I could use a little help with my 1.6 honcho . On the trail today my steering just stopped working.. when I got it home and pulled apart the teeth were chewed off. Is there a way to upgrade that ? Also what are the other things I need to upgrade? Steering mount? I just.dont want that steering flex

This slip in the tires probably helped also. Probably appropriately powered also, that's why it's progressively losing traction.

Now that I've seen under the body, I can tell my original suggestion (ie. Vanquish VFD) wouldn't work.

I think it isn't very popular because it costs in the neighborhood of 550-620 bucks. That's a deal killer for what it is. Too much money for licensing agreements with Polaris etc I love it and want one, but not for that kind of hit to the wallet..

My Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro Kit & RTR both rock. The PL I-Beam setup has me curious about converting my SCX10-2 into a prerunner build. I like trailing arms, my ecto crawler and utron trail truck work great with the right rollbar. I'll be watching and waiting. 👍🏻

I have a few High Trails, couple bought, 1 built. What I love about the K10 is the 13.2 wheelbase. It definitely helps for hill climbing especially after adding some brass

So I had an idea for ya.... I know you go back and forth with that body..... what if ya change it up, maybe go post apocalyptic with it... paint it primer black, metal screens over the windows, etc etc... it might look kinda crazy... Anyways, love all your content, thanks for creating....

I luv the idea, and even thought (when the Twin I-Beam Kit was originally released) of doing something similar...but, decided against it because of the transmission 'problem'. At the same time, I never even thought about a rear suspension as you did. Watching your video, a transmission idea popped into my head, if it can be done, while still using your current trailing arm type of rear suspension. Honestly, I don't even know if it's possible, and I no longer have any crawlers (sold them all, except for my SCX24) to test my idea...but, you might be able to. The idea involves using the Vanquish VFD transmission, combined with the highest OD T-case gear & plate set (I believe it's 21%, which, when combined with the front portal's OD gears, gave it a total 45% OD). Here's the part where I don't know if it would work - you'd probably have to use the VFD skid, plus the skid & trans would need to be installed backwards (ie. front facing the rear). That way, what is normally the front output would become the rear. Additionally, if the skid (facing backwards) doesn't bolt-up to the SCX10 chassis, you might need to use the Vanquish chassis (which is, thankfully, based on the SCX10 chassis). If you have a Vanquish chassis, and VFD trans & skid, it's definitely an idea worth testing. If it can be done, that would solve the "slow speed because of a 3-gear transmission" problem. Again, just an idea worth considering. 👍👍

Trx4 2 speed transmission with a non-portal rear axle would get you some decent speed out of it. All the gear reduction on a trx4 is in the axles, so the trans would work out I think.

If you want to build go for the ibeams. If you want to rip kyosho outlaw is a lot of fun. I kindof want to do both. The lockable diff is a really cool feature

Thanks for the vid. Personally i think the scale accuracy is just stupid as none of them "Scale" out to be correct. The UDR and the KM WRC Rally Citroen is near perfect is what they represent. Don't get all hung up on the scale part of it but appreciate that it is that and RC is offered with such realism.

Great looking trail! Wish I had something like around here, but I'm surrounded by farmland. I picked up a Copper K10 H.T. in late winter 2023, and then a few months later I got the Sport Gray/Green edition H.T. I do feel a good deal of brass will be needed on the axles because they're very tippy. I've been thinking of downgrading the Sport H.T. to standard height because the single speed w/locked diffs makes it a little boring being all jacked up. Thing is, I bought the special green Long Arm lift kit so that I could get the green shocks and links to enhance the overall look. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have an F150 high trail with 1.9s on it . Didn't like the stock 2.2 canyon trails, looked too much like a monster truck. Not had a chance to run yet due to health but looking forward to trying it out

The g-wagon is a pretty big car so putting it on stilts actually doesn't look that bad! But as you say, this hobby is for having fun and if you are having fun, especially with a buddy, then that is what counts. A car could be the perfect machine but if it isn't fun to drive, how often are you really going to bring it out?

Mine are ceramic coated a lot better than the spray
