    Thank you for all your content. I didn't grow up playing baseball (soccer guy). Both my young boys are playing baseball and your videos have been a great resource. I'm going to try to teach this to my seven year old this swing. I have to learn it first but that is my duty as a Dad. Keep the great content coming.

      What most guys like Bonds don’t understand is that it’s just a different mindset… Bonds and Teachermann are both correct. Barry thinks about swinging down to the ball and I do too but we think about our hands getting to the ball and not the actual bat. I don’t even think about the bat at all, as if it were invisible… Teachermann’s way of hitting, he thinks about what the bat is actually doing, it’s just 2 different mindsets of hitting but both are doing the same thing and are both are correct…

    It’s the same drill tony Gwynn did, and it’s not used to let the ball travel, it’s used to teach barrel control. That’s why if u watch the rest of yelichs video, bonds didn’t want line drives, he wanted it straight down.

    No he isn’t some guru, he’s just a tubby old man who never made it on the field. He spits dumb hot takes opposite of traditional hitting to sound “unique” and that “he has the key to hitting”. No he doesn’t. Kids don’t understand this type of feedback. Imagine a 12-year old trying to implement professional instruction…….yellich has put 2-3 million quality swings on the ball in the past 2 decades. A kid before high school has maybe put 1000 quality swings on the ball. The difference in understanding is so significant……a kid will never truly understand this crap. Hell, I’m a 3-time all American college hitter and I barely understand what he’s attempting to say. He doesn’t go into any detail with his claims and short hitting clips……just stuff like “dip the crap out of the barrel but hit the ball on the ground”. Like wtf is this dude saying? Ask a reputable hitting coach that works with kids nonstop and gets kids drafted and signed to college….about this philosophy and you’re going to get a lot of laughing and confused looks from pre-teens trying to make sense of this trash. It may work for judge……but if you watch judges swing, it doesn’t look ANYTHING like this guys swing or his drills. He is the alex jones of hitting instruction……wild tips and tricks and explanations of otherwise simple things like SWINGING LEVEL. You literally never hear this guy talk about a level path or trying to cut the baseball in half. He’s a snake-oil salesman that says the opposite of every other hitting coach that knows their stuff. Show me a video of this guy facing 90mph and I’ll show you a fat old man who can’t hit.

    I got a serious ass question.
    How the hell do you teach this to kids when kid's umpires have a strike zone that goes over their head. My 9 year old struck out like 8-9 times last season, aslo he was the only 9 yr old in the majors in a league full of 11 an 12 yr olds so the kids can pitch unlike the little kid league where kids cant find the strike zone to save their lives..anyway he was striking out on pitches that were at or above his shoulders. I always told him it's fine cuz I'm not trying to teach him to swing at that garbage cuz that's a habit u can't break. But when 50-60% of the pitches are that high what do u do? The technique I've always taught him and his 13yr old brother is the dowel in the elbows and it seems to be doing fine but I believe the bat snap is far superior. Both my boys coaches never know shit, they think they do but they don't, trying to teach them some garbage ass way of hitting, untill I say something to them like hey why don't you let them hit how they know how then critique ahh it's frustrating but any input would greatly be appreciated thanks

    • @chupapimonanyo3607
      @chupapimonanyo3607 Рік тому

      If it is a high ball, you won’t use this swing. This swing is for torso area and inside pitch. If you want to hit high, you have to have as flat of a swing that you can have. Same thing with outside pitch. No bat thing that he was doing and not a flat swing like high, wait on the outside and do a Mike Trout kind of swing

    • @gns4838
      @gns4838 Рік тому +1

      This is not for kids

    • @gns4838
      @gns4838 Рік тому

      @sea12hawks the problem is twofold. You are keeping track of a kids strike outs and remember unless those coaches are former college or pro guys they are just dads who used to play or trying to be out there with their boys. If you want to teach your son something buy a hitting tee and extend it all the way up. Strikes over the letters seems to be an exaggeration. I know it does happen but not that often. Teach your boy that he has to adjust to the umpires zone. That should not be the case but it’s unfortunate and lastly teach him that umpires are stupid. That way he will never get mad or upset. Do not take the fun out of the game for kids.
