      N. J. she worked on the WINNER project in 2012 Winner debuted in 2014 win who's next was in 2013 so they already knew who's gonna be the next from team A and Team B all of that was a show !! correct me if I get it wrong please

      WIN was basically a marketing strategy to publicize WINNER and iKON. I thought everyone knows it.

    • @dobbysyellowsocks4051
      @dobbysyellowsocks4051 6 років тому +7

      See-Ham HF it was obviously all programmed that's why they made winner look like it was their last chance and said that ikon were still young and could have other opportunities (aka mix and match) even tho the year difference between winner and iKON it's like 2 or 3 years

    I'm sure the darkness thing is for picture taking. since it is so dark in that room, you wouldn't be able to take pictures unless you use flash and when you use the flash it is easy to notice and you will get kicked out
    isn't this to keep the artists safe

      Jess Hedges At some point I knew this thing called "professionals". I'm pretty sure that they were taught to act a certain way to look more professional. But the way she worded it, "manufactured" gets me. And pretty sure most people can tell if someone's being fake or not.

I think YG is so slow in having comebacks for their artists. Good thing they always slay during such comebacks so the wait is worth it.

    Wow, that's cool to see a company as big as YG doing such a program.
    To also experience is great, seems laid back.
    As for me, if I was to go through the same thing - favourite artist at YG?
    A year ago would have been BIGBANG since they got me into KPop but now, Akdong Musician or Epik High

      Well if you take the example of Leo from VIXX, he's a really outgoing person known to be super cuddly with his friends and to be super social, but Jellyfish wanted him to play the mysterious shy role. He's coming out of it more now, but in the beginning the act was really obvious. In some cases companies do force you to act a certain way :/

    • @caricakes
      @caricakes  7 років тому +101

      some of my close friends were in dance school with him, so yes I probably know his personality more than most.

    • @minsunhee2518
      @minsunhee2518 7 років тому +10

      cari cakes i understand that someone like leo did take up that introvert image and was (as far as i know & most likely) told to act shy although as you said it was pretty obvious it was set up from the start. i dont know how easy it would be for korean idols to obtain a certain image for years would actually be as if they were to slip up or make it overly obvious that would be likely to cause some controversy which is in most cases is bad for the company and often gives them a bad reputation. that makes me think that a case similar to leos is fairly rare when it comes to korean pop bands. i mean of course you will know more than me but i would have thought it would be a lot easier and safer for the companies to pick people who already have the desired traits and personalities as it allows them to act a lot more natural and not have the extra pressure of putting on a slight character although i wouldnt be surprised if the companies gave the idols some slight idea on how they should act at certain times or may also tell them to emphasize some of their current traits but i guess all companies are different and they may do thinvs differently to others. sorry i wrote so much and i of course have no actual experience with any of this so i dont know exactly what goes down in the depths of YG and other companies but this is my idea and my thoughts on what i would have thought some companies may do, also thank you for the video 😊❤

    Not really a YG fan, like I used to be back in -12 and -13 maybe?, I'm also indifferent about it now but I've bumped into a lot of the YG managers - and I dunno if they're very different from the other YG staff, but they didn't have that aura going on - not the one you described at least.
    I'm not saying this to put anyone down, I don't actually know the people, but I've always had a good 'vibe'-radar and they just didn't click with it. They could also just have been very stressed everytime I met them I really dunno...
    But cool story anyway~ I'll check out part 2 as well.

    ha! i've always had the feeling that the members' personalities are "made", not really their true self. every time i tell this to my friends they would think i'm crazy. i'm solely here for kpop because of their cinematography and visual design hahaha

      Watching this from 2017 and I'm quite sad. I mean since you mentioned they pretty much "manufactured" and WINNER was already decided even before the WIN program, I'm thinking was the crying of team b because they lost is scripted.. waaaah.. that blew my mind..

    • @xxkarenchan
      @xxkarenchan 6 років тому +4

      Julie Anne Alkuino This might be out of nowhere but if you're an iKONIC you'd see throught their tears during WIN. It was real, like all of their struggles in that entire survival show. But honestly i got sad on that manufactured thing too. Maybe it's just the image that they were told to portray in public.
