I never realized just how big that mini is! I figured the shots were just really zoomed in and he was the same as most other human-sized heroes. The repose helped leverage that a bit, made him look more threatening!
Epic. No-one else can bring this kind of talent to the UA-cam miniature painting space. Laughed my ass off.

The story I was always told was Gary sculpted the new head due to pushback from Workshop and their early 90s pivot to marketing younger. He made the "Bobo" clown head as a joke, left it on his desk and went on holiday. When he got back they had taken the head from his desk and cast it.

'Nagash Laser Eyes' is now an official ranged attack option in my mind, no matter how angry my opponent at the gaming table gets.
There’s a world where people are shouting ‘NAGASH!! LAZER EYES!’ Before rolling dice.
Fantastic intro sequence! Reposing + limited color palette worked wonders on this guy; the classic paint job always added more red, white, and gold or golden brown which drew attention to all the silly details.
That slight repose did a hell of a lot for the model, he looks so much less ...just kinda standing there. And he didn't even need a tactical rock/skeleton/ghost/skeletonrockghost to be leaping off to achive it.
Gw REALLY liked those tall hats with spikes coming off to the side back in the day. I think I remember the Dark Elves and/or Dark Eldar having a bunch of them as well, even though they look like a nightmare to actually wear and honestly just come off as goofy. It was the style of the times, I guess.
Absolutely loved this! The fight with Nagash at the beginning was brilliant fun!
I laughed my ass of when the axe falls off of Tony's head. The pause and stare down is comedic gold.

90s Nagash is absolute trash but you did a far better job than I've seen most with this piece of Halloween tat! The re-pose helps!
The reposes makes the mini miles better but also your paint job brings out a lot of the features too. The paint job which the Eavy Metal team did for him back in the day was very strong whilst yours is much more subtle which also helps make a normally ghastly (pun intended) mini look miles better!

Hector, with his fine military 'tache and Woolly Pully looks like some WW2 Commando hero; about to kick Nazi butt.
The cinematography, sound and Foley work are all top-notch; and some great music too.
I think that, if you imagine that Nagash's "face" is actually a mask, the figure looks less goofy.
The finished mini looks mighty fine.

Great video! While I do agree that mini is just pure garbage, I think the floating Necromunda bounty hunter is probably in the top 5 of bad minis that I'm still wondering why it was made that way.

I painted this chap back in the day for a friend, very much in the style of the official version. When by sheer chance the exact same model came back into my possession battrered and in pieces almost 30 years later; I decided to try something similar, a repose and an entirely different paint job did indeed work wonders. It's still not a "good" model in my opinion, but it's "OK".

I remember reading the fluff for Nagash's origin back in the day and thinking I wanted to collect an undead army. Then I saw the model.
Amazingly I thought he was awesome when I was a kid! Not entirely sure why…

To be honest, I don't think the current Nagash is any good either. It's overly detailed to the point where it's way too busy. Just a visually confused and confusing mess, like so many of the current crop of GW models.

Well Dave it was never a model I liked the look of as what theme did it fit into and at the time I was into Space Wolves and Corsairs so vibrant blue greys and Orangy Red's and pale white skin. So have watched this and to be honest I'm still not sure where one of these could fit my modern Regal Raven Challengers. Cheers the Noo !!
Weird shit? I think it's great entertainment! Also your sponsors get the best ads from you that don't feel like adverts and are interesting to watch. I reckon a few channels could learn from this but it takes some creativity and what I would assume is a lot of effort on your part. Thanks for another episode!

I've painted mine in grim dark earthen colors and the model really is not bad if painted in a... not so neon colored style :D that being said, mine leans on his staff (he put vertically on the ground like a walking stick) and the sword horizontally at his side at ease. A very good and natural pose.

Yeah, come to think of it, a lot of Citadel minis at the time did have very cartoony vibes to them with comically oversized pincer claws, silly big muscles, oversized weapons and comical expressions. The Saturday morning cartoon era of GW is long past us now!

I painted him up again several years back. I trimmed down his cheeks (the ones on his face😃) a little and I think it really helped. He's chunky but I think he's a product of his time, which is no bad thing! 👍

There are only three things GW ever did that I give a single skinny Skaven shit about: the Citadel jungle trees terrain sprues, Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos album and 90'S CHAD NAGASH!!! There's no reason to own any WH model that isn't 90'S Nagash. None.
