Volvo s40 2008 siren alarm module location.

I can confirm this is the same place in V50 (not under the wheel arch!) Alarm siren on a v50 is metal cased, but is interchangeable with the plastic variety (also, plastic one is the one where you can change the battery of, I got a second hand one on eBay, replacement battery, and at it worked a treat!). Thanks for this!!

Hello, how difficult is it to change the battery? Do you have to brake the plastic case?? Or the metal case in your case? Did you disconnect the car battery before removing the alarm siren? Just change the battery and install the alarm siren? Does this erase the code "alarm system service required"?

The siren alarm will drain your battery if not replaced..its easy to do and cheap! Have a go!

@@magicgaby8613 Removed it, ordered a new battery which came in the wrong dimensions so just left it. Nobody is going to steal my old Volvo and the reorder effort is too much. Warning shows that the alarm is not working which I clear if I want to.

waiting for me to fix my V50 siren starts late at night and wakes up neighbors. That flashlight will be a problem and when I press the key to unlock the siren it will turn on.
