It’s good to see you again. I’ve been watching for nearly 10 years now. Wolf has gotten big, blessings to you brother!
Wolf seems so much more mature than 1 yr! He’s gonna be a great companion and live to 35! Be well, Joe and family!

I live in Connecticut (U.S.A) and we have the smoke from all the fires going on in Canada. It's crazy when you go outside and smell the smoke form a 1,000 miles away. Be safe my friend and hope everyone makes it through unscathed.

I carry salt, black pepper, crushed red pepper, sugar, cinnamon, garlic powder in collored or labeled straws by the tsp & small bottle of hot sauce. Sometimes I take additional cinnamon and sugar when I take a bag of all purpose flour for sweet bannock.

Nice that your back out with Wolf, ya the smoke from the wildfires really suck my way it smells like plastic. What an awesome backcountry camping exploration video. Wolfie sure has got better in the canoe he seems much more relaxed now what an epic Brook trout beautiful color. loved the sound of the peeper's in the evening how realaxing is that In all a very excellent video always a joy watching your backcountry videos, great to hear the family is well now.

I love how each dog we own can teach us something new. This one is gonna come with lots of lessons in love and life. He is amazing. And soooo smart for his age.

There was actually this collection of sattelite images going around in twitter a little while back that seemed to show that all those forest fires started at the same time across a massive area. Like you could see from the images how plumes of more started rising all around at the same exact time.

I loved it as you guys were heading back to camp towards the end & Wolf peered over the edge & seemed he was wondering "Are we back at Camp yet?" HA! And that look he had after you let that fish go! Yeah, you read him right then. Was like "Whaaaa...?" Awesome area for sure & glad you both got something out of the trip.

Woolfie is a dog to be reckoned with. He’s a true companion who is looking out for you as much as you are looking out for him. He’s solid. He’s a formative dog. Unlike other dogs you’ve had, each with their own gifts, he has his own. I’m nuts about this guy, really. Congrats on the amazing fish! This has been one of my most favorite videos from over the years. A great trip. Happy to hear the family is well, too. Thanks for letting us tag along. I so enjoyed this video. I really like the idea of having a large tarp like your Nortent and a small sleeping tent under the tarp thats got lots of mesh for ventilation with no fly.
After several treks across mountains and rivers, you and wolf finally found a habitat. Wolf is just like his name, brave and fearless, he is like a leader. What a great partner for outdoor adventures!

Great camping trip with Wolfey and huge fish. That was definitely wildfire smoke in the sky. We had it here in Wisconsin so bad that we had the worst air quality in the WORLD for a day or two. Came from the Canadian wildfires. Wolfey has gotten more mature and is a good camping dog. Glad to hear your family has recovered from the flu. Best wishes.
We could not see them on the camera, but I feel your pain. Voyeaguers National Park on the Bourdary Waters every is a trip, you never know what you're in for. Black flies always suck, as there's nothing you can do but suit up.

We found it just as weird when we heard about the huge amount of fires burning in Canada, knowing only a week and at most two weeks ago everything was still covered in snow and ice. We just couldn't understand how they can say it was so severely dry and that is why it's burning yet snow and ice = water = very wet when melting. Weird! Love that beautiful dog!❤ Thanks for sharing.

Haha! Well, southern England and just followed my dream and bought a little sailboat (old but seaworthy). Years ago, you inspired me to adventure so I'm following my calling, got my 'day skipper' ticket - and dragging my family along kicking and screaming! Haha! This trip was so much more like your trips with Scout. I am so happy to see how Wolf is finding his rythem with you. He was a perfect companion on this trip and bonus fish! That Brookie looked more like a freakin good size for a Salmon than a trout!
Mom and dad went on vacation. I stayed with my uncle and his wife. Bicycle range. Had to feed dogs , hog , and pony. I trained 3 hounds to sit on top of the dog house while feeding them. Everyone thought I was a genious. But hounds will do anything for something to eat.

In the states most forest fires are started by our forest service themselves, probably same up there. Seems like your fires started very early in the season.
