- This is a video I made to help. Those who are looking at buying a 7 seater SUV. At the moment, it is difficult to make these decisions with the limited amount of inventory. But I hope that this helps you guys decide on what is best for you and your family.
Good job, Went from a 2008 Highlander Limited to a used Highlander 2020 Platinum, with under 10,000 miles. V6 Engine, I enjoy this SUV, and feel blessed each time I see it or drive it. Financing it through a credit union of 5.85 interest for 6 years. Bought June 8th, 2023. Thanks for sharing. God bless
Beautiful SUV. Congrats on the purchase. Safe driving for you and the family. Salute.
Maaaan if you could move that seat with the forward facing car seat forward to show how much of an opening there is to access the back without removing the car seat, that would be awesome! Nobody out there has shown that yet 🙌
Nice thorough tour of the GH
Thanks for the review. I went with the regular Grand Highlander hybrid limited trim and I do not regret it at all. The ride is so nice. Enjoy your new baby!
I can imagine it's awesome, if this engine is quite and super smooth, I bet the hybrid is even better.
@chichaclutch14 Yup! I have the hybrid GH and it's super quiet and smooth.
Hi both, did you pay mark up for Hybrid limited? How much it costs?
@gopiprasad9043 I did not. I was patient enough to wait and searched for dealers who were willing to sell at MSRP. I actually ended up buying out of state but it was like 50 miles away. I remember telling them I will not pay a dime above the MSRP and some had called me back but it was too late.
My advise is to keep searching for dealers who are willing to sell without Mark-ups unless you're willing to couple of thousands more.
@@yawk1683 thank you for your reply. Much appreciated! Dealer in New Jersey not asking for mark up directly but indirectly by adding “Diamond coat paint protection “ for 2K under accessories section as mandatory.
Do you have any references for dealers without mark ups either in New Jersey or North Carolina?
I know the salesman at a dealer here in Colorado and he sold me a limited gas only model. I was on the list for the HybridMAX engine but he called me and sold me the Limited at their invoice price because I'm good friends with his fam! I jumped on it because he knocked off about 6k from the sticker price! I LOVE my GH!!!
It pays to have good friends 🧡 congratulations 🎊 on your GH!
@chichaclutch14 Thanks dude, it sure does and the gas only model is pretty zippy for only having 265hp lol. Congrats on yours too, Toyota did an amazing job with this model!
Congratulations!!!!
It’s very nice
Thank you for the information it’s really helpful I appreciate your input once again congratulations on your new grand highlander
Great price, about what I paid .... 64k HERE in Cali..... 6000 of that was all taxes, I paid cash but finced 16k @ 4.2% that really cemented the deal for me as I was NOT going to fiance another 6 k on a MAX. Used car salesman DONT like hybrids. GREAT advice on the Car MAX thing
That is a great financial decision. If and when it's possible, pay off the most, finance very little. Interest rates are killing the American middle class. Banks are repo-ing cars that are 20k plus in the red just because of the interest rate they received by a dealer. My mind is blown on how these banks allowed it in the first place.
You made the right choice I think this is the perfect 3 row SUV for family the thing on the windshield that gives info is called heads of display
Yes! Head display, thank you. 😊
@@chichaclutch14 you’re welcome
Head up display.
@@-kt6dq is heads up display ok thank you
i need that suv for myself very practical and good looks
I bought an GH XLE last week. The dealer gave me a $1,000 off msrp plus 4 yr maintenance. There was no dealer mark up or add on “options”. The GH was being delivered so I had to wait a week but I was ok with it. May be the inventory situation is getting a little bit better.. I paid in cash too.
That is good to hear, people actually getting deals and buying fairly. Congratulations on your new GH
Thanks for the great review ! We ordered the GH Limited with the 2.5 hybrid April 2023. No indication as to when it will arrive. In my area the 2.5s are coming in very slow (possibly not at all?).
This October we have been waiting for 18 months for our second Sienna Hybrid. Ouch Toyota !
At the moment its seems like most manufacturers are taking at LEAST 6 months to deliver. But 18 months? You could have had 2 more children by then and needed a Ford 12 seater Transit. Yikes! But hope your able to get what you need at the best price possible, but patience will be key!
Very easy to get them in my area. Just got a hybrid max, took about 30 days.
Colorado is getting them fast minus the HybridMAX, those are taking long everywhere! I got my Limited Gas model 2 months after the office release day!
Car looks good. The back seats slide back to give the kids more leg room so they don’t scuff the back of the front seats
Great info ❤
so smoooth agreee
Nice vehicle congrats! Does the back seats have car seat anchor points on all the third row seats? On the wait list for the exact same one can’t wait!
I had a 2017 Lexus RX 450h, low miles, excellent condition. Was surprised at how low Carmax offered around 25k, ended up selling to Honda dealer for 34k. But it was during the time with low inventory and of course hybrids are still hot these days.
can you please tell me how can I turn on illuminating day time running light
I test drove the gas model and it was so amazing. I am wanting the high 30mpg bc i drive a lot but after reading comments here, i think the gas might be a better choice. I need to test drive hybrid and see if it is underwhelming power un the 2.5l non turbo version. If so, i will be after the gas mldel
Hybrid is definitely a great option. And the power that that engine has. I believe will impress anyone. The question is, do you need it? Think about how often you drive. How many miles you put in per year? If it's not more than 15000 miles a year maybe gas is a strong option. To consider.
@chichaclutch14 yea it's 17000 to 20000 a year so it's making it a tough choice for me for sure
Very nice car! does it have the mudguards? if not, do you think the car should have the mudguards?
Re sale on the Hybrid will not be very good, I went with basically the same as you have, dealer added options etc. The 4 cy Turbo is great, very well made video. Mine came with a lot of light BLING like lights in the Cargo area and projectors on the mirrors that say Grand Highlander and a Toyota emblem. Owe I need to do a video also. The Hybid was $5 K MORE ! It would take 5 years to realize any savings, with $7.00 Gas and if Trump gets back in Office maybe 7-10 years. The tech is just to much, good choice on the rims
This isn’t true for other Toyota Hybrids so not sure why Grand Highlander would be any different. Sienna, Rav4 hybrids depreciate less than gas only versions. And at least where I live the regular hybrid version (not the Max) sells for the same in the Platinum trim as the gas only version. If it does cost a lot more than obviously it would take many years to recoup the cost but you also make a lot fewer trips to the gas station, which saves time and time is money so I’d still do the regular hybrid, best overall value, longest range, better acceleration around town, less time filling up and driving to gas stations, less fumes into the atmosphere, less deprecation.
@@itshadouken $6000 @8.98% -25% APR you are looking at 7-25 years to comp, thats if nothing goes wrong with the hybrid system. My bad ass Focus ST used is $12k 24MPG ..... Only the small hybrids without a mark up, which they all have mark ups currently are worth it . Bidens an asshole so are all the other Democrat presidents that use this PAIN to push us in the direction they desire. All while the rich deduct, and get you and I to pay for their hybrids, I did my own taxes as a business. If you make enough cash, you used to get tax credits, but that does not help those that are poor, or retired like me. Basically the folks that need the most are paying for this tech, just ,makes me sick, then they LIE and blame it on something else like. Folks that don't know just believe it, all while gas rises, its a head pounder for sure, many really think people are well intended. Many dont understand investment, tax code ahh when you're that ignorant its easy to trick you
I didn’t realize trump affected gas prices. Does he make it go higher or lower ? I thought he was only interested in not counting votes of people who didn’t vote for him.
Nice video! Can you tell the difference ot GH with Sienna in terms of space and driving dynamics? Thanks
The space of a Sienna is still greater by over all 3 inches, isn't much, but In a viechle when designed makes a big difference. So the Sienna has more storage which includes a deeper and wider cargo space. The way it drives no, I think they are very similar, but the GH seems easier maneuver and fit in tight parking spaces. Hope this helps
What gas octane ?
I quoted a GH Max Platinum here in SoCal. Dealer Markup is 2K. Total price is 69K out the door with taxes. I believe you had a better deal. What state did you buy your car?
Texas, mine is not hybrid
@@chichaclutch14 In the video, you said you got the Platinum model which is the Hybrid Max. Also, all GH comes in Hybrid only. Just a little bit confused.
@sfaryu you are confused i believe, all GH in California are hybrid. Not nationwide, I have the platinum trim that is not hybrid I boutvhere in the TX and NM area.
@@chichaclutch14 Thanks for clarifying...
You didn’t say what you picked for finance did you go with another lender or did you lease and how the rates and deals on lease or did u pay out with cash
I didn't finance the vehicle, but Toyota is around 7% for 72 months. Other lenders will depend on your area and credit of course.
Dealer markups pushed me away from this thing. I really wanted one, but Toyota’s dealerships are destroying brand loyalty.
I couldn't agree more, that is very true. Mark ups in some dealerships is unreal. I paid "sticker" with an added package, forced on me not by choice, but it was the best I could find in TX, NM, AZ, CO.
Same here. I bought three Hondas because of this.
@@chichaclutch14wow you searched 4 states? Holy cow! I love your GH. I’ve been wanting one, too. But, like the above commenter, I’ve been discouraged by all the markups and shady tactics. I can afford it, for sure, but no one likes to be hoodwinked or treated like we’re stupid enough to pay these mark ups. I don’t know what to do.
🙏
How’s Mazda cx90?
I've heard good things about the cx90, I personally have never driven it or really considered it because of its resell value in a very tough market. But most people say its awesome and that its drives super, I hear its a great bang for your buck and runs 10k to 15k less than its competitors.
What color? Windchill pearl ?
Yes that is correct
Looks like you paid in cash ? I don't think the dealers accept all cash .....
Why would they not?
If they want to sell a car they will or I walk away! They just don’t like for you to bring that much cash into the dealership.
@@chichaclutch14 they will finance it and let you pay the bank the whole thing after you drive away from the dealer lot, because they make money in financing it
@turanw not true, want me to upload the paperwork
You should have test drove the Mazda CX-90 turbo S PP
Not what we were looking for, we did the virtual test drive and walk around. Not what my wife liked so we didn't test drive.
Cx-90 is nice but too small. Barely room in the 3rd row and back storage
Very bland
Having supper?
I know this may offend many but RAV4 or Grand Highlander they all look the same
That's like saying, "Hey, you and your sister and brother all look ALOT alike!" How is that offensive? It's all the same family.
