❤ I love you guys. Have helped me a lot. Showed my therapist this.... He gave me an alternate excercise of dangling the leg over the side of the bed length wise at the hip. Ie laydown close to the side of the bed, one butt cheek right at the end and drop the leg off of the side of the bed and let dangle for 30 seconds ..

Hip pain is so annoying and debilitating. Until you get hip problems you don’t actually realise how much your hip affects practically every movement that you do. Even sitting and lying down! 😡

I've had bad hip pain for quite some time. There are lots of justifiable back story for it, but getting debilitating none the less.
I used a dog leash on the handrail of the outside steps. When my hip went back into the socket, it was so noticeable I thought the leash had given away. The sharp hard pain has dissipated. Thank you very much.

Good stuff, I started taking Tai Chi and it has helped mobility, strength, balance and reduced my pain.
I wish you would have gone more in depth as to what the symptoms of the syndrome is. I'm having some hip and upper quad pain that I would have liked to have compared to the syndrome but I didn't get enough information as to what I would be experiencing for symptoms.
I wish this vid was around a few years ago. My issue was resolved but it took a lot longer than it would've had I seen this. I can still utilize these exercises to continue improvement.

The problem with all of this advice (here and elsewhere) is that the viewer may not have an informed diagnosis. So all therapies are a shot in the dark. I've had hip pains of all kinds (lateral, medial, anterior, posterior) and have tried several types of therapies for weeks, and my progress, if any, is uncertain.
My first visit to a hip specialist years ago indicated bone spurs and osteoarthritis. Now, the anterior pain is the worst, and I'm wondering it it's the labrum. I have an appointment with another specialist in July.
I'm not saying that this video presents bad information. I think there's good stuff here. I'm just saying that knowing what the issue is beats trying every possible therapy to see which works. That is, if you have the means to access a specialist.

Great info. I've never heard of this issue but can see how it could cause a lot of pain and as always, when one area is off, the whole gait is off, leading to further issues. QUESTION…
When I broke my hip in 2017 I had a repair done. In 2019 I had to have a hip replacement (apparently the “ball” deteriorated and I had a two inch difference in leg length)
When the surgeon did the replacement, the prosthetic could not be pushed back far enough due to calcification(?) from the rod placed in my femur initially, so my prosthetic actually juts out a bit at my hip. I have been disabled ever since (I also have osteoarthritis since childhood and every X-ray taken of anywhere on my body inevitably they say “you’ve got a lot of arthritis in there” - all throughout my body.
Do you think these exercises will benefit me? I’ve tried a lot of things, but this wasn’t part of my PT.
I am not a doctor, but anything your PT gives you to do, is custom to your health. My question is, isn't childhood Osteoarthritis actually rheumatoid? May ibe more autoimmune related?

Pain is huge in my back since injury and as I said, I’ve had X-rays of virtually all of me and everyone comments about how much arthritis I have…back, shoulders, hip, ankles, toes, hands… it’s kinda weird

I have got a very bad hip pain but not think show on x ray and ct scan and dr don’t know what is going on and same with me and I find it hard to walk
