Oh, it's another happy Sunday! Time to hit the "like" button, then watch. Thanks so much to Matt and Monty--hands down, the best adventure duo around--for taking us along. Yippee!!! 🛶
That light show during the last 30ish minutes would make the best looped video, I could listen to that almost every night. Such an excellent adventure from start to finish. Thank you again for the video. As always, I'll be looking forward to the next. ♡
The lightning reminds me of watching storms roll in off lake Ontario while at our cottage in NY. I loved it. Thanks for bringing back fond family memories.
This was exactly how intense lightning thunderstorm I saw going over our area and neighborhood in the middle of the night so loud a stream of zigzaging streaks of lightning looking like Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars using the dark sith powers, and they seemed to shrink...LITERALLY COLLAPSED AND COLALACE back into one point that caused a boom 💥 soooo $#%^@! WORLD ENDINGLY LOUD that the whole neighborhood not just our house violently shook like a strong brief earthquake was happening!!! OH MY GOD it was very scary 😨!!!!
Matthew, those 'bubbly' clouds are called mammatus. Usually they are forming under thunderstorm cloud so if you see those it means that storm is coming!
Love the extended versions too! 90% of UA-cam channels feel like someone trying to cram content into this magic ten minute window but it’s so jarring and unnecessary. If they are making something good and interesting then there’s no need for all that drama- love relaxing on this channel!
Dude I've been looking forward to this episode all week. My Dad finally succumbed to the cancer a couple of days ago. Then I tipped my new kayak yesterday, So I definitely need to watch a video that is guaranteed to bring a smile to my face. Cheers Matt.
It amazes me at the work you put into your videos! It definitely shows in your finished product and it’s greatly appreciated, thank you. My 4 year old daughter ask to watch Monty all the time. When we hike, I tell her to stay on the trail like Monty.
Love the " underwater" scenes. Hilarious!! Looks like you guys are having a great trip so far. Oh I might invest in a new paddle!! Give the Monty a pet from Igor the Mastiff and Princess the Great Dane please. Cheers!
Crazy stay-cation week for me. I got home last night from the lake and settled in to relax and watch your video. I feel asleep 30 minutes into it when I think you were catching a fish (not because it was not a riviting video, but because I was soooo tired from a busy week)... Slow day at work today, I may just shut the office door and tune in again as I sit and fidget at my desk. For sure finish it up this evening when home in the mancave. I like the longer videos. Heading to Waupaca and the CHAIN-O-LAKES in a few weeks. There are actually some fairly nice trout streams out in that part of Wisconsin, so while the wife visits with family in the area I a plan to hot some streams and some smaller lakes.
This is fantastic. I have my day all planned out now. Relax and enjoy watching you and Monte enjoying the outdoors. Have a great day to all of you out there.
Another superb video Matt, thank you for sharing your trip with us. Warmed my heart so much when you were jumping up & down with excitement at the thought of the storm that was a coming 😄. 3 hours of great entertainment 👍😃🙋🏼♀️, love & hugs 💙🫂
Outstanding video, particularly the storm footage. I loved your commentary showing the natural human reaction to something so humbling. Thank you for continuing to show your adventures, you have been a means of escape during the last couple of years of global madness. Thank you for sharing your adventures and keep doing it for as long as it's fun x
Boy you got the storm get your beloved Monty and huddle in your tent. Two peas in a pod. I always carry rubber mats and use when a bad storm crops up when I camp. Works like tires on a car to stay grounded.this was one of your best and all your videos are great, glad you got thru the storm and another event that you and your beloved Monty.
those underwater shots looked real that's some good editing, Monty is the best! and there is no such thing as heat lightening the storm is just too far away to hear the thunder this was great storm scenery so awesome!
I know it has been said many times, your ability to anticipate what you will film and how you will edit, in order to tell a story/make a gag or simply allow us to experience to some degree the beauty of the nature around you is something special. I especially love the transitions.
I absolutely agree, that's one of the things that amazes me. He's incredibly skilled at that. The transitions are very clever & work really well. The amount of thought, imagination & pure hard work he puts into the ' Walk-by ' shots as well is phenomenal.
The dedication it takes to a running joke (the pouring of water to make it sound like peeing) was outstanding lol And Monty being a food monster was delightful.
Mother nature is the best healer. This video literally cures depression.🙏That thunderstorm was crazy. Over here in UK we get a handful of strikes per storm! Thank you sensirely.
I knew your bird was a Northern Flicker as soon as you said it had yellow on the wings. The eastern population is "yellow-shafted", while the western population is "red-shafted".. That thunderstorm was worth the week's wait! Epic electrical storm, butI was trying to get you in the tent sooner, as lightning can travel up to 20 miles from the thunderstorm. Glad you and Monty stayed safe, and great camera work, as usual!
Doubled up on a Larry catch. Dammit. You earned it. That gave me a hankering for a fish dinner. That was one awesome light show over the wilderness. Would hate to sleep through that monster storm in a tent. There has to be some raging winds with that beast. And you can see a thick rain core during those flashes as the storm approaches. It’s crazy how quiet that storm is, as it approaches. …This. Is. So. Cool. …Heat lightening. No such thing. It’s a storm in the distance where the glow of lightening is only seen on the horizon. Usually most visible during early evening, as it’s getting dark. When you see “heat lightening” at home, bust out your smartphone and launch a weather radar app for your area. You’ll see the storm on radar…
Then again as I say ...you should win an Academy Award! Your so funny. But I learn a lot about fishing from you. And Monty is described to my family as my dog!! Lol lol
Great I am ready to enjoy this video on a nice Sunday quality camping videos give your dogs a hug for me. A beautiful location and a great way to relax and enjoy life while we learn safe camping skills. I checked and I got my notice this time. You have a nice neat clean campsite, which is important, Montie as usually very well behaved
Loved the back camera POV of you rowing....makes me feel like I'm in the back with Monty! The baby stingray and shark footage was crazy! And the lightning show was spectacular!! 😊 Have a great week, Matt!
I'm a little late starting this, just found out on Monday that my 10 year old chihuahua has an aggressive lymphatic cancer. I'm thankful for the video for helping to distract me for a few hours.
wow what a storm glad you're alright holy crap on a cracker! Didn't expect to see a stingray and a shark? Electrifying!Great fishing nice larry dinners.Awesome .
Matt and Monty, you are living my dream to be able to fish and camp often and enjoying yourself. I really appreciate what you get to do. I wish I could get out more often.
The bird at 2:47:05 is a Northern Flicker. I believe they're in the woodpecker family. I see them all the time around my area in Southern Maine. Also, those "crazy clouds" at 2:53:00 are called Mammatus Clouds. They form from the cold air at the top of a thunderstorm. Since cold air is denser than warmer air, it wants to sink, so it shows that as it comes through the clouds. Finally, much of the lightning that looks like it's crawling between 2:57:40 - 3:15:25 is called "Spider Lightning" or "Anvil Crawlers" They look like they're crawling on the underside of the highest part of a thunderstorm, the anvil.
Mepps "Black Fury" orange with no fur #3. Its vibrates and also has the flash that fish love. Have caught large mouth bass and trout many years on that lure.
Ha ha that was the best wood-chopping process I've ever seen...usually skip past them on other channels but yours are so funny! I love this channel so much...always so positive. Delighted that you're back out...
Oh My Gosh Matthew!! Sure hope that You & Monty faired well through the STORM ~ YIKES Honestly, I have Never seen Lightening like that before. It was Beautiful, but very Frightening. The intervals of flashes & Bolts , well they were fast & furious. I'll admit, I was worried about You & Monty. Now I have to wait an entire week to find out if You're alright. The second half ( part 2 ) was really Awesome. Really cool streams & beaver dams. It was really cool that you finally caught your first Larry and shortly after caught your 2nd Larry. Nice size ! I was so happy for you as you reeled it on in. Chartreuse Slayer #6. You know something, I enjoyed the overcast on & off again raindrops. Sometimes they say the fish will be biting more. Sorry to see the injury you received to your right knee ~ OYE VEH!! OUCH!! Loved hearing the Loons, and birds chirping. Very Awesome Matthew!! Great Job. Can't wait til I can watch Part 1, 2, & 3 straight through, Stay Safe and Hydrated out there. I really can't believe how much I Loved this video. I'll be anxiously awaiting part 3. Thank You Matthew Your work is to be honored. ❣
I'm a big fan of your constant dedication to absolute buffoonery. Getting wild with your oatmeal to shuffling your map around for no good reason. Lol 🤣
Hahahaha nice little close up of the sting ray and the shark! Looks like an awesome camping trip! That lightning and thunder at the end almost had me asleep, wow!!! Love it
I really love watching the under water Monty shots. Adorable. I cant wait for Fall and Winter. Watching you deal with all the bugs makes me feel so bad for you guys. I was just thinking i would love to sit and watch the storm come in and then you pulled out your chair. Great minds think alike. The lightning was really cool. Hugs to both of you.
I make a weeks worth of oatmeal without cooking by just putting rolled oats, pecans, and whatever liquid you want: milk, almond milk, coconut water into a plastic tub or mason jar. Then I refrigerate it. When you’re ready to eat pull some out and top it with coconut sugar or sugar. Then add fruit or coconut. You’ve already got pecans in it. So good. Especially if you have psoriasis like me I recommend getting away from that packaged food with a ton of sugar. You can add sweetness with coconut sugar or maple syrup. I promise you it will be so much better and you won’t have to cook. I eat it cold but you can warm up your individual serving.
Montys very calm in thunderstorms. Our 5 dogs 🐕 turn into jibbering idiots when there's a thunderstorm. I love storms but stress for the dogs. They are also petrified of crackers, so many pets are, yet some folks shoot them off anyway without regard to animals. So glad you're enjoying Mother Natures moods. Hehe. Cheers 🍻
Via your video, I (we all) got to experience a tremendous lightning storm! This storm with lightning was spectacular! Thank you for videotaping this storm! Very spectacular!
Loved Loved Loved it. Larrys, Sir Monty, the Matt, a bodacious storm with rolling thunder and pouring rain, neat. Looking forward to the conclusion. Peace.
I also remember calling it heat lightning as a child..."Heat lightning, known as silent lightning, summer lightning, or dry lightning, is a misnomer used for the faint flashes of lightning on the horizon or other clouds from distant thunderstorms that do not appear to have accompanying sounds of thunder. Wikipedia." I just went wild swimming in a Wisconsin lake with a storm on the horizon and said the same thing "nature's entertainment". Such a great sky show!
I was getting so much anxiety with this video about the fish.....I don't usually get this worked up about a video, but it was going to absolutely devastating to me if he didn't get a good trout dinner ...and then while he was talking to us and not watching over the fish, I was in mild panic mode just convinced a four legged creature was running off with it because we have seen it so many times before on here. 😆
Thank you so much for sharing the thunderstorm. I am originally from the Oklahoma and Missouri area and much those storms so much. That one is a very intense storm. Love it.. Wow
Got up this morning and thought part 2 will be on today of another cool adventure and I was right! Awesome thunderstorm complemented this one! Cannot wait till next Sunday. Thanks again Matthew and Monty😊
First 3 hours: Nice, relaxing camping and fishing trip with the goodest boy and a couple a Larries. Last 20 minutes: God damn War of the Worlds, I half expected Tri-pods to start blasting you.
I am going to add a little bit more about this video...OH MY GOSH! That thunder storm!! I loved it! Every time a huge strike would hit, I would yell......at the same time you did..my husb. and I would laugh. That was GREAT! Thanks again.
Love me some Bongo-Monty!🐾🐾 Great fun Matt! Matt when your out on the water you pick up those fantastic skies on your video also! Just so rich in color...like a painting. Monty underwater is great to see......He is so beautiful. I was cheering when you got your "Larry's" for dinner. Good job!👍🏞️🌄🐾⛵🐟🐠🦆
Monty is such a chilled out dude, really good of Matthew to take Monty everywhere he wants to go. Monty and Nuke our Great Pyrenean, who is also very chilled out, would get on well I'm sure. The pike you caught reminded me of a time many years ago when I was around 10 years old and fishing from a spit on a lake. I'd caught a small perch and was bring it in and a pike came and ripped it off the hook and carried it away, life I suppose. Looking forward to part 3, take care, have fun you pair.
Oh, it's another happy Sunday! Time to hit the "like" button, then watch. Thanks so much to Matt and Monty--hands down, the best adventure duo around--for taking us along. Yippee!!! 🛶
This is genuinely one of my top 3 UA-cam channels ever
That light show during the last 30ish minutes would make the best looped video, I could listen to that almost every night.
Such an excellent adventure from start to finish. Thank you again for the video. As always, I'll be looking forward to the next. ♡
NATure Puts on shows for Free Huh?❤
The slo-mo wood splitting was awesome
The lightning reminds me of watching storms roll in off lake Ontario while at our cottage in NY. I loved it. Thanks for bringing back fond family memories.
I know what you mean. I used to go salmon fishing in a town in up state new York called Pulaski and they got huge thunderstorms.
Matthew, those 'bubbly' clouds are called mammatus. Usually they are forming under thunderstorm cloud so if you see those it means that storm is coming!
Love me some cumulonimbus clouds though.
I saw those once right before a huge storm amd wind passed and a lightning struck our housemand we had no power for like the whole day lol
And the "mamm" part is related to "mammary" - i.e. boobies, because those mammatus clouds, well, they look like boobs.
X
When the butter is hot and browned, it sweetens and almost caramelizes and is the outstanding flavor you taste on that beautiful piece of fish!
Great video, I really enjoy these lengthy videos. It's like watching a long movie.👍
Is your real name Steve?
Agree!! LOVE The extended version videos! Honestly i wish they were longer! Haha❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Love the extended versions too! 90% of UA-cam channels feel like someone trying to cram content into this magic ten minute window but it’s so jarring and unnecessary. If they are making something good and interesting then there’s no need for all that drama- love relaxing on this channel!

Aww honey I’m so sorry! My condolences!
♡
So sorry .

beautiful dogs ! but monty is absolutely gorgeous! love your videos matt!
It amazes me at the work you put into your videos! It definitely shows in your finished product and it’s greatly appreciated, thank you. My 4 year old daughter ask to watch Monty all the time. When we hike, I tell her to stay on the trail like Monty.
Matthew you are my number one favorite outdoor channel 😃🐕👍
The dedication to detail for the viewing audience gets better every video. Great channel and great material.
First part was so fun to watch!!! Happy Sunday Matthew and Monty, thanks again for sharing your adventures. Cheers all!
I'm "all up in there" on this video!!! Thanks Matthew and Monty! Hope all is well and cheers my friend!!
Love the " underwater" scenes. Hilarious!! Looks like you guys are having a great trip so far. Oh I might invest in a new paddle!! Give the Monty a pet from Igor the Mastiff and Princess the Great Dane please. Cheers!
Have a "smooth-collie, mastif" mix. Following.
MVP!!! I ADORE our trips. Thank you so much for inviting me to come along. This video is a KEEPER! ⚡🌪🌨🌩!
Nail biter and a toe curler to be sure!
The thunderstorm, the Larrys, the water pouring that sounds like pee, the log remix, …
Everything was incredible, thanks for the video Matt ! 🙏
Those mosquitos would literally drive me insane I would be cursing up a storm lol
Monty yawning and smiling…..look at those teeth! Healthy set of choppers!
I love your videos, the adventures, the bond you and Monty have. Thanks for sharing

Who else here says
"Soupy" every time Matthew and Monty get breakfast going?!! :)
I say it a lot when I'm cooking now. When anything is "soupy" hahaha. My son and I have lots of sayings from The Matthew! ❤️❤️❤️
Every damn time 😂
I have oatmeal every morning and its an automatic
Another superb video Matt, thank you for sharing your trip with us. Warmed my heart so much when you were jumping up & down with excitement at the thought of the storm that was a coming 😄.
3 hours of great entertainment 👍😃🙋🏼♀️, love & hugs 💙🫂

Thank you for sharing more of your and Monty's adventure..
those underwater shots looked real that's some good editing, Monty is the best! and there is no such thing as heat lightening the storm is just too far away to hear the thunder this was great storm scenery so awesome!
I love when Monty starts swinging the stick like a bat. He waits for you to get close and he starts.
Monty is such a cool drum lots of rhythm.
I know it has been said many times, your ability to anticipate what you will film and how you will edit, in order to tell a story/make a gag or simply allow us to experience to some degree the beauty of the nature around you is something special. I especially love the transitions.

I like to watch these while I go to sleep and I was nice a snug in my bed until that scene 😂
the 'blue sklys' always makes me laugh too
Monty getting towel dried 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think he loves it so much ❤️
Wow thank you so much for sharing your adventure... and the lightening storm was amazing... you really captured it.
Mother nature is the best healer. This video literally cures depression.🙏That thunderstorm was crazy. Over here in UK we get a handful of strikes per storm! Thank you sensirely.
I just love your videos and how much love you have for your doggies I just absolutely love it !!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My partner is out sick today so I'm introducing her to your videos, We watched pt 1 Friday and just now she goes "Hey babe. Pt 2 is up).
Monty is such a chill dog. Great companion and just so cute. Thank you for the adventure. And wow that storm
I knew your bird was a Northern Flicker as soon as you said it had yellow on the wings. The eastern population is "yellow-shafted", while the western population is "red-shafted"..
…This. Is. So. Cool.

I never want this video to stop. Beautiful as always ! :)
Awesome storm Lord Praise Thanks and Glory!
Then again as I say ...you should win an Academy Award! Your so funny. But I learn a lot about fishing from you. And Monty is described to my family as my dog!! Lol lol
What a storm!
Just never get tired of watching your videos. Another amazing adventure. Thanks🤗🤭🥰
That water when you're canoeing Mr Matthews sounds so peaceful it just takes you to another world
Great I am ready to enjoy this video on a nice Sunday quality camping videos give your dogs a hug for me. A beautiful location and a great way to relax and enjoy life while we learn safe camping skills. I checked and I got my notice this time. You have a nice neat clean campsite, which is important, Montie as usually very well behaved
Still love the log song! Always my favorite part, lol
03:05:00 the opposite of blue sklies. That’s absolutely amazing.

Matt and Monty, you are living my dream to be able to fish and camp often and enjoying yourself. I really appreciate what you get to do. I wish I could get out more often.
Hey, Matthew and First Mate Monty! Thanks for new firewood rap! And that thunderstorm at the end was 🤌🏼💋
The bird at 2:47:05 is a Northern Flicker. I believe they're in the woodpecker family. I see them all the time around my area in Southern Maine. Also, those "crazy clouds" at 2:53:00 are called Mammatus Clouds. They form from the cold air at the top of a thunderstorm. That was an awesome thunderstorm, especially with the sound of the water lapping against the shore!
That does, to me, look like "heat lightening." Heat lightening usually is higher in the sky and goes more laterally than vertical.
Any opening with a picture of Monty's toe beans, followed by torture from his Daddy is usually the sign of a good video! :)
That storm was freaking awesome 🤩
I do love me a good thunder storm
Oh My Gosh Matthew!! Sure hope that You & Monty faired well through the STORM ~ YIKES

I just love that pup. The towel drying scene makes my heart melt!!
Amazing footage as always. I don’t even know where to begin. Just keep cranking them out Mr. Posa 💪🏼
You are so honest, and it's a rich and wonderful adventure every time. ❤
What a lovely video! The filming of that storm was breathtaking. As always, a wonderful video.
AMAZING THUNDERSTORM!!!!!
Perfect timing for my Sunday!!! Love the opening!
I just love how Monte leads the way on the portages. His fluffy tail is all you need to follow from under the canoe!

Fantastic lighting storm!!

Im so jealous, that display of lightning was incredible. Natures fireworks 💥
I was freaking out over that 2nd Larry! It was like your mission to put that net everywhere other than over the boat! Another awesome video though!
@@graynano8695 Yeah thats exactly how I was. Especially since right before that he brought up past clips lol.
Yeah! Part two!!! Happy Sunday!!!!
OH YEAH!! Love Posa Sundays! 😁 👏🐶🎣🏕❤️
Good to see you and lord Montagu having such a moment in the morning
First 3 hours: Nice, relaxing camping and fishing trip with the goodest boy and a couple a Larries.
Last 20 minutes: God damn War of the Worlds, I half expected Tri-pods to start blasting you.
Awesome adventure
So so relaxing. Definitely looking forward to new episodes.
Yahoo!!! Pt 2!! Thank you so much Matt. Perfect timing too. I messed up my back and can’t really move so I’m excited to see a new video 🥰🥰
The lightening and thunderstorm was spectacular! I love watching you and Monty.

Oh My Gosh! What A Storm!! I kept telling myself “everything‘s gonna be OK, because he got home and edited and posted this video!” But WOWZERS!
