Good to see cobra innovating and challenging the big brands with top quality clubs. The mandala adapter looks really clever and a breakthrough compared with the rather disapointing adapters of most other brands. Excellent review.
Great job Joe. It’s a real talent to be able to simplify something which looks so confusing. Interested to see the comparison with the new TM model which imo has similarities at first glance. Maybe they’ll buy Cobra too like the did with Adams. 🤔
Thanks, Joe. Well explained and an excellent review. Would have liked you to have tinkered with the sleeve to see if it changed the flight and demonstrated that.
Good review & always interesting to get JTP’s views on products, and with the likelihood of finding a quality fitter with multi-company products in the golfing desert of East Anglia less likely than a hole-in-one, maybe a 30-setting sleeve & self-fitting is the way to go!
Looks and sounds like there are a lot of options to fit pretty much anyone. The new loft sleeve looks and sounds pretty cool. Hopefully other manufacturers (the industry) see that and make their adapters more configurable in the future (but I suspect that's unlikely).
James Robinson says that you use the mandala to pick your desired shot shape from it and adjust to that, not as you say dial in the opposite settings to your shot shape to correct it - you are correct though!
Would you be willing to share another video diving into the smartpad technology? It almost sounds too good to be true I don't understand how sole contouring can somehow keep a face angle square / neutral for all those different loft settings.
Great reviewing Joe. I wonder if you would go against the manufacturers grain a little bit and investigate the benefits of switching out modern drivers for an appropriately lofted mini driver. I see so many golfers, most of them, unable to consistently play a modern driver, even after fitting. Too many are sold on that 1 in 20 Sunday best drive and just can't manage the excessive length of shaft and upright lie angles. I know this is probably a boring subject for you to investigate but I believe your voice is becoming more important in the equipment space
That’s kind bud, appreciate the encouragement 👍 Could well be one for the new year, especially given some of the new releases that are coming from some other manufacturers…🤫😉
its weird you got mid high spin off the max k. its listed at mid low spin and that is what i have found and most reviewers. for me im at 14.5 launch 2200 spin... i had to raise my launch to get more spin.....wrong shaft? any way weird? im also a bit slower ball speed but not much maybe 10 mph. I also got fitted, im sure i tried a shaft that was more spinny and not optimal.
Whether it’s a big success or not having 33 different hosel settings will be pretty confusing for your average joe regardless of how good the QR code app is ! The old dudes will hate it !
Completely over engineered. Considering the average golfer hits the ball over the face with varying face angle at impact, getting consistency is unrealistic based on driver tec alone. Work on swing and strike. You cannot buy a golf game, you have to grind at one.
A nice looking club for shelf appeal but from the top is very bland. 33 adjustments? For most normal golfers that’s as practical as going to a buffet and finding 33 varieties of chicken! Is this really needed for the majority of golfers? No if you need that many trinkets to play with for adjustments, you need golf lessons. That’s enough to confuse most people, and get them frustrated to throw the club in the bush. Furthermore, you can’t even use that shaft with a previous version of cobra drivers. And vice versa. So if you have a $1000 auto flex shaft in your previous cobra driver, good luck it does not fit this one. There’s only so much that technology can do the drivers from the last seven years even back to 2017 from the Taylormade M1 to the other models up until last year are so advanced. This really is not needed. But for somebody that wants the latest and greatest years in new toy to play with at an advanced price. Heck for the cost of these new drivers I would rather go buy something 3 to 5 years old. Take a few golf lessons if needed, and spend the money actually playing the game
To much bullshit as usual about how you think it looks at address, unless you can quantify that making a playing difference I don't even care what you think it looks like.
Hi , you guys do great reviews Thankyou. One question though, with regard to the Cobra max k driver. You said the spin is a bit high and I have recently seen the Article in Golf Monthly where you compare it to the Ping 10k Model. Surely you are using the 10.5 degree model in the A1 setting against the ping 9 degree. Sure.y that will have a huge effect on the spin numbers. If you adjust the loft setting which I have done on the Cobra Max K the spin numbers are very acceptable and comparable to the Ping 10k model. As I have tested them both. I am a PGA Pro. I find your results a bit misleading with regard to the Cobra Max K driver. I was getting the same spin numbers , forgiveness, and distance if not better than the Ping out of the cobra.. No critique of you guys of course only saying what result I have received. My SS is around 110 mph. Thank you Martin Hastie
More reviews from Joe, please. Excellent content!
Love the content from Joe really knows his stuff, proper good golfer and comes across well more content please.
Thanks very much, that’s nice to hear 🙏

Great review Joe very well explained.

Absolutely Genius design! Perfect for fitters and those who love to tinker!

Is the adapter universal for left and right handed heads?
Waiting patiently for adjustable hosels for irons for fine tuning trajectory and gapping.

Joe the pro is a natural presenter!
I dunno about that, but cheers anyway!🙏🙏
is the adaptor the same making as the myfly system but with more options ?
kickPoint coming to YT or what brah!?!?! lulz love the new show btw
We're here! Our Cobra debrief is coming out tomorrow. Consider it an even deeper dive into the excellent job Joe has done here! - Dan
Hey Joe, great review but it would be good to know the pricing as Cobra have traditionally been a bit cheaper than the marquee brands.
Everyones talking abiut the adaptor, but the actual heads are fantastic looking

If you twist the adapter you don’t see any change in the angle of the shaft connecting to the driver head. Can you show that?
Hi, i'm playing cobra Clubs for ages😂 40 years playing golf! My advice: get a propper swing and forget screwing ! Cobra from 2023 is good enough!
Yes jtp ... I'll have all 4 cheers 😂😂
🤣 all in the bag at once?!
After watching Rick's review, I'm hoping this is more in-depth

My swing changes every week, my body has thousands of adjustments

Set and forget.....
Helps when reselling, though, or when your swing changes...
Those Darkspeeds didn't last long
That's because Cobra cycle is 1 year. They bring them out without fail

Agree. Too fine tuned for the average golfer but genuinely useful for the good golfer that has consistent ball striking and shot trajectory.
