    How are you getting on plane early and staying on plane if you swinging down? . And I don’t see neither Bonds or Alex hitting down on the ball in the game swing videos !!!. This is totally the opposite of what Ted Williams says in his book The (science of hitting) Barrel below the hands when one gets in contact with the ball.
    There’s more to this and I’ll love to hear what both of them have to say and other people hear about what I said.
    Ans Bonds is my all time Favorite player ever I agree with his swing ,but I would need more probe to support what he thinks he was doing with his swing mechanic when he was playing .

    • @jeremyblascoe8711
      @jeremyblascoe8711 4 роки тому

      He just told you he swung down and clipped the ball. Did you watch the video? All coaches today are teaching is how to be a selfish non team player. Who cares if you strike out, swing for the moon...Barry Bonds hit more homers than he struke out. Think about that, name any hitters today that do that. And I love the shot he took at Bryce Harper, if I could strike out 200 times and hit 30 homers and make $300 million I'd do it too. Priceless

    Whenever I watch a game from a different era like the 80's, the early 90's, u see a significant difference in the game, the hitters, their approach at the plate. Significantly more balls in play, and hitting in all directions back then vs now. More action on the bases, it was a more exciting brand of ball personally.

      I feel worst for Barry. He only used 2-4 years of his entire career. And get this. Steroids weren’t even banned from the game and everyone else was using them too. No one talks about this. Only because Bonds did so well, it was all cheating. No, Bonds only started using because everybody else was. Dude had 40 hr and 40 stolen bases in 98 and no one cared. Barry definitely got screwed way harder then everyone else. And Dusty Baker took his only WS ring away from him on top of it all. The only reason people say Bonds cheated was because the FBI conducted an illegal investigation that was actually thrown out by a judge. But before it was thrown out they said Bonds lied(with no proof). That’s why Bonds was lynched by baseball. MLB never investigated Bonds. Especially because steroids weren’t illegal in MLB until later 2000’s after FBI went on a morality parade with millions of tax dollars they could have used to feed homeless people or who even knows. Now they just fixed the balls to make the game more exciting. The whole system is a joke and Bonds and other steroid era players got the shit end of the stick. They have made roids banned forever ago and not let players use them and even promote the use through glorifying Conseco and Big Mac during 98. Then when a black player breaks records the baseball racists/purest hate it. Hank used meth. They hated when he broke the record too. Hank certainly wasn’t clean when playing ball. He used greenies his entire career. That’s a lot worse then Bonds using a few years of his career imo and it’s even close.

      I totally agree with you on getting on plane early and staying on plane as long as possible. And I don’t see neither Bonds or Alex hitting down in the ball in their swing videos !!!. This is totally the opposite of what Tim Williams says in his book The (science of hitting) Barrel below the hands when one gets in contact with the ball.
      There’s more to this and I’ll love to hear what both of them have to say and other people hear about what I said.
      Ans Bonds is my all time Favorite player ever I agree with his swing ,but I would need more probe to support what he thinks he was doing with swing mechanic when he was playing .

      TheSpeedingLazer true bc when they swing down to the ball they have a natural lift that will automatically give them that lift so technically if they’re thinking down through the ball it will work every time bc they will still have the natural lift through the ball instead of having to try to create that lift and being super long and getting around the baseball instead of through it

Was ranked 18th in the nation toughest to strike out in all of D1 baseball in the nation. I got to play 4 more years at the semi pro baseball where Batted low 400 each season.. then I quit baseball because I got a real job … 😢… I can’t stand the new technic and launch angle it is ruining the game of Baseball. When you swing "down" at a base ball it causes you to keep the barrel of the bat in the strike zone longer. Launch angle isn't created by the batter it's created by a good swing and the ball off the bat is the launch angle. Keep trying that ferris wheel bs and the good pitchers are going to keep giving you the high cheese. But what the hell do I know about basebole 🤷

  • @macgruber21

    Put up a video of modern day sluggers and compare it to both of your swings. Neither of you swing the way you’re describing, and the modern day batters don’t make a move anywhere close to what a-rod is claiming they do. That was like a bizarre golf swing. Bonds turned the barrel back and got palm up faster than anyone. While he may have practiced hitting down on the ball, in a game that was not his swing path (and neither was it A-rod’s).

      @@danielhoward4566That’s the whole point. Of course the knob and hands start working down. But then they quickly work up and through the zone. Anyone can watch a slow motion swing of either guy and trace the path of the knob and barrel. Both of them get the barrel behind the ball early and work slightly up through the zone. They may have needed the “swing down” thought to stay quick to the ball, but that’s not their path when they are at the plate. And it’s not the path of any great hitter.

    • @danielhoward4566
      @danielhoward4566 3 місяці тому

      @@macgruber21 Yes, especially with Arod, he needed the "swing down" thought to the ball and that is why his hands do that. You can't feel what the barrel is doing. I saw a Mexican video yesterday where Arod was in the cage, and he was actually swinging down at the ball and getting backspin and hitting line drives. In other cage videos he is swinging up. If you go watch Olerud where he hit for the cycle with the Mariners, I believe he was swinging down at the ball and getting backspin.

    • @CamDean
      @CamDean 5 років тому

      Dogpisswilly I agree. It seems that they get that feeling of that front shoulder going down and staying on the ball as the swing. The hands go back and turn the barrel into the ball on a slightly up plane. At that point it’s about shoulder direction and how much tilt you have how many degrees you swing up. Go look at Tewks breakdown of Bonds

      I was looking for this comment lol Ive watched Barry’s swing thousands of times since I was a kid. I am just astonished at how much of a difference there is between his actual swing, and his interpretation (feeling) of his swing. Especially in regards to weight shift, his weight stayed back until launch, it never shifted to the front side which is easy to see on video, that’s why he was never fooled on anything off speed, nobody could get in on his front foot, he stayed back over that back leg extremely well. Then of course his swing plane as he describes it is nothing like the footage, his swing is clearly a Farris wheel rather than a marry go round path, very interesting.
