    Good stuff man! Might as well sell the 100v at a gain when you have the xpro 3. The xpro 3 is like a 100v on steroids.

    Thanks for the video.
    I prefer the X-Pro 3 over the X100V because I need interchangeable lenses.
    I prefer the X-Pro 2 over the X-Pro 3 because there are not enough improvements in the X-Pro 3 to make it worthwhile.

    • @annekedebruyn7797
      @annekedebruyn7797 7 місяців тому +1

      Same.
      There are enough pancake lenses to make them pretty much the same size.
      You just don't get the flash and the leaveshutter but that isn't my thing anyways.
      I did wish the Xpro had an internal ND filter tho.

      Why do you need an internal neutral density filter?
      I ask because I have eleven neutral density filters that I use on my lenses and an internal ND filter would not help me much because most of mine are graduated ND filters.

      @@Narsuitus It's just handy. For non-pro work. I don't always want to have to bring my filters with me. Especially when I am on vacation.
      Plus one big plus even for shooting pro is that you can map it on a button which is really fast. Especially for event work like weddings.

    Great choice! I have both and have thought about selling the 100V. Its super light, I do like the built in ND filter and I actually use the little flash but the pro3 has a more solid feel to it and then there’s the lens thing.
    People talk about the ribbon cable failure but I’m not super worried about that. The only time I use the viewfinder is to do firmware updates, no chimping for me. Plus, the money could go towards a Leica m4-p!

    Facts. I brought the XPro3 last year at a good price brand new before the price increase of the X100V and now the X-Pro 3. Plus I felt limited by the fixed lens on the 100 as opposed to changing out the lens on the XPro 3. No disrespect to the X100 but I enjoy the Xpro3 more.

    I kind of see the 100v is the xpro 3 on steroids.
    Built in nd filter I use constantly.
    Leaf shutter.
    Built in flash I basically just keep on all the time, the only Built in flash that I have used that's super useful because of the leaf shutter.
    I'm a 35mm user primarily and the 100v one is miles better than the 23mm 2.0. Sharper, better contrast and much better at closeup subjects.
    The dials are designed better and smarter.
    The controversial screen. Do I really need to go on a rant about it😢

    Plus built-in ND filter and flash. Lots of creative options in a small package.

    • @ovrxpsd
      @ovrxpsd 9 місяців тому +2

      the leaf shutter's main use is to sync the flash but the x100v is rarely used with studio work. the majority of people buying that camera are just using it for street, or candid family moments etc. the ND filter is the only good thing about it but you can easily purchase an ND filter for your lens. i personally think the x-pro 3 is a better choice for me.

    I’m with you. But my reasons are a little different. I bought the x100V long nefore it became ‘a thing’. So i paid normal price. But i found the ergonomics not so good. It needs more grip. And the focus ring with the limited finger tabs is not easy to reach. Even though the xpro is a bit chunky, i love how it fits my hands. Just wish they both had IBIS so the primes could get image stabilization for low light photography.

    I chose the X-Pro3 over the x100V first of all because is overpriced and second I can switch the lens. I think they are both amazing cameras but I'm very happy with my choice, it's like the photos come out as I predicted, I simply love it.

    • @ovrxpsd

      images are the exact same because they use the same sensor. the only advantage the V has is the built-in ND filter and the lens on the V is better than Fuji's other equivalent lenses like the 23mm F2. other than that, I prefer the xpro-3. I sold my V for it.

    • @yoshitwomi
      @yoshitwomi 9 місяців тому

      not as good in what way? price? sure. but the x100v and xpro3 are literally almost identical, except the x100v has a fixed lens, nd filter, flash, smaller body. so the x100v is not worse, but more niche because of the fixed lens. I do agree it's overhyped. but it's not like the x-pro3 is a completely "pro" product. it has a niche feature which is the hidden LCD screen, which does not benefit most professional photographers. I really do not understand how the x100v is necessarily worse than the pro3

    • @theconsultantscoach3845
      @theconsultantscoach3845 9 місяців тому +1

      I have both as well as a Leica Q2 (the ultimate fixed-lens camera) so I don't have a dog in this debate. The X100V is a simple consumer point-and-shoot that has been hyped to death. But there is no shame there if people buying them have never shot with an X-Pro 3. The cameras are by no means equal (just the price is :-). The X-Pro 3 has many features the X100V doesn't have starting with dual cards (all pros use if you consider wedding photographers pros :-), weather sealing, and access to a wide range of great lenses. The EVF/OVF and hybrid mini screen (a fab and highly useful feature) is by no ways a gimmick. Better build quality in a major way (pro vs. consumer). Better video set up with jacks (although anyone using it as a video camera is nuts. It was built for photos). It can be made to the mimic the X100V with the quick twist of a classic 23mm wide-angle lens (just pretend you can't take it off). All I am saying is that for basically the same prices with tons of more options you can get an X-Pro 3. That said, I think we can all agree that all these debates are silly; it is the photographer who makes the image. @@yoshitwomi
