I have this exact vehicle. i’ve been driving it for about a month and I really like it. Nice smooth ride and decent gas mileage. The only real disappointment is the underpowered JBL system. I wish they offered a more premium sound system
So what would you rate the system A thru F? I feel like if I can’t get the hybrid of this, I may go pilot or Pathfinder for less money.
@@alterbridgelive I got the gas only version because I couldn’t find the Hybrid Max in the color I wanted. My old car was on its last legs so I went ahead and got this vehicle. I’m very happy with it and I would buy it again. I plan to trade in this vehicle in the next year or two for the Hybrid Max version so that was the plan all along. Hopefully by that time there is an ample supply of the hybrid versions. I would put my satisfaction in the vehicle at 8.5/10 overall and the audio system 5/10.
Appreciate the response.
I have same model, I added 22 inch wheels, and memphis 8inch subs with Memphis 1500 Watt amp. Tinted the front window and looks and sounds sharp..
I really wish folks would indicate "Hybrid Max" in their titles... Just saying "Platinum" alone implies its the 2.4L Turbo Gas version (non-hybrid)... There are several key differences between the two. I'm hunting for videos on the Platinum (Gas) and keep watching these Hybrid Max videos and learning several minutes in THESE AREN'T THE DROIDS I'M LOOKING FOR :)
Thank you for the video and all the important information . Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the detailed review, I appreciate it. This is the most thorough video explaining the vast majority of the buttons and features.
At around 21:30, there is a button blank on the left of the dial with drive modes (to the left of traction control on/off button.) Since this is a top trim, what function is missing? Is there an option package this doesn't have? Or maybe it's the stop-start button that hybrids don't need?
Excellent detailed review
Great review
Excellent informative video. Thank you. I will be buying one in a few months as dealer’s inventories increases.
nice video. that middle tray is a waste of space, most people would rather have a seat there instead
Like the pilot has a seat that folds down into a tray

Yes - there are quite a lot of us that carry more than four people that want a second row bench seat that can comfortably sit three people across (we have a 2001 Suburban that does that just fine, but it also gets 12 mpg 😞). And in my case, I want it on the Platinum Hybrid Max, but that's not available. Why not? Just make it an option on all trims? Please?
Can you help me if you know information about her arrival in the Middle East because the agent is very bad for the Middle East and does not disclose any information
What color interiors are there?
I think the bumpers only have to be 2.5 mph now. Ridiculous, the simplest mistakes will be so costly. Probably why my insurance has gone up 25% in the last couple years 😞
Maybe you could do a detailed review on the infotainment and MID displays sometime? I've seen a partial map display on the MID in some reviews but it's glossed over - is that feature available on all trims? What else can you tell us about that?
Also, I wish Toyota would let me the customer decide whether I want a 2nd-row bench seat or not on *all* trims. I'd love to buy the Hybrid Max Platinum but we have a family of five, which means we want the three kids in the 2nd row, leaving all the cargo space for road trip stuff. Do you know why this is not possible? Toyota is far from alone in this practice, and I wish this would stop (except Honda has a removable middle position in the 2nd row, providing me with a bench seat even on their top trim, and Ford Explorer, and apparently Pathfinder.) Have you personally sat in the middle position in a model with the bench seat? It looks to be less padded than the outboard seats. Something we noticed on the regular Highlander is that the center position was very noticeably hard (firm) and uncomfortable. I hope that's not the case on this great new vehicle.
Is it come with a 8 seat model??
You can get a 2nd row bench seat on the XLE and Limited, but not Platinum. And you cannot get the Hybrid Max powertrain with a bench seat (gas and regular hybrid only.)
30 min...ugh. C'mon man. Can't finish this...12 min is plenty. And 5 months late. Other than that...great video.
Some of us appreciated the details he points out. But sure, I wish it were sooner. Just glad it's available now.
