I have double black. I like it. Being in Southern Florida, for me it’s only usable in winter, not even Fall cuz it’s still too hot. From Polo I have Blue EDP, Deep Blue, Red Rush, Red EDP and Ralph’s Club EDP. I like them all and most are good every day scents. None of them perform very well, so I tend to buy 100ml or larger where I can find. I tend to wear Red Rush and Red EDP the most.
Ralph Lauren make many under-the-radar fragrances. I started getting into their fragrances a few months ago, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Polo Purple label, Polo Cologne Intense, Polo Supreme Oud, Polo Supreme Cashmere, Polo Deep Blue, Red Rush, etc.
I first picked this one up way back in 2010, and since then I've purchased 4 additional bottles. It's definitely one of my favorites from the Polo line.
Great call, Double Black is an easy wear that I owe a retry. My favorite RL scent is Safari for Men from the 90s, a formative fresh spicy blend that I still enjoy very much today.
It's funny that you're reviewing this fragrance because I went back and forth between double black and red intense this morning for my scent of the day. Double black is what pretty much kickstarted me collecting fragrances, so I was considering wearing it today out of nostalgia. After checking out a couple reviews review on it before purchasing it, I realize that the fragrance world is a lot bigger than I thought.
This is the first fragrance I ever bought from the Polo brand. I really liked it , but as I wore it more, I landed up loving it, especially when it dries, and the wind catches it in the cooler weather. I also love the Sophisticated element of the scent.
I've used Double Black for over 15 years, and I don't even drink coffee. Finding it is always a challenge, especially outside the US. I prefer the subtlety, especially at work. I never used any fragrance before and I was shocked by the price. Now I use it daily, but I consider Creed expensive.
Yeah polo red line is definitely my favorite when I first got Ralph's club it smelled very similar to polo red like if they came out with another version of Polo red instead of Ralph's club I would have no doubt believing that it was part of the Polo red DNA. That's just my personal opinion it's definitely a little pricey but hopefully the price will come down a little bit more and won't be as pricey as it is.
This is one of my top 3 fragrances of all time the performance is ok only downfall but if this would have been beast mode 10 out of 10 masterpiece status 👏 TY for reviewing this beauty! Don't sleep on this trust me! ✌❤🙏
This one does have enough freshness for use on Summer nights as well! And the performance it used to be great- really heavy, thick, creamy. The formulations these days are a watered down, much more transparent version
Great review! I've got Polo Ultra Blue and it's one of my favorite summer scents. Being in Florida I can rock this well into Fall. Crisp zesty citrus salty vibe. Might need to over spray this one but it'll definitely bring the compliments. 💯

My SOTD! Picked up a box set for $60 over four years ago. Combined with after shave and deodorant it helps the edt push in longevity and projection. Great subtle scent

I never picked up on Mango, guess I'm not as sophisticated as you all. The pepper is beastly, I like it, but it's too strong and I've had the same bottle probably since this was introduced,,,prefer Polo Black over Double Black. Used to get the friends & family something like 30% off at Polo Outlets, that's where I bought a ton of Polo fragrances, but now fragrance is excluded. Favorite from the Polo line is Explorer, which is impossible to find any longer. Next to that is Polo Leather, I bought 3 bottles! Used to Love Big Pony #3, which is discontinued. I like Polo Blue for a mindless grab. I am really into Lime from way back when English Leather made a strong lime scent some 40 years ago, have never found anything that is just strong Lime. Bought the Polo Lime, I hardly wear it at all, it's light. Wanting Red Rush, but currently don't have any in the Red line. Original Polo Green & Gold is pleasant, but far too many people use this, so I would never own it. I'm enjoying your channel, I hope you pick up more Polo Fragrances to review.
I agree with Black over Double Black. I like the OG Polo, Blue and Supreme Leather has a honey/leather combo that is I think unique. Black is my favorite in the line. I’ve been out of the cologne game for a while. But I have Explorer, RL Romance and Safari as well. Way back I had Polo Crest and that is something I wish was around now.
Had it back in 2015 when i was in college, got it as a gift, looooove the smell, but the performance and longevity man, about 2h...real shame, searched for an alternative, still didnt found one

I have Polo black I don't have Polo double black but Polo red and Polo red intense both smell really good and when I purchased Ralph's club it's very similar to you Polo red to me at least. Also Polo Blue polo blue EDP In a classic that I had back in the day and I have now is Polo sport lol So I don't know which ones you have of the polo line also have polo green which definitely is a more foresty green smell.. Once apon a time, I enjoyed my bottle of double black and then I went and gave it to my bloody brother, what a fool, beautiful scent. I have not worn this in years but would love to revisit the fragance, but no luck in finding a decent bottle, it's a bastard to find that is. Anyway who knows, maybe one day.
You've got me reconsidering getting Polo Black and Double Black, which I had previously looked at but figured weren't for me. I have both Red and Red Extreme, and love them both. Will eventually get Red Intense and check out the Blue line, but not while the weather is cooling down. And lastly, if you like coffee scents you absolutely must check out Coffee Addict from Theodoros Kalotinis. Ever walk into a coffee house, smell the coffee with hints of vanilla and caramel from the sweet drinks people order, and think that it smells amazing? That's exactly what it smells like. For €45/50mL, a complete steal.
I wish i could find some Polo crest, i bought a thing of deodorant from eBay a few years ago and while it probably wasn't worth wearing, i just opened it up and set it in tge cup holder of my truck like an air freshener and it took me back to high school days.

Red Extreme is better in almost all respects. I own both and the performance and longevity of Red Extreme is vastly superior, though still not great. As far as scent goes, they both scratch the coffee fragrance itch. Both very good scents, though I wish they performed better

Polo Red and the flankers Polo Red Intense, Polo Red Extreme, and Polo Red EDP are all awesome to me. I just adore the Red lineup.

Pretty much unfortunately, which is a shame because a lot of their scents are top notch
I can confirm this is true for most of their scents except for Polo Red EPD. Projection is decent and I get about 7 to 8hrs longevity on my skin.

The Cosmair version of Polo Green is the best smelling version in my opinion.
