8-9.
This will CHANGE again after the RAPTURE OF THE BOC. Then folks will need to stay faithful til the end and not receive the MARK OF THE BEAST.

One day I was reading John chapter 3 and it occurred to me that when Jesus gave that message to tell Nicodemus how to be saved they were still under the OT law since Jesus had not yet been crucified and risen from the dead. How did he tell Nicodemus how to be saved? He used the OT passage in Numbers 21 about the brazen serpent that was lifted up and whoever just looked to the uplifted brass serpent would be spared. (Numbers 21:8,9) That was a picture of Christ taking our sins and being lifted up on the cross and if we by faith just simply look to Him and His sacrifice for our sins we could be saved. (John 3:14-16) How was Nicodemus told he could have eternal life? Jesus simply told him to believe on the "only begotten Son". Jesus was telling a man under the law how to be saved and born again by grace through faith. I totally agree with the video. Salvation by grace through faith is firmly rooted in the Old Testament in numbers of places. When I was lost back in 1977 someone took the Bible and turned to Isaiah 53 and God's Spirit opened the truth to me and deeply convicted me that Christ had died for my sins using that wonderful OT passage. God brought me under deep conviction and I was gloriously saved about 1 week later. Nobody ever has been or ever will be saved except by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The people in the OT probably had no clue what the Messiah would do on the cross, but hoped for a deliverer from their enemies. The people in the OT were saved by grace, but not through faith! Paul says, "But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian" (Gal. 3:23-25). You see they weren't justified by faith prior to Christ. Abraham was a prophetic type of this age of faith and justification.

I'm a bit confused. Were the OT saints saved because of faith God, period? Or is it by faith in the Sacrificial system at that time? or by faith in the Sacrifice to come? He gave all these 3 reasons which I think is not right, but I could be wrong.

Hi Cam, I read what you wrote down. Sorry you are going through this. When I first became a christian I was really upset that I couldn't seem to find a church where there wasn't sin or drama. I idolized the pastors a bit too much and they too failed me more than once. I was pretty frustrated but still had a deep love for God and one day I was reading a book that talked about our calling in the Lord and the purpose for why we were made. It talked about that the things you tend to stress over in the body of Christ; the things that make you weep and frustrate you the most may very well be the purpose God put you on the earth. For me, my biggest complaint at my church was that even though they were great at evangelizing I couldn't see any help in the area of discipleship. I really longed to be discipled and really taught the meat of the word but they just weren't about that at my church. So I took it upon my self to get alone with God and read the word and talk to him and as I learned more about the bible and how uniquely complex it is, I realized that I had a pretty good ability to teach the bible in story form and make it enjoyable for people who didn't know the word very well but found it too boring to read it themselves. I am currently waiting on the Lord in order to pursue my calling to be a pastor who disciples people in the word of God. My frustration with my church turned out to be the reason God put me in that church in the first place. I pray that you can find the purpose the Lord put you on the earth and that you can become what you hoped that pastor who blew you off would have been. stay strong in the Lord and try to become the example of the change you want to see in your church!!

John Piper said that faith in the blood of Jesus isn't enough, Paul Washer said that there is no such thing as a carnal christian, how could recommend those pastors?

In my understanding, i think the Day of Judgement is yet to come , where everyone's faith will be decided. Even the Saints of the Old Testament are waiting for that in their tombs.
And what actually gave them the pass to enter Heaven is the blood of Jesus Christ. That's why they revered the birth of Jesus Christ so much in their prophecies, because he was going to give their souls salvation .
In short , Jesus Christ's blood is sufficient to save the past, present and future generations.

James 2:14-22 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

@UC8aOHWo2W2T-JT1DAN_1YMQ sorry, seems I might be talking over your head. At 2:00 the speaker says the O.T. Saint was saved just like us today, by Grace through faith. Since we are justified (saved) through the Faith of Christ (Gal 2:16) and God says He will justify the uncircumcised through faith (Rom 3:30), the O.T. Saint could not have been saved through the Faith of Christ before Christ demonstrated His faith by submission to the cross.
No one can be at the Throne of God without first being covered by the blood and the blood cannot be spread before it is shed.

Any description of OT salvation must agree with all scripture. Does this man's agree with the passage below?
    I say no.
When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

Answer is too Reformed. Intentionally ignored James 2:24, and its context, the only instance of searching "faith alone" gives a different answer. We are not saved by theology but by faith demonstrated by works. Our righteousness (not theology) should exceed that of the Pharisees, else we cannot enter the kingdom of God. OT and NT salvation is exactly the same, faith shown by the fruit of good works. It would be instructive for us to learn what the pre-Nicene apostolic bishops believed, the people who read Greek (in fact, the LXX mainly), spoke Greek, were taught by the Apostle's and died for what they were taught

Annnnh, Wrong!.......Sounds good though, kinda like his explanation, has substance, just lacks sustenance .....Lets ask a question here, did they not have to have a sacrifice to atone for their sins? The answer would be yes; Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission...There were exceptions however, Abraham happened to be one, which this guy conveniently used, but Abraham was the exception to the rule. Apostle Paul used Abraham to prove faith plus nothing, later in the New Testament, but the norm was, if you had broken a Law, you had to have a sacrifice. An animal sacrifice at that.
Matter of fact, it was the blood of animals, yearly! I know that really urks people, but its true. Not only did you have to sacrifice an animal, but you (personally) had to cut its throat, someone else couldn't do it for you.... (looks like a work to me) then the high priest would take the blood and apply it. If you didn't do this, no remission of sins!
Just like in Egypt, can you imagine you telling your family....I know the death angel is coming, and we're suppose to put the blood over the door post but our "faith alone" will save us. No way! Right? You had better put that blood over the door post. (another work, btw) faith and God's grace was needed but faith alone only came through apostle Paul's dispensation of grace, after Jesus had applied the blood once and for all.(Jesus' work on the cross)...get it?...New Testament (Paul's epistle) Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Want to make that clear, even though there was Grace and faith involved in the Old Testament, it was never faith alone, that only came after Jesus' completed works on the cross, and the delivery of the mystery to Apostle Paul, not the early apostles, they didn't get it, they were still going to the temple and keeping the Law, this mystery that was given to Paul, which included Jew and Gentile joint heirs, and the dispensation of Grace, which equals Grace through faith plus nothing was ALL NEW, not in the Old Testament except for exceptions.
Then Paul comes along with his new revelation and says: Ephesians 2:8 for by Grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Did you get that? It's a gift, not by works, otherwise you could stand before God and say, Yeah, I know Jesus saved me, but I kept myself after that......God said they'll be none of that, (boasting) it's all about what Jesus done for us! His completed works, not ours....don't get me wrong, we're saved unto good works, (meaning we should be doing them after we're saved) just not saved by good works.
Point being to all this, its never been the same through the bible....it use to take the blood of animals, till Jesus gave His blood, it use to be done yearly, till Jesus done it once and for all, it use to take works by an individual, till Jesus' completed works, where he said it is finished....All we gotta do is believe it in our hearts and confess it with our mouth.
I know, I know everybody wants to say its been the same from the beginning of time because "God never changes" how that is true, the part about God never changing that is, it's never been the same from the beginning pertaining to salvation. You see, they take verses and apply it to other situations (outta context, if you will) God doesn't change, but how He dealt with man did! God gave revelations to Paul that had been hid, only to be revealed in the New Testament. Grace through faith plus nothing.
God made it that simple for us by way of a gift!
And What a wonderful gift it was! Jesus did that for the whole world, (Atoned for your sins) the price has been paid, you just got to accept the gift. People are dying and going to hell today with their sins paid for. Why? Because of unbelief! Not believing and trusting, having faith that Jesus did that for them. Unbelief, same thing the Jews were guilty for.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Why don't you trust in Jesus' completed works..."The Gospel" the death, burial and resurrection ….That's what you must believe to be saved. Its not a "sinners prayer" that you hear these preachers talk about, its not "Jesus come into my heart". That's not even in the Bible. Its about believing the Gospel that Apostle Paul preached, which can only be found in His writings. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4...….That's where Paul "declares" what the Gospel is. Most people today cant tell you what the Gospel is, much less where it can be found. If you don't know Jesus, I pray you believe in your heart "the Gospel" before its too late, the only true way to be saved today!...…..God Bless! All glory to God!

If God is omniscient (ALL knowing), then he had to KNOW that with free will evil would emerge. How is that different from creating evil? God created all the conditions in which evil could emerge but, 'Uh, Oh,!' It' s the creatures' fault that it actually happened, not his. What an irresponsible God!

    • @enterthebruce91
      @enterthebruce91 3 роки тому +1

@@dananicolay5530 God is not irresponsible (He is indeed Omniscient, as well as Omnipotent and Omnipresent), however because God created man with the agency of free will, man freely chose to disobey in the garden, and therefore must now reap the necessary consequence of sin and death coming into the world (the wages of sin is death- Romans 6:23 KJV). God does not want us to mindlessly worship Him like robots, as non volitional worship is in fact not worship at all. We are responsible for our actions and the consequences of them, be it good or bad. Therefore God's foreknowledge of knowing evil would come into the world through man's sin (and actually sin in the angelic domain before the fall of man) does not equate with God either creating evil or being responsible for it, as God is Holy and separate from sin. God, in His foreknowledge provided the covering for Adam and Eve in the form of coats of skins in Genesis 3, and Jesus is called the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. To clarify, foreknowledge of something (sin, evil and the consequences thereof), does not equal the causation of it. This is in fact what Calvinist teach about God (making Him the author of sin). They are patently wrong, as is anybody else who either inadvertently or intentionally makes God the author of sin or views Him as some kind of maniacal puppet master. That is not who God is.

    • @dananicolay5530
      @dananicolay5530 3 роки тому

@@enterthebruce91 God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, but is egotistical enough to need worship that is volitional, so 'He' knowingly made humans capable of evil so they would through their own free will stroke 'His' ego through such volitional worship. This is so even though in his omniscient position beyond Time and Space he knew that there would be many, many, many people, in fact almost all people, who would be irresponsible and do evil. In fact, from the book of Job we know that God wagered with Satan about the ability of humans to remain virtuous despite Satan's curses. It makes no sense at all to say that God knows everything, created everything and is present in everything except evil.
Even defining evil is problematic and situation specific. I define the actions of the insurrectionists of January 6, 2021 as evil. Many 'Evangelical Christians' declare that they were Patriots not insurrectionists. Clearly, my Christian perspective requires that I 'Judge not' and that I 'remove the log from my own eye first.' Nonetheless, for the sake of this discussion, I see the definition of evil to be situational and specific to individual perspective.
The universally objective mind of God may not be judged by me to be either good or evil. My perspective is limited. The perspective of the divine source of all creation is without limit. That does not allow for the removal of the creator's responsibility for the existence of evil on the individual level. God knew what he was doing in creating time, space and life forms. God knew that evil would exist. Evil is in fact essential to the creation of the meaningful narrative that God intends. The source of all is the source of all.

*Ask for salvation now remember God does not send anyone to hell you do that yourself by not asking for salvation. Jesus died on the cross he took the sins of everyone, but if you don't ask for salvation then you have to pay the price for your sins and that means hell and hell is only a waiting place for the day of judgment and when you are in front of the white throne on the day of judgment you will go to the lake of fire and it's far worse than what hell can give you 1000's of times worse.*
*Believe that Jesus is the son of God that God sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins, that he rose the third day and ascended into heaven. Know that you are a sinner. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans Chapter 3 Verse 23).*
*Ask with your heart speak with your lips do this in private*
*Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have*
*separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away*
*from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me*
    *avoid sinning again.*
*I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected*
*from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become*
*the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day*
    *forward.*
*Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will*
*for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.*
*Many will call themselves a Christian but have never asked for salvation so are not born again*
    *Matthew Chapter 24 Verse 11 - 13*
*11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.*
*12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.*
*13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.*

If you can read you can. God's word in the Bible is his divine revelation to man. Yes, there are parts of it I still don't quite understand and I don't think anyone on earth totally understands all of it, but most of it is QUITE CLEAR and it doesn't require a genius level IQ to understand it either. If you truly want to know the truth God WILL show it to you. If you reject the truth God shows you and turn away from it He may at some point stop dealing with you. There is PLENTY in the Bible about the true God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and everything in it. When Jesus Christ talked to the religious people in the gospels He was several times astonished I think by their ignorance. What did He ask them? It was VERY, VERY SIMPLE. He said, "Have you not read". Meaning that they were ignorant of what God had clearly revealed in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ was God Himself in human form who came by way of a miraculous virgin birth. He lived a perfect, sinless life and died on the cross of Calvary as the complete payment for the sins of all mankind. We are saved from eternal damnation by placing our complete trust in His sacrifice for our sins and His bodily resurrection from the dead. If you truly turn your heart to God and want to know the truth He WILL show you. "Have ye not read?" bible.timelesstruths.org/%22Have%20ye%20not%20read%22

I agree we today are saved by:
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8 - KJV
When the above takes place we are 1. placed in Christ, 2. Indwelt by the Holy Spirit, 3. Spiritually circumcised which is the cutting apart of the body and soul then the Holy Spirit daily washes our soul in the blood of Christ so the sins of the flesh cannot stain our soul.
Before one can doctrinally apply Eph 2:8 to O.T. Saints one must show the scriptures proving the 3 things above happened to the O.T. Saint.
The blood of Christ cannot be spread before it was shed.

This is confusion. What exactly did they have to have faith in? The majority knew nothing of the God of Abraham, or the laws of Moses, or the promise made to Adam and Eve. The only answer is God will give everyone opportunity to accept Jesus in the afterlife, which is why we read in 1 Peter 4:6 that the gospel was preached to those who were dead, so they could be saved. There is no other way, and they never heard of Jesus so they had to hear the same gospel that we hear, there is only one Good News, Jesus saves us all!

So Old Testament prophets were saved by Grace directly from God but then that is suddenly not enough so Jesus has to come and die for a crime he didn't commit to make God whole again? If God had Grace in OT towards people, why did He suddenly not keep the Grace going? Christian Salvation is nonsensical to me.

So Hebrews 10:1-4 means nothing ; which says that the blood of bulls and goats could not take away sin . If you are allow to do what you want , why did God flood the world at the time of Noah , destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah , judged Egypt , scattered the apple of his eye ( children of Israel ) to the four corners of the earth , and will cast you into the lake of fire ; if you can do what you want to ? This guy sound like a used car saleman . In Romans 4 , to be justified means that you come under a sin sacrifice for atonement . The reason you come under a sin sacrifice for atonement , is because you have transgressed the laws of God . The two sin sacrifies for atonement were : 1. The law of animal sacrifice through works , and 2. The blood of Christ through faith . Abraham never went through the law of animal sacrifice ; which came through the mediator Moses ; because the children of Israel were transgressing the laws of God , and not repenting by faith . The Gentiles like Abraham , never went under the priesthood of Leviticus , or the law of animal sacrifice . Shalom !

I was with you 100 % until “ The gentiles like Abraham, never went under the priesthood of Leviticus or the law of animal sacrifice”. I wish Christianity would do a better job on understanding this. The children of Israel were of a “mixed multitude”. Mixed meaning (12 tribe relationship + strangers that sojourned with them). The term “goy/im “ (gentiles) is mentioned for the first time in Gen. 10. The term “Jew” was first mentioned in Jeremiah. At the time of the Exodus, there were only the 12 tribes and others. My friend, you and I have dna from either the 12 tribes or others. Gods law (Torah)are still today for EVERYONE. Yes, we needed a redeemer. Jesus was that perfect sacrifice for sin. Just because we now have a perfect sacrifice doesn’t mean that a temple is worthless. Jesus didn’t have the temple swallowed up in an earthquake. It stood for 40 MORE YEARS until man tore it down. We now have a new High Priest as they were corrupt at the time of Jesus. However, there are other reasons for sacrifices. Shalom!

Circumcision means to remove something .
Biblical circumcision means to make clean .
The circumcisions for the cleaning of sin when through the two mediators of the covenant of the Father & the children of Israel .
The circumcision of the heart is a sin sacrifice of atonement through faith , through the mediator Jesus Christ ; which is repenting of your sins , then believing by obedience ; which is keeping your mediator Jesus Christ commandments ; which he received from the Father .
People forget that there was also a sin sacrifice of atonement through works , for the flesh/body ; which the God of Israel gave through the mediator Moses ; which was called the law of animal sacrifice and oblations . Moses , like Jesus was the mediator/husband/protector/covering , for the one's under the covenant between the Father .
There are three type of circumcisions talked about in the bible :
      1. The circumcision of the flesh of foreskin through the covenant made with Abraham .
      2. The circumcision of flesh/body for SIN , through WORKS , blood OF THE ANIMALS AND OBLATIONS , under the mediator Moses ; Which means that when you transgress against the laws of the Father , you go through the book of the law , or the Leviticus priesthood . First you bring what animal is required for you to bring to the priest ; then you and the priest offer this animal to the God of Israel for a sacrifice , then the animal is killed , then the blood is drained , then the priest take the blood and put it 7 times on the vail of the tabernacle , then on the altar of inscense , then you offer what offering or oblation is required . THIS IS WORK , NOT FAITH ,and God requires FAITH , not WORKS , to be justified of the HEART/SPIRIT . The flesh/body is only for yourearthly body .
      3. The circumcision of the heart/spirit for SIN , through FAITH , blood OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH FAITH under the mediator Jesus Christ ; Which means that when you transgress against thre laws of the Father , you repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart ( mind ) like king David did ( Psalms 32 & 51 ) , then believe by obedience ; which is to start keping the commandments of your mediator Jesus Christ ; which he received from the Father . THIS IS FAITH , NOT WORKS , THIS JUSTIFY OF THE SINS OF THE HEART/SPIRIT ; WHICH IS REQUIRED TO BE JUSTIFIED BY THE FATHER FOR YOUR EARTHLY & HEAVENLY BODIES .
( 1 JOHN 1:4-7 , " 5.This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin " )
The mediators ( Moses and Jesus ) gave the laws of the Father , but when the people transgressed these laws , the atonement came through a sin sacrifice through the mediators , under a priesthood ( Leviticus = MOSES or Melchisedec = JESUS CHRIST ) .
In Acts 15:1 , The brethren said that unless you are circumcised as of the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved . What does save mean ? To be saved requires to be forgiven , justified , atoned from your past sins , and to endure until the end of your life , or until the return of the Messiah Jesus Christ ; which comes through a sin sacrifice of atonement , under a priesthood . The sin sacrifice of atonement through the mediator Moses , was the law of animal sacrifice , or the circumcision of flesh/body for sin .
In John 7:19 , Jesus stated that Moses gave the children of Israel the law ; which is the ten commandments , statutes , judgments , and all covenants ; which he received from the God of Israel ; but the Israelites did not believe or keep the law of the Father .
So in John 7:22 , Moses through the God of Israel , gave the fathers ( children of Israel ) circumcision , because the fathers ( children of Israel ) were sinning against the law of the Father , without repenting like king David did . This law of circumcision was to clean the flesh/body , to keep God from killing it ; it was of works , not faith ; which could not free you of the sins of the heart/spirit ; which is required to become a Son of God ; this circumcision is calledthe law of animal sacrifice & oblations .
Remember , Moses was a prophet like until Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:1-2 , " Moreover brethren , I would not that ye should be ignorant , how that all our fathers were under the cloud , and all passed through the sea ; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea " ) .
In Romans 4:1-17 , " 1.What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,7Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.8Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.9Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.10How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:12And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were " .

ROMANS 4:1-17 EXPLAINED : What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh ( circumcision of flesh/body for SIN , or the law of animal sacrifice ) , hath found?
2For if Abraham were justified ( justified means to be atoned , forgiven , or redeemed from SIN ) by works ( law of animal sacrifice ) , he hath whereof to glory; but not before God (but before the priests of Leviticus ) .
3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God ( obeyed God ) , and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4Now to him that worketh ( law of animal sacrifice ) is the reward not reckoned of grace ( blood of Christ by obedience ) , but of debt ( indebted to the Leviticus priests ) .
5But to him that worketh ( not go through the law of animal sacrifice ) not, but believeth ( obey ) on him that justifieth ( forgive ) the ungodly, his faith ( Romans 10:17 , " 17.So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God " ) is counted for righteousness .
6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works ( law of animal sacrifice ) ,
7Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities ( sins ) are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin ( The apostle Paul explains this ( Romans 5:13-14 , " For until the law sin was in the world : but sin is not imputed when there is no law . Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses , even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression , who is the figure of him that was to come " ) . What is sin ? Answer , the transgression of the law of God ( 1 John3:4 ) . Paul stated that until the law ( what law ? ) , sin ; which is the transgression of the law of God was in the world ( sin came into the world when Adam transgressed against the law of God ) , but sin ; which is the transgression of the law of God is not imputed ( represents something undersirable as been done , caused , or possesed by someone ) when there is no law . This law is not the commandments/instructions of God ; which includes all the covenants , but a sin sacrifice law that came at the time of Moses ; the law of animal sacrifice of works ; which was not of faith ( Romans 3:27-28 , " 27.Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law " ) .
9Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision ( children of Israel , under the law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh/body for sin ) only, or upon the uncircumcision ( Gentiles , not under the law f animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh/body for sin ) also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision ( law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh/body for sin ), or in uncircumcision ( not under the law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh/body for sin ) ? Not in circumcision ( law of animal sacrifice ) , but in uncircumcision ( not under the law of sacrifice ) .
11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised ( circumcision of flesh/body for sin ) : that he might be the father of all them ( Gentiles ) that believe ( obey God ) , though they be not circumcised ( Gentiles not circumcision of flesh/body for sin , or law of animal sacrifice ) ; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12And the father of circumcision ( Israelites under the law of animal sacrifice & oblations ) to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law ( law of animal sacrifice of works ) , but through the righteousness of faith ( repenting of your sins , then believing by obedience ; which is keeping the commandments of your mediator Jesus Christ ; which he received from the Father ) .
14For if they which are of the law ( law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh/body for sin ) be heirs, faith ( repentance and believing ) is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15Because the law ( law of animal sacrifice & works ) worketh wrath: for where no law is ( The apostle Paul explains this ( Romans 5:13-14 , " For until the law sin was in the world : but sin is not imputed when there is no law . By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law " ) , there is no transgression .
16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

I hope this helps ? Remember what PETER said about some of Paul's writings and other scriptures .
2 PETER 3:15-16 , " 15.And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction "
The word Strangers , Gentiles , heathens ; are names the God of Israel give to the ones not under the covenant , that he made with the children of Israel at Mount Sinai .
The word Jew is short for Judah , the fourth son of Jacob ; the line of the kings in the southern kingdom , after the nation was split into two kingdoms , after the death of Solomon . Three tribes made up the southern kingdom ( LEVI , BENJAMIN , AND JUDAH ) .
The Gentiles were required to be circumcised of the foreskin , if they were to take part in the passover , but they did not go through the law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of the flesh/body for sin , or the law of animal sacrifice , nor did Abraham .
A stranger is one not under the covenant of the Father ; but God is no respecter of person ; anyone that fear him , and worketh righteousness , is accepted and grafted into the covenant , but they are not under his laws , but have to keep his laws to get salvation .
Exodus 12:49 , " 49.One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you " .
Romans 2:11-15 , " 11.For there is no respect of persons with God.
      12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
This was the debate in ACTS 15 ; NOT THE CIRCUMCISION OF FORESKIN , BUT THE CIRCUMCISION OF FLESH/BODY , OR THE LAW OF ANIMAL SACRIFIEC, OR THE LAW OF MOSES . THE ISRAELITES CONTINUED IN THE ANIMAL SACRIFICE , NOT FOR SIN , BUT FOR THE CLEANING OF THE FLESH , WHEN IT BECOME UNCLEAN BY TOUCHING A DEAD BODY , WOMAN ON HER MONTHLY , ETC ... . . NOW GO BACK IN READ ROMANS 2:25-29 , 1 CORINTHIANS 17-24 , ACTS 21:21-25 , GALATION 2:1-4 , GALATIANS 2:11-16,21 , ETC... ; AND YOU WILL START TO UNDERSTAND WHAT PAUL WAS SAYING IN 2 THESSALONIANS 2:1-3 .
WORDS LIKE CIRCUMCISION , LAW , FLESH , SPIRIT , WORKS , COMMANDMENTS, STRANGERS , ETC... MEANS SOMETHING DIFFERENT , BASED TO THE CONTEXT IN WHICH IT MAY BE USED .

@@messengerisrael3817 5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed saying, THAT IT WAS NEEDFUL TO CIRCUMCISE THEM, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. It IS about circumcision of the flesh! James sums up in Act 15:21 that after you do these 4 basic things then you can attend synagogue and start learning the law of Moses. Sir, you are 180 degrees out of phase on some of your doctrine concerning the gentiles. Exodus 12:49 and Leviticus 24:22 indicate likewise to your assumption. To say that the gentiles only have to keep those 4 laws is not only wrong, but insane. These gentiles that were coming into the faith were blood drinking, fornicating, sun worshipping bunch. Saved thru faith in what? Abraham was credited righteousness due to his faith in GOD, not Jesus atonement. Old Testament people didn't know about GOD. They were forced to kill animals as sacrifices which didn't save them. It only lessened the punishment in God. THere were works required in the OT + FAITH. Not just faith. Noah was saved because his works & Faith, he was told to build the boat and he did. James 2:24. "So that no man can boast" is later when faith in Jesus was enacted
