Good video and nice testing. I trashed my stock servo on my second trail run. Got it replaced via warranty and carry it as a spare in the vehicle toolbox. I too went with the PH 80kg instead of spending the big bucks. It's been in the rig for 8 months now with no issues. My observation so far is it performs a little better than stock. However, I do try not to get it in binding situations. You are right though, the metal shock towers are a must! Great info on the BEC, i think that will be my next mod before I upgrade the servo again.
i did get the shift x5, super power , ,, 14.8 volts, 4s batery just for it, was it worth it, YES,if your a crawler, or climber, it,s so fast and strong, your video,s are great information, thank you much!!
I’m not a huge fan of them. Aluminum tends to wear out and get sloppy. I’d also rather replace a rod end than have something else break. Buy a rod end kit and keep spares in the toolbox on the truck. I think it’s under $20 for every rod end on the truck.
Brilliant video. Love the serious testing and input 👍
Thanks, you answered a lot of questions. 👍🏻
Happy to help

Highly recommend the bec. It makes a huge improvement on speed and power.
Was just about to get a power hd for my scx 6 thanks for the review looking for something else

Awesome, I feel like eventually I’ll end up with a high end servo. It’s hard not to push the limits of this truck and the steering def holds it back
Hi. Do you feel aluminium steering rod ends are needed also?

How is this a fair comparison when you used a BEC on the Spectrum and never for the Power HD ??
Pretty sure I ran the PowerHD on the bec at 8.4.
