I absolutely can not sing. My family has requested that I not do it. I lip sync hymns in my church.🥴Its like I try to hit a b and it comes out b flat or an a. So this is problematic for me.
Paul, you can try singing a pitch(whatever feels comfortable to sing) and then finding it on the piano and listening to them match up. If you know piano or know someone who does, sing a constant pitch finding it on piano and then playing a simple chord progression like I-IV-V-I can also help with singing and hearing the pitch. I have found doing this with students has helped them with their singing pitch accuracy immensely and in turn their trumpet ability.
@@FunTrumpet I've also heard that John Harbaugh would take a flexible dryer duct and have a student put 1 side on their mouth and the other side on either ear - that way, when they sing (to match a pitch) they hear themselves; many people who sing aren't really hearing themselves. It's worth a try!

Hey Paul! Do you have difficulty matching pitches if everyone’s singing happy birthday?
