I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. BUT you cannot purchase SafetyWing WHILE in Canada or USA. You can only purchase once already abroad. Hey Mondo is more expensive but offers a higher level of coverage including plans that have trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Hey Mondo would be the better insurance to use if you need travel medical insurance when applying for a visa. Both companies cover covid. I spent 17 years living and working in various countries in East and Southeast Asia. Most of the time was spent in Ha Noi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Saigon. I retired and moved back to the states in 1988 to be near the grands. I hope to be back in Vietnam at least one last time before I kick the can.
I have been in Vietnam for 21 days February 2017 on my Asian trip for 3 months. I loved it. I went to alot of different places there

Tyranny, starvation, death from exposure or marauding armies are always just a stone's throw away. Civilization and peace are precious and easily lost things.

The day started with a less than exuberant Alina as the trials and tribulations of world were weighing a little more heavily her than usual. Funny how not having internet access now makes life more difficult, because so much of the world has little to no physical presence. Travel well, travel is almost always a joy, it was stressful at the best of times. Now it's worse, but if you get where you're going more or less on time it's a bonus. An upbeat Alina arrived in Vietnam in the early morning and her mood is lighter and she's ready for adventure. We know there will be more hiccups, but Ho Chi Min seems to sooth the weary traveler until Gordon touches down.

Canada has such a long and historic presence of Ukrainian people. Even here in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia we have had a long time Ukrainian community and we have recently welcomed new families from Ukraine. And yes, focussing on your travel is the right thing to do.

It's ironic that Harriet and I had a similar flight from Manila to Ho Chi Minh City arriving in the wee hours of the morning. We all have those up and downs in our lives. We manage to get through those rough times. Sometimes you have to slow down and take a breath. Harriet and I continue to work as volunteers at a local relief effort for the Ukrainian People. Hi Alina, as a Filipino I always look at things eith a silver lining. Admitredly having.no wifi is a bane, for most vloggers, but not having wifi is a good reminder that for Palawan specifically, it sorts of protects it from extrene tourusm or over-population, being that it is the Philippines last frontier. I just use my regular phone with the local sim cards and I take out money from my debit card. Overall very straight forward and easy.
I don't get wifi when I am in the mountains or near the Arctic or far out in the Nevada desert... it's normal.

Alinachka I’m totally agree with you on your decision on politics topic on your channel. I’m Ukrainian (Odessa) born Canadian who lived in Toronto most of my adult life (30 years) and I’m so angry to say the list on a daily and I’m so much consumed by the news from Ukraine that I know we need to separate our selfs from that just even for a bit to stay sane.
