I just got the graphite version this spring. I was about to get a 3, but decided on a 2 at the last minute and am more convinced all the time I made the right decision. I have it on me pretty much always, even when I'm out doing paid shoots with a full frame. People react noticeably different when you point that small xpro at them instead of a heavy, loud camera. I don't care at all about its age. It's still an almost perfect daily camera. There's some kinda magic in those things.
Hey I found an unused in box for 2300 w a 24mm? Graphite. Are you still digging it? I can get the 100vi but no lense options? I don't love that idea. What say you?
@@Bowiehair yeah, I love it still. It’s definitely the camera I use the most. If you want something to have on you everyday, it’s fantastic. Just the jpegs on the screen when shooting are enough to make me gasp quite often.
This may be the video that tips me over into the X-Pro2 fan club. First, lovely family - and beautiful photos of them. Thanks for showing this, as I think we all want to be able to do this with our gear: take lovely pics of those we love. Next, gorgeous, smooth, professional video. Props. And then the easy-going, conversational soundtrack, just very chill. Love it. Talent and charm in one. Oh, kinda reminds me of the camera you're reviewing. 😀 Good luck. And thank you.
First time coming across your channel. I really like you photographs and totally agree with you on the XP2. I replaced my XP2 with an XP3 and lived to regret it. It turned out that the XP2 really was my favorite Fuji camera but didn’t know it at the time. The situation has since been corrected. Nice presentation, lovely photos.
The X100V prices helped me resell it to fund a Leica with only a $100 loss. How f’n nuts is that? The market price gouging is insane, yet people are paying the price. The 35 1.4 with the XPRO2 is FARRRRRRRRR superior to the X100 lens as well
you're really giving me a better perspective on the pro 2, I was looking into the pro 3 but now that you really cleared the air on what is worth my money, I'm confident in picking up a 2 in the next few months. Love the content, please never stop :)
As someone who bought the x-pro 2 when it was released I cannot recommend it enough. I only sold mine a month ago because it put it though a lot of abuse and it started acting up a bit and after upgrading to the x-t5 I can say confidently that the x-pro 2 and the Fuji lenses are something special. I will absolutely buy another x-pro in the future ❤ (here I am watching videos reminiscing on my old camera because it was so good)
It’s a fun camera! As someone who shot film cameras I love the analog look and the OVF is a lifesaver. Love the colors that come out of the Fuji! My only gripe is that There’s some film sims like Classic Negative from xpro 3 that I want but was able to recreate it with film recipes!
Great video Sir. I have X-Pro 1 and love it. Looked at the 3 and said to myself. The money saved would pay for a good overnight trip. It did & no regrets.
My Xpro 2 is with me daily i really love the camera. I wrongfully don’t even consider waiting for an upgrade. Also as film shooter with many mechanical cameras that still work great. My M3 built in 57 helps me make photos i can be pleased with still. I guess that is too much to ask from a camera company nowadays. Hopefully my Xpro 2 can give somewhat a long photographic life. Fujifilm discontinues too many film stocks for me to fully love them as company. But, I love my Xpro 2!
Hi from Holland and thanks for helping me make the right choice. This video made me choose the X-pro 2 a few weeks ago and I love it. Still using my older Pentax K5 as well with over 40000 clicks, but the X-pro 2 helped me to enjoy photography again more than (or then?) ever… dankjewel!
I just bought a used XPro2 plus 18-55 and the 1.4 35mm is on my wish list. I'm still getting used to the camera but I will definitely try out the recipes, thanks for these.
I'm glad you're enjoying the X-Pro2! I had a preorder in when it first came out so had one of the first ones. It had one annoying fault: the eyepiece ring was constantly falling off to the point where I put the ring in a drawer until I eventually traded in the camera for the XP3. I bought the XP3 for the flip screen but didn't get on with it at all. Eventually I sold it and re-bought what was probably the last new XP2 in the UK. I'm very happy I did and still have it. It's very comfortable in the hand and I believe Acros is better on the 2 than the 3. I think Fuji changed the eyepiece design slightly at some point and I've had no problems at all with the ring coming off. Can't see me trading this one in for the foreseeable future! Happy shooting, your pictures look great from this camera! 😊
It's interesting how fuji has made these small changes from generation to generation some goodnsome bad but the inconsistencies are polarizing the community. You're not alone a lot of people in my groups have reverted to the x-pro2 from the 3
Hi! Maybe you can help me. I was trying to connect a monitor to shoot video to this camera. It doesn't work. I can view photos and videos, but I can't shoot videos using a monitor. Maybe there is a secret?
I love this camera. I did struggle for months to find the best option when transferring after 10+ years from Canon... and Fuji was the answer. Canon was great in quality but bulky (50D, 6D), heavy and not...everyday-friendly. X-pro2 is perfect and sooo classy. I use all the cheaper f2 lenses to reduce the weight and size (18mm f2 being my choice here). I consider selling those and go for f 1.4 versions but these are way bigger...and portability was why I moved to X-pro2..! Sometime I think abut selling and going full modern Sony A6700 etc. but.... something keeps me with my Fuji.
Glad I could help! I think it really comes down to two things interchangeable lenses and ergonomics. If you prefer the fixed lens and have no desire to change focal lengths and want a slightly smaller body get the x100v but then there is the price lol. Even the x100f second hand is being sold at decent prices. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
@@FilmedbyFreshI daily a x pro 2 and with a xf 35 f1.2 and a Ricoh Gr3, I would choose this combo over having a x100v any day of the week, they're literally just better and anyone who says otherwise is simply delusional
Just wanted to let you know you are a standout. First video I watched from your channel and then immediately subscribed. I've been trying all the Fuji film cameras. I settled on two x-t-4 one with a full spectrum conversion. I'm really enjoying learning infrared photography. My other keeper is the E-E1. Took that out yesterday with my new Laowa 10 mm F4. That's a very interesting tool. Very well done video!
I used to be a Canon guy but switched to fuji, ive shot sonys and man honestly i love my xt and xpro the most. They look amazing, easy to capture moody pics, the whole 9 yards. Only downfall is low light situations. Yeah you can shoot at f1.4 but i honestly am not a fan of every pictures background being completely blown out. Thats fujis apsc line biggest downfall imho. Loved the vid broski. You got great style
I’ve yet to use fuji for anything other than stills but it’s reinvigorated my love for photography. Outside of that I’m all Sony and a couple film cameras
I love my X-Pro 2, I picked it up in the summer '22 and I am super pleased with it. I too find that I gravitate to the 35 mm lens. Thanks for the the recipes which is something I haven't gotten into as yet. I was really disappointed the Fujifilm dropped the line. The killer feature for me in the X-Pro line is the optical view finder. I have a Leica iiif and quite like the rangefinder look. There are a lot of other features in their line that brought me there. I am an old fart and if Fuji makes a X-Pro 4 I hope they put image stabilisation on it but the ship has already sailed over the horizon.
I purchased a Xpro 3 two years back, got a great price too. I thought the same that it would be my fun camera, to go with my workhorse full frame Canon R5. Nowadays the Xpro 3 is my go too camera, I absolutely love it! Feels such much more fun and creative to use, not to mention it can go everywhere with you without breaking your back 😂 The Fuji pro 56mm (85mm equivalent) f1.2 is also stunning, great in low light but with an ND works superb in the day too.
Thanks for making this video. I’m looking for a great travel/family camera. Made it late to the X100V party, and I’m not paying double for it. I really dig the style of the X Pro line. Found some good deals on an X Pro 2 recently. Sounds like it may be the right next camera for me.
If I remember correctly the Pro2 also has the same feature the Pro 1 had where you can slide in conversion lenses in the OVF at the flick of a switch to change the percieved focal length, especially if you use longer lenses. The fact that they removed that in the Pro3 while increasing the cost and removing things like the D-Pad is crazy to me. Honestly though, everything that remotely looks like an X100 camera is getting a huge mark up on the used market nowadays, especially in Europe. The X-Pro series was always high in price cause it had a cult following for years (especially the X-Pro 1) but now even the X-E series is getting a markup too which is crazy. Few examples of prices in Europe compared to a few month ago: X-E1s used to be pretty cheap, around 170/200€, now good luck findingnone under 300. (X-Pro 1 was around 400, maybe 450 now but didn't move much) X-E2 and X-E2S used to be 250ish/300, now you see some grtting in the 500/550 territory which is completely nuts. Even worse, you could get an X-E3 for about 500, now the prices are going up to the 700+ (saw some around 800 even) Meanwhile cameras that do not bear that much of a ressemblance with the X100/X-Pro/X-E series like the X-T or X-H cameras are getting pretty low, especially for the performance. I'm thinking in particular about cameras like the X-T2 and X-T20 that are seeing prices as low as 450€, which is crazy compared to X-E3 prices All of that to say that if you don't mind the EVF (which is actually good in these Fujis) youl can end up paying less a camera that is sometimes considerably better (especially if we compare like X-T2 to X-Pro2/E3 or X-T1 to X-E2)
Yeah it is annoying on the pro-3 that they removed the OVF diopters, but its because they made the overall viewfinder bigger, I just wish they couldve done it without removing the 18mm framelines
I was able to buy a new one last year for $720. That was a steal and I also have the 35mm f1.4 with it. So much character. The only issue for me is the lack of IBIS which makes shooting at night difficult as it's not really a camera to be used with a tripod
the 35mm 1.4 has been my go to I also have the 23mm f2 and I am probably gonna grab the 18mm f2 soon but the 35mm has that look I need. I just looked it up on amazon and they have a used one in “‘good” condition going for $425 which is a good deal, left a link in the description for you.
The xpro2 has one of my favourite cameras to owm. The sensor back then was more punchy in colour and contrast. That said, when I sold it and when I see it today, it still sells for the same price it was when it was brand new.
Wow, you did well on the XPro2 price! I probably should never had bothered to "upgrade" from the XPro2 to the XPro3. I'm not sure I can agree with you statement about the build quality of the XPro2 being better than the XPro3. Then again there were some top plate issues reported on the XPro3, as well as the rear LCD's ribbon failures. It will be interesting to see if there is a XPro4, and if that loses the hidden LCD or not. BTW I do like the Dura finish on the XPro3. Finally, nice wood grip on your XPro2. What brand is it?
Yeah the display ribbon/ top panel issues coupled with all of the rumors of an X-Pro 4 successor coming soon got the best of me and I had to return it. God forbid, my ribbon went out and I'd be SOL, with them having limited parts and discontinuing cameras left and right I couldn't keep it in full faith weighing all the options. I got the X-Pro 1 w/ 23mm F2 for $600 for my wife and the X-Pro 2 for $780 so I made out pretty well. I left a link to the grip in the description it's from WEPOTO great quality and helps with my large hands.
How do you keep it looking so prestine!? My X-Pro2 has been my daily driver since it's release. It is beaten up quite moderately - it does not look that clean. But I do agree with your points, both the film and recipes. It's a great piece of kit, especially for 2024.
I am the second owner of this x-pro 2 and it was taken care of pretty well lol and I baby all of my cameras. It has a little patina but not nearly as much as my x-pro 1
Hey together i am not a Fuji fan at the moment because i shoot with Nikon but yesterday i bought the x-pro2 for 370 swissfranks NEW! And i couldnt resist😅 now i habe a Body without lense😂. As more as i watch videos and digg deeper in the Fujiorama the more i want to buy a lens and try it out ❤
The prices of X-Pro2 bodies have skyrocketed recently and I'm so mad.... I have an X-T2 and I really prefer the ergonomics of the rangefinder. I should have bought one 6 or 8 months ago when they were going for 600-800 🙄
If you consider the xpro2 old then my xpro1 is ancient but it still takes beautiful images. I purchased the xpro2 when it came out but found that the xpro1 files were much better. There was something not right about the xpro2 when editing.
i plan on getting xpro2 or 4 next year (after i get voigtlander M 21/1.4 and zeiss M 35/1.4) for my street photo hobby. i got z50 and planned to get zf next year, and z35/1.8 the lens is soo good it makes my other lens look bad. but the footprint is not suited for casual street superfast and candid shoot. but more serious planned shoot
was contemplating buying one of the x100series cameras as a walking around camera (having owned a x100t before), but the prices have gotten ridiculous, so after some research (watching UA-cam videos) and realising that I already own a lot of lenses that would fit the xpro2 one of which is the xf23mm f2, I have just grabbed one for quite a bit less that I could of got a x100t for.
I actually own a X-E4 and a GRIIIx. However, even liking them both quite a lot, one thing bothers me. None is weather sealed. I’m travelling to Iceland and such feature could be really needed. My question is: do you think it would worth changing my X-E4 to an X-Pro2? I have a 23mm f/2 and a 35mm f/1.4 (not WR, I know) which I want to keep using. I’m not thinking about any X-T or X-H models as, first I want to keep it very portable and second, I barely do video. Thanks a lot for your advice!
Don't downgrade to the Xpro2. I have the XE4 and sold my xpro2. The xpro2 pretends to be premium but isn't. It is large and heavy for no good reason. The viewfinder is low end in terms of the eyepoint. The fatal flaw is that the EVF and LCDs are unusable (turn black) if you are shooting with polarized sunglasses as is the case when shooting in sun or bright snow. Fuji messed up with the orientation of the LCD polarizers on the Xpro2. The fixed LCD is really limiting compared to the XE4. Ignore the supposed higher camera class that Fuji wants you to believe about the Xpro2. The XE4 is overall a much better camera. Don't downgrade to the Xpro2 for one vacation just because you don't want to carry and umbrella.
@@yohan2437 thanks for the feedback, but I took my decision and went to the X-T3 with the 33mm f/1.4 and for now I don’t regret it. The fact I’m visually impaired I needed something where I could use the LCD. Besides I already own a Ricoh GRIII, so I didn’t need two portable cameras, but instead something a bit better that could handle some lenses not that tiny as the f/2 series, and mostly weather resistant. I currently live in Northern Europe, so it would not be only for a trip. Thanks a lot anyway!
Sadly the voigtlander lenses don't communicate with the x pro 1 or 2 just the 3 which is definitely missed opportunity. Itd be nice to have parallax correction with manual focus.
All lenses have the same compression. Only the crop changes. With a longer lens you can isolate the compressed parts, but they're in there even with a 35mm. It's the parts far away, no matter what lens.. or eyes. When you look at cars in a huge parking lot, it doesn't matter what lens you use, it's the cars in the far end that are compressed and hard to count. The difference is that with a 300mm you can crop out the far end, in camera so you don't have to do it in post and waste pixels.
I agree, the X-Pro 2 is hard to beat… I have the Graphite Edition, beautiful… I also swear by the X-Pro 1, I have 2 of those, used mostly with Minolta and Konica vintage lenses. Absolutely can’t justify an X-Pro 3. When you get a chance, get an X-Pro 1 if you want to get close to film look.
Partly due to your review, I just bought an x-pro2. Thanks. Also tried to buy the BEAUTIFUL wooden grip you've got, but they are unavailable now :(... If you happen to know anyone willing to part with theirs, please let me know.
A dark secret is adding the 15-45 cheapo to it ( lovingly called ‘The Fuji POS’). Outstanding quality and small&handy&light to boot. Don’t tell anyone… can be had for $100. Ssssssst….😎
Just started photography with the fujifilm x pro 2 6 months ago. Was travelling for 5 months and it was worth the purchase. I even made some money. Now I want to get a new lens or some new lenses. I have the 35 mm 1.4 lens and absolutely loving it. Any suggestions? (What do you think of the 56mm F1.2?)
One of my favorite focal lengths for portraits is 85mm and the 56mm is the equivalent. I’ve also seen good things from the 18mm 1.4 which will probably be my next lens for this upcoming trip
I'm also in process of looking for fun everyday camera to shoot in street, travel and family photos out. I hesitate between Fujifilm XT2, XT5, XPro 2. Hard to choose.
I had one, but sold it and moved to a Canon R6. I enjoyed the Pro2, except for one thing... that fiddly Shutter Speed/ISO dial. It drove me crazy. I don't like shooting in Auto ISO, and changing more than a few stops was a royal pain. It was also frustrating that you couldn't use one of the command dials (like the X-100 and X-E models) to set ISO. I know people who just used Auto ISO and made adjustments with Exposure Comp, but that didn't appeal to me. Loved that camera, except for that. (BTW, I'm actually selling the R6. Nice, but boring. Not sure what's next)
@@FilmedbyFresh Ironically, the next one turned out to be an... X-Pro2. I found a limited edition Graphite model in near perfect condition with the matching 23 f/2 lens. I'm working on my issues with the ISO dial. It's still a fiddly mess, but I just going to keep shooting until I find a comfort zone.
I really enjoy this video as xpro 2 user. This is my fun and fidgeting camera 😂 there’s something I can’t describe about it and always gravitate me even I have a full frame sony (a7c) for paid job. I’m excited about your recipe, did you apply color shift in your “Nostalgic” recipe?
Hey, thanks for watching! The X-Pro2 does have that special something, doesn't it? Can't wait to share more recipes with you in the future. I typically leave jpgs alone but edit my raws a bit, I also adjust white balance depending on the environment.
Hi, thanks for video. You are so right about the crazy prices on the X100 models. For a fixed lens camera, are you kidding me. Some great videos on using the Panasonic LUMIX GX9 with good fixed lens of your choice. For so much less money. Less than half. And you can add many good lenses and change when you want. What a crazy idea. Who wants to spend $1500 - $2000 for a single lens camera. Maybe if you have money to burn. Which most owners do not.
I don't see the hype with the x100v. I bought one for a trip. When I got home and saw the footage I immediately sold it. Maybe the next version of the X100. I'd love to see what they do with an X-Pro 4. Coming from a Canon Pro user I wanted an everyday camera to separate me from work and play and I found myself just being addicted to the speed and UI of the Canon System. So I purchased an R50 to use all of my RF Glass with. Since I edit my photos I figured I'm ok ditching recipes. I found myself wanting to edit the Fuji files which is what I wanted to stay away from.
You and me both lol it’s probably a combination of things, lack of inventory, recipes, rising films prices, etc. if it had a fixed 23 or 35mm 1.4 lens I’d like it more but eh. The possibilities for the x-pro 4 excite me but the pro 2 is meeting my needs. Like you said being able to put the work tools down and have a fun camera is valuable and brings back the fun of photography for me.
If they could firmware add the ability to have multiple white balance color shifts I’d have no qualms with it but that’s a pretty stupid qualm. I have a graphite xpro2 I got for $900 (which I thought was crazy back in like 21) and I really stopped and became a prime only let me think about my shots photographer. My wish for an x pro 4 would be ibis and more aspect ratios like 65:24. That plus the pixel shift multi shot would be awesome.
I paid $1495 for my X100V when they first came out, and it was well worth the upgrade from the X100F; but l agree, it is not worth $2095. I’ve had one and the X-pro3 is junk. Might be buying my third X-pro2.
I would’ve bought an x100v for $1500 before but the after having the pro 2 I think I’ll be a pro series user for some time until they add a faster fixed lens to the x100. If it came with an 35 or 23mm 1.4 I would buy one in a heartbeat
I’ve looked at the x pro cameras but in the end my wife got me a GFX 50SII. I’m using the film recipes that came with it but would love to try some other recipes. My question is do you add them to the camera and if so how or are they done in post on your computer. Would really love to see some videos on that
I am not the biggest fan of zoom lenses but they are invaluable in certain situations and necessary. I think it ultimately depends on your shooting scenario. If you need that flexibility to change your focal range on the fly go for it. It being a constant f2.8 throughout the range is nice and if I were to pick up a zoom lens that is a 24-70 equivalent that would be the one.
Great video! I’m currently debating whether to trade my A7C with the 40mm G lens for an X-Pro2 with the 33mm f/1.4. While the A7C is technically the better camera, it feels a bit lifeless to me-more like a tool than something inspiring to use. I also don’t enjoy editing, so the SOOC (straight out of camera) Fujifilm JPEGs are really appealing. That said, I’m unsure if the trade is worth it. I’d likely sell the 33mm right away and pick up the 27mm pancake lens since I prefer something smaller and wider. I do have plenty of presets in Lightroom that I could use with the Sony, but I’m not sure if they would give me the same satisfaction as Fuji’s JPEGs. What’s your take on this trade? Would the shooting experience and SOOC output from the X-Pro2 outweigh the technical advantages of the A7C? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Aye Fresh do you shoot both jpeg and raw so it creates the film sim jpeg but a regular raw at the same time, was curious if you've come across a red tint on your raw files, something to do with the auto WB when using B/W ,I'm getting mine in hopefully a week but just wanted to see if you've come across this?
Yeah that’s why I shoot RAW+ Fine JPG get the recipe on the JPG but still have the RAW if I wanna edit. Haven’t had any red tint thankfully, the RAW’s edit nicely
X-PRO2s are now going for well over a thousand used. Actually, prices of most used range-finder style Fujis are priced very high. Ended up getting a mint zero-shutter X-T30ii for only $500. GAME OVER. LOL.
I had the xpro 2 but unfortunately found Fuji cameras aren't for me. As I'm a Lightroom/Photoshop user and shoot raw 99% of the time, I couldnt deal with the worming effect when sharpening the images. It is a great camera otherwise.
I am 50/50 on raw vs jpg I still enjoy sitting down and editing a raw file. The RAF files from fuji have edited well in post. What's the worming effect?
@@FilmedbyFresh when you view Fuji Raf files in Photoshop at 100+% the sharpening looks like little worms. It's more an Adobe issue than Fuji but as I use Adobe for editing it was an issue for me. Do a search on Fuji worming sharpening in Photoshop or lightroom and you'll find it's a common problem.
@@FilmedbyFresh When I had my x-pro2 there were issues with all Fuji cameras when it come to sharpening. It was an adobe issue as it wasn't great for sharpening. If you looked at a RAF at 100% + it would look like the sharpening created an effect that looked like worms. It was an Adobe algorithim issue so it made editing Raf files useless in Photoshop/lightroom for me at least. I believe they may well have fixed the issue now but for a long time it was a real problem for people who shot Raf. As I've now moved to another system I'll stick with what I've got but may at some point re-purchase the x-pro2 as it really is a great camera.
Hi there First time visiting your channel all the way from Indonesia 😊 Love your contents and you're a great photographer! I hope I have the same eyes like you to be able to see some photo-worthy moments. I saw you sharing the film recipes and I can't thank you enough saving me from a lot of researches. I have 1 question/favor from you if it's at all possible. I'm actually partially color blind (certain sensitivity toward red & green or whatever it is), but taking picture is my number hobby and I just won't give up. I often get ridiculed for when I tried to edit a raw files, the end result was good to my eyes but apparently not to my in law's family. Probably I didn't see some colors that was a miss there. Anyway, I'm about to embark on my photographic journey again this time after 1 year hiatus with, unfortunately, relying on jpeg photos and quick turnaround so that I can blame the camera's color decision rather than my eyes 😂😂 (j/k). I wonder when you mentioned skin tones, can you recommend/refer/advise me to what kind of recipe that I shall follow to be able to shoot decent jpeg with these following parameters: 1. We are Asian, so Asian skin tones. Although my wife's family skins tend to be more on the yellowish (her word not my eyes) hue rather than white-er. 2. For traveling purpose, non winter days, I like to travel mostly around October, so around fall season. 3. Indoor family party/gatherings 4. Night time using just ambiance lights, bokeh beauty shots with f1. 4 lenses. Is there any recipes that you can recommend me with a knowledge that those 4 situations cover like 95% of my yearly use with a camera? I will follow and trust you blindly because I love your pictures and the vibes that I got from them are soothing my eyes. Thank you in advance, I will be purchasing either xpro 2, xh1, or xt3 within this month. Along with your film recipe suggestions, I just can't wait to get started! Anyway I hope it's not too much of a favor to ask 🙏 You gain a new subscriber and like 🙏 Cheers
thanks for commenting I am still on the hunt for an even better all around recipe I have made another video featuring some other recipes on the channel but more to come in the future.
You almost said it but I don't think you "got it." The XPro 2 will save you money in the long run... Yes, for the reason you supported. But here's what you may not be thinking, and it's the real savings. The XPro 2 will make you a better photographer if you use it in the way it was designed. You will produce more film bangers after some time on the Fuji because it will require you to push on those basic camera handling skills that film cameras require. You'll get to do this at a much higher shutter count than the cost and time of film shooting will allow. All that repetition and error recalculation will sharpen you! I found that other than film loading, my shooting proficiency and hit rate went way up after shooting with my X Pro 2 for a while. THAT will save a lot of money in wasted frames that all cost money on film.
What’s your daily walk around camera?
Contax G2

Currently the X-E4 but for some reason this camera does not click with me. Switching to the Xpro2 is on my mind. Any thought about this ‘upgrade’?
I tested the XE4 back when it first came out and this may sound shallow but the feel of it turned me off. It felt cheap to me.

It turned out that the XP2 really was my favorite Fuji camera but didn’t know it at the time. The situation has since been corrected. Nice presentation, lovely photos.
Awesome, thank you for commenting. I hope that the XP4 will be a worthy upgrade when the time comes. Til then I am loving the XP2
The X100V prices helped me resell it to fund a Leica with only a $100 loss. How f’n nuts is that? The market price gouging is insane, yet people are paying the price. The 35 1.4 with the XPRO2 is FARRRRRRRRR superior to the X100 lens as well
Mark my words you’ll return to Fujifilm soon lol
you're really giving me a better perspective on the pro 2, I was looking into the pro 3 but now that you really cleared the air on what is worth my money, I'm confident in picking up a 2 in the next few months. Love the content, please never stop :)
Thanks glad I could provide more insight! Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
I will absolutely buy another x-pro in the future ❤ (here I am watching videos reminiscing on my old camera because it was so good)
Everyone x pro 2 owner I've come across former and current say the same thing, great camera
It’s a fun camera! As someone who shot film cameras I love the analog look and the OVF is a lifesaver. Love the colors that come out of the Fuji! My only gripe is that There’s some film sims like Classic Negative from xpro 3 that I want but was able to recreate it with film recipes!
Yeah it's kinda wild that the biggest differentiator between models is the film stocks which seems like it could easily be pushed in a software update
Honest review thank you. I have a black and graphite version of XPRO2, black and graphite version of XT2 and a X100. My go to is the Black XPRO2.
Oooo that graphite is such a nice color I hope they bring it back
The founder was such a great film
Michael Keaton rarely disappoints for me. Multiplicity and Pacific Heights are two other great films from him
Great video Sir. I have X-Pro 1 and love it. Looked at the 3 and said to myself. The money saved would pay for a good overnight trip. It did & no regrets.
X-Pro 1 is the only digital camera I’ve used that really emulates film. Good pick up
My Xpro 2 is with me daily i really love the camera.
Discontinued film stocks is another reason these fuji cameras are so coveted. The recipes are endless
Glad to hear it! This camera has done the same for me as well 🙏🏾
I just bought a used XPro2 plus 18-55 and the 1.4 35mm is on my wish list. I'm still getting used to the camera but I will definitely try out the recipes, thanks for these.
Anytime 🤙🏾 the new 18mm 1.4 or the 18mm f2 are on my wishlist.
Love your page already. Can’t wait to see more fuji content
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
This video got my attention. I have sold my Fuji gear but now I want to reconsider. Thanks for posting.
Looks like Fuji gear is calling you back. Resistance is futile!
Bruh! It was literally between the X100v and X-pro2 for me. Thanks for clarifying dude...
Same here😅
@@FilmedbyFreshI daily a x pro 2 and with a xf 35 f1.2 and a Ricoh Gr3, I would choose this combo over having a x100v any day of the week, they're literally just better and anyone who says otherwise is simply delusional
Owner xpro2 graphite here, bought one NIB 3 months ago. With 23/2. Amazing pictures ( compliments all around) and I do own a X-H1…….
Man that graphite is NICE!
It sure is, bought another XPro2 in black two days ago😀
Finally a photographer that knows what hes talking about, thanks
Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏾
Yo fresh, that markup is crazy bruh💯 keep up the great work
I agree, the X-Pro2 is a better overall camera than the X-Pro3, IMHO; especially the optical viewfinder. Here's hoping we get the X-Pro4 soon!
Really hoping a pro 4 is on the way just to see the line continue to progress, the pro2 is prolly gonna stay in my collection and be passed down.
I’m loving my X-Pro 2! Very fun camera to shoot with!
It's brought back the fun for me too
Just wanted to let you know you are a standout.
That’s amazing, I gotta try infrared photography. Appreciate you joining the convo and the journey
About two months ago I picked up one in mint condition… I love it… I use it with the 35mmf2. I just throw it in a bag and go.
The f2 lenses are also clutch I have the 23mm f2
I love my X-Pro2, it is my main camera. I agree to its value, also in relation to the X-Pro3
I wonder if we will see an x-pro 4 at x summit next month
@@FilmedbyFresh me too, but rumours don’t indicate sofar
Excellent Video Man, with some beautiful images, (with beautiful colour ! ). I will deffo look out first one … Thanks !
Thank you glad you enjoyed the content
I purchased a Xpro 3 two years back, got a great price too.
I thought the same that it would be my fun camera, to go with my workhorse full frame Canon R5.
Nowadays the Xpro 3 is my go too camera, I absolutely love it!
Feels such much more fun and creative to use, not to mention it can go everywhere with you without breaking your back 😂
The Fuji pro 56mm (85mm equivalent) f1.2 is also stunning, great in low light but with an ND works superb in the day too.
I love 85mm focal length great for portraits. That 56mm is on my list
Thanks for making this video.
I’m looking for a great travel/family camera. Made it late to the X100V party, and I’m not paying double for it. I really dig the style of the X Pro line. Found some good deals on an X Pro 2 recently. Sounds like it may be the right next camera for me.
Your won’t be disappointed it’s a fun camera, thanks for watching 🙏🏾
That was a wonderful video presentation. I have a Fujifilm X Pro 2 camera also, and I love it.😊
Thanks for watching glad you like the video 🙏🏾
Few examples of prices in Europe compared to a few month ago:
X-E1s used to be pretty cheap, around 170/200€, now good luck findingnone under 300. (X-Pro 1 was around 400, maybe 450 now but didn't move much)
X-E2 and X-E2S used to be 250ish/300, now you see some grtting in the 500/550 territory which is completely nuts.
Even worse, you could get an X-E3 for about 500, now the prices are going up to the 700+ (saw some around 800 even)
Meanwhile cameras that do not bear that much of a ressemblance with the X100/X-Pro/X-E series like the X-T or X-H cameras are getting pretty low, especially for the performance.
I'm thinking in particular about cameras like the X-T2 and X-T20 that are seeing prices as low as 450€, which is crazy compared to X-E3 prices
All of that to say that if you don't mind the EVF (which is actually good in these Fujis) youl can end up paying less a camera that is sometimes considerably better (especially if we compare like X-T2 to X-Pro2/E3 or X-T1 to X-E2)
The market is wild right now especially for the fuji cameras I agree anything retro in appearance is getting a huge mark up
Yup, bought an X-E3 in the UK last year for £375 and sold it recently for just over £500, then got an X-T3 for £450. Bonkers.
Leveled up for sure lol
Yeah it is annoying on the pro-3 that they removed the OVF diopters, but its because they made the overall viewfinder bigger, I just wish they couldve done it without removing the 18mm framelines
I was able to buy a new one last year for $720. That was a steal and I also have the 35mm f1.4 with it. So much character. The only issue for me is the lack of IBIS which makes shooting at night difficult as it's not really a camera to be used with a tripod
That’s a crazy deal, I think the next version will have IBIS for sure
Good pickup. Try the kit 18-55mm kit lens for OIS. It is almost the same size as the 35mm f1.4.

@@FilmedbyFresh I don’t blame you one bit! 😂💯
I couldn’t agree more. You’ve also got me interested in the 35mm f1.4. I’ve heard someone else saying the exact same about it.
the 35mm 1.4 has been my go to I also have the 23mm f2 and I am probably gonna grab the 18mm f2 soon but the 35mm has that look I need. I just looked it up on amazon and they have a used one in “‘good” condition going for $425 which is a good deal, left a link in the description for you.
The 35 1.4 is a gem! It’s the first Fuji lens I bought and I’ll never get rid of it. It renders just beautifully.
@@PaulGuy1954 completely agree
The xpro2 has one of my favourite cameras to owm. The sensor back then was more punchy in colour and contrast. That said, when I sold it and when I see it today, it still sells for the same price it was when it was brand new.
They seem to have held up well over the years. I think I’ll hold on to this one for a while 🤙🏾 thanks for watching
great video, i have X-Pro1 and considering the 2
Thanks 🙏🏾 I have the X-Pro1 as well, and my wife uses it currently and is starting off with photography both great cameras
I love my X-Pro 2 and it is my Main Street camera. I don't even consider upgrading it or whatsover!
What lenses are you using mainly?
@@FilmedbyFresh 23mm and 35mm f2... The Fujicrons :)
@@MehmetUgur dope combo I’ve been thinking about grabbing the 18mm f2 just to have something a little wider.
@@FilmedbyFresh I have been thinking about that lens too. Especially, it is tempting due to its pancake sizs📸
Yeah the size is tempting, I was also thinking about having the 7artisans ufo lens for the same reason
As more as i watch videos and digg deeper in the Fujiorama the more i want to buy a lens and try it out ❤
The 35mm 1.4 is the goat lens to start with
I have this exact set up - body and lens. It's so dope. I need video though, thought of swapping for XT4. After this video I won't sell it.
If they put the xh2s sensor in the X-Pro4 with some of those video features like open gate, high frame rates, etc that would be amazing
The prices of X-Pro2 bodies have skyrocketed recently and I'm so mad.... I have an X-T2 and I really prefer the ergonomics of the rangefinder. I should have bought one 6 or 8 months ago when they were going for 600-800 🙄
Yeah prices for everything have gone up quite a bit. I would check offer up and fb marketplace I find some deals there sometimes
If you consider the xpro2 old then my xpro1 is ancient but it still takes beautiful images. I purchased the xpro2 when it came out but found that the xpro1 files were much better. There was something not right about the xpro2 when editing.
My wife is using my xpro1 still a great camera that I’ll keep in the fam for awhile
Great video! I shoot Nikon professionally but grab the Fujifilm X E3 or 4 whenever I want to go light, which means all the time I’m not working!
Having a fun camera is important need that separation from work
I bought the xt2 for the half the Price. Great Build quality Same sensor. Cheers
Good choice!
i plan on getting xpro2 or 4 next year (after i get voigtlander M 21/1.4 and zeiss M 35/1.4) for my street photo hobby. i got z50 and planned to get zf next year, and z35/1.8 the lens is soo good it makes my other lens look bad. but the footprint is not suited for casual street superfast and candid shoot. but more serious planned shoot
I’m also looking forward to the x pro 4 but the 2 will stay with me forever
Great video, im a X-Pro1 shooter and i'm looking for a X-Pro2 or X-Pro3.
Sometimes I think snot finding a 3 just to complete the trio lol
was contemplating buying one of the x100series cameras as a walking around camera (having owned a x100t before), but the prices have gotten ridiculous, so after some research (watching UA-cam videos) and realising that I already own a lot of lenses that would fit the xpro2 one of which is the xf23mm f2, I have just grabbed one for quite a bit less that I could of got a x100t for.
I personally prefer the pro series because of the interchangeable lens. The fixed lens on the x100v doesn’t do it for me
I actually own a X-E4 and a GRIIIx.
The X-Pro2 seems like it would solve your dilemma, I love it and don't think you would regret that swap
Dang 😢 thanks for sharing
All lenses have the same compression. Only the crop changes. With a longer lens you can isolate the compressed parts, but they're in there even with a 35mm. It's the parts far away, no matter what lens.. or eyes. When you look at cars in a huge parking lot, it doesn't matter what lens you use, it's the cars in the far end that are compressed and hard to count. The difference is that with a 300mm you can crop out the far end, in camera so you don't have to do it in post and waste pixels.
Thanks for adding to the convo 🙏🏾
Bought mine in 2016 still use it alongside my gfx50s.
Still going strong
I've never shot Fuji, would love to try one day
Good fun creative camera bro, recipes are fun
Great review 👏 thank you !
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
I enjoyed your presentation, and I am looking for an x-pro2. Can you post information on the hand grip?
Glad you like the content 🙏🏾 the link to the grip is in the description 🤙🏾😉
I agree, the X-Pro 2 is hard to beat… I have the Graphite Edition, beautiful… I also swear by the X-Pro 1, I have 2 of those, used mostly with Minolta and Konica vintage lenses. Absolutely can’t justify an X-Pro 3. When you get a chance, get an X-Pro 1 if you want to get close to film look.
I also have an x-pro1 it’s definitely the closest thing to film thats not film lol
Partly due to your review, I just bought an x-pro2. Thanks. Also tried to buy the BEAUTIFUL wooden grip you've got, but they are unavailable now :(... If you happen to know anyone willing to part with theirs, please let me know.
Congrats! Hope you capture some cool moments with it
A dark secret is adding the 15-45 cheapo to it ( lovingly called ‘The Fuji POS’). Outstanding quality and small&handy&light to boot. Don’t tell anyone… can be had for $100. Ssssssst….😎
nice I’ll have to check that one out 🫣🤫
Just started photography with the fujifilm x pro 2 6 months ago.
Choosing a camera is like choosing a partner; you have to find the one that makes you smile every time you use it!
I tell so many people to grab an older X series body instead of the X100V at mark up! I love my x100v but the xpro 2 graphite is my grail still
Also followed! Welcome to the fuji gang, lemme know if you have any questions 👌
Thanks glad to be here 🙏🏾 that graphite is beautiful if I find one for a good price I may grab it
Great video!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Bro got good vibes. Subscribed my bro
Thanks for the sub!
Lol good luck finding the next one!
@tomscott4438 that graphite is beautiful
Who needs to break the bank for a camera when you can get one that works just as well for half the price? More money for accessories, am I right?
I traded a black x100f for a graphite xpro2
Best trade ever!!
that graphite is beautiful!
I have the XT5 for work and will a back up camera with me
Is it an idea to get the x pro 2 next my XT5 camera?
That’s not the worst idea, you have a different look with the older sensor
How’s video? I’m looking for a Fuji for edc but also start videos again want an all in one sort of
Video not so good it’ll shoot 4k but no log or high color bit depth. XH2 or xH2S for video
great video bro!
🙏🏾 thanks bro!
Your film is wow.

What base plate with grip is that? Super cool.
Thanks the link is in the description
If they could firmware add the ability to have multiple white balance color shifts I’d have no qualms with it but that’s a pretty stupid qualm. I have a graphite xpro2 I got for $900 (which I thought was crazy back in like 21) and I really stopped and became a prime only let me think about my shots photographer. My wish for an x pro 4 would be ibis and more aspect ratios like 65:24. That plus the pixel shift multi shot would be awesome.
Man that graphite looks so good.
Great video. Thanks.

I'm new to photography, and I'm considering purchasing an X-Pro 2.What do you think of the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 when used with an X-Pro 2?
I am not the biggest fan of zoom lenses but they are invaluable in certain situations and necessary. I think it ultimately depends on your shooting scenario. If you need that flexibility to change your focal range on the fly go for it. It being a constant f2.8 throughout the range is nice and if I were to pick up a zoom lens that is a 24-70 equivalent that would be the one.
fuji guy myself. regarding film, at least for film, bulk 250d
Good stuff
Just ordered an X-pro2, im pretty excited lol
P.S that X100V on eBay for $649 in 0:33 is actually crazy, like how is that possible lmao
Congrats on the X-Pro2! and someone lucked up on that deal lol
I have the Fuji XPR0 2 picture profile on my Nikon D5500
Sounds like a cool combo
@@FilmedbyFresh Yes it is especially with the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-F4 lens
Better question ... should I buy a spare one, for when mine breaks beyond repair?
lol nothing wrong with a spare
Aye Fresh do you shoot both jpeg and raw so it creates the film sim jpeg but a regular raw at the same time, was curious if you've come across a red tint on your raw files, something to do with the auto WB when using B/W ,I'm getting mine in hopefully a week but just wanted to see if you've come across this?
Yeah that’s why I shoot RAW+ Fine JPG get the recipe on the JPG but still have the RAW if I wanna edit. Haven’t had any red tint thankfully, the RAW’s edit nicely
Ilove the L plate with wood grip. Could you tell me the brand is?
Thanks, it’s linked in the description 👍🏾
should i buy a xpro1 (in the neighborhood is a guy selling without lens) is there a big difference in between this two cameras?
There is a pretty big difference in resolution and eye af. Also you get classic chrome in the pro 2
I hate realizing that those movies you listed are "old"...
lol let’s use the word “classic“
Xpro 2 with range finder type manual lens 🤤
I see allot of people using the 7Atrisan lenses
Try the original x100 - even more 'filmlike' than the xpro2. Way less capable but if you're coming from film, it don't matter
Cool tip! I'll definitely check out the original x100 for that authentic film vibe.
X-PRO2s are now going for well over a thousand used. Actually, prices of most used range-finder style Fujis are priced very high. Ended up getting a mint zero-shutter X-T30ii for only $500. GAME OVER. LOL.
That’s a good find, I got the pro 2 at the right time
I had the xpro 2 but unfortunately found Fuji cameras aren't for me.
Hi there
First time visiting your channel all the way from Indonesia 😊
Love your contents and you're a great photographer!
I wonder when you mentioned skin tones, can you recommend/refer/advise me to what kind of recipe that I shall follow to be able to shoot decent jpeg with these following parameters:
1. We are Asian, so Asian skin tones. Although my wife's family skins tend to be more on the yellowish (her word not my eyes) hue rather than white-er.
2. For traveling purpose, non winter days, I like to travel mostly around October, so around fall season.
3. Indoor family party/gatherings
Anyway I hope it's not too much of a favor to ask 🙏
You gain a new subscriber and like 🙏

thanks for commenting I am still on the hunt for an even better all around recipe I have made another video featuring some other recipes on the channel but more to come in the future.
Well said! Thanks for contributing to the conversation 🙏🏾
Your thought on x pro 1 ?
Gives a great alternative to film, if it had chrome and face detection I wouldn't have picked up the x-pro 2
