I stumbled on you guys channel a coupe months back and I keep coming back to watch! I am a retired firefighter (captain) but my in-laws (both deceased now) had an RV business for 34 years, which I would spend almost every day off from the fire department doing service and repairs on RVs. When I watch you guys enjoying life in the world of RVing. But most of all I respect your tenacity to prioritize order of importance - -God, Family, Country!!! Nice rig, especially the 'hardware' on the bed, shower routine example, great vibe between you 2, and upgrades. So many ideas crossover between live-aboard boating and RVs. Examples, the Starboard front shelf damns/stops, space savers, etc. Love you guys!

Nice RV this will make a great travel rig. The only thing I suggest is keep the hardware off camera . So you do not run the risk of being flagged by the powers that be. Obviously, safety is necessarily when traveling or even at home but keeping it private is the best idea .

Yay. So happy for you! Mercedes, for the "above the bed" storage, I put baskets for additional blankets, pajamas, swim suits and things we don't always access (beach towels etc) The baskets help A LOT with reaching back into the very back. 😁

I love the RV! We had a Class C and loved it for our family of 4. We sold it and you are right. Once you RV, the itch to travel is ingrained in you. Eventually we'll get a new rig and travel again. Until then, thanks for taking us along on your adventures!
When you are prepping for quick escape/getaway, you can get food on the way to where you are going. A "bug out" bag with essential clothes is always a good idea. Nice little rig. Enjoy.
Love your new RV and the “comforter” on the bed is a nice touch. My wife and I just purchased a Flagstaff 21FBRS and can’t wait to begin many adventures. Be blessed.

I just bought the same floor plan on the Ford Transit. Love it. You have a bit more room than mine but we slept 3 adult women in the loft, dinette and bedroom and we were all comfortable. I bought mine used and the previous owners had never cooked inside it. My drawer under the closet is used for iPad, ear buds, underwear, etc. It’s kind of a catch all.
I heard you say , space for meds in the bathroom . Please do not put your meds in the bathroom it’s the worst place in the RV or your home. You need to keep them in your bedroom, in a dark and dry space. The moisture in the bathroom will deteriorate your meds.

This is a pretty neat little camper with lots of storage. If you need more, Look into the space above the microwave. That might be just a piece of wood and if you detach it, there could be storage space above the microwave where you could just put in a bottom piece of wood and use a dowel rod to keep things in when you are mobile. Same for the space above the pantry. Happy travels and looking forward to more videos from you

I love Minnie Winnie's! They pack so much storage into a small space. Even though the shower is not very tall, I'm still amazed at how well the bathroom is laid out. It's a great option for small families on shorter trips. Too bad they cost an arm and a leg! Have a fun and safe trip!!

I bought my first RV today! Well let me say it's my second one. The first one was a 32' Winnebago. Only used 2 or 3 times in a 10 year time span. But that's now moldy from not being used and will have to be trashed. Today I bought a Class C 28' Thor Chateau. It's a 1999 but looks brand new. It only has 32,760 miles. It's in such pristine shape. Got it for $16k. My husband and I were going to sell our 2.3 acres with a home that's 100 years old in a couple years. My sweet sweet husband passed away on Feb 8th of this year. I'm just heartsick. This home is just too big for me to keep care of myself. So I am going to continue on with what our plan was. He didn't want to move at first cause of the massive amount of work selling and giving away everything in this home and property. But now I have to do it all myself. I'm a hard worker and I will achieve this goal. When I am ready to go, I will purchase the Trip Advisor app. It probably won't be till almost a year though cause of all I have to get rid of. I needed the RV right away to start putting things in it that I want to keep. I wanted to see what's going to work and what I decide to NOT keep. Then I can just sell everything else in the house. This house just doesn't have the room to make piles of keep, donate, sell. I live in WA state about 25 miles east of Everett off Hwy 2. I was born and raised in Seattle WA. I am so done with property care. I have driven charter buses and school buses for about 20 years all together. So driving these things is not a problem for me. I will probably be traveling with 6 cats. I'm sure... that's not a good idea but for now... it's hard to part with them. They miss "dad". I can't give them anymore stress right now with me being out of their life also. I'm glad I'm not having to search for an RV now. Can put my attention on things to get me out of this brick and mortar. I'm 68 years old this August. I am going to redo the kitchen in this RV. I want to take out the stove and oven. I don't want to have to use propane for it. I want to use an electric 2 burner stovetop and a portable Cuisinart oven/toaster/broiler. I heard you mention this on this video. I felt good I had made that decision. Then they can be off the counter when not being used. I want more counter space then the built in stove/oven. I am a cook and have 60 spice jars that I will downsize to smaller jars and put a sheet of metal on the kitchen wall and magnetize them all to it. I also will be taking out the microwave. No need to be in a hurry anymore heating anything up and it's not a healthy way to cook. lol. I'm tired of the cold weather in the Pacific Northwest. I want warmer weather from now on. I want to be able to have a veggie garden all year long. Here at home I have a 2400 sq ft garden. I have 23 fruit trees/buses/vines. I'll be leaving all that. (gulp). Happy traveling. Be safe!
So glad you got a Mini Winnie ...perfect size for you guys. We have our van always prepared to bug out. We can leave in less than 30 minutes for a trip. We keep can goods, dry goods,, spices, towels, blankets, etc. in it. All we grab is clothes & cold foods & off we go.~ Derec & Tanya

When we started Rving 5 years ago we purchased a similar size motorhome from Thor 25' with a very similar lay out. We leave clothes in it and when we want to go we grab some food sometimes on the way and just go. Your gonna love it. Best of luck.

May I ask why you chose to buy a preowned RV from a private family rather than a dealer? Did you have a mechanic inspect it before you bought it? Congratulations on the MH. It looks like you bought a gas rig vs a diesel. That was a good call. Mine is diesel and uses diesel #2. Most west coast stations only carry bio diesel which isn’t allowed for my engine. It becomes a real pain to find diesel #2. Gas is the way to go.

Great shower demo😂 I would use the drawer by the bed for shoes. We do that in ours .Holds a lot, keeps them out of the way, easy to vacuum & wipe out. Enjoy your new rig!

We stock our rv with extra clothes. When we get home we wash them and put them right back. Then when it’s time to go all I have to do is get the food in. Our storage place is only 10 minutes away from us. It’s so much easier to pack up an rv if you just have to focus on food♥️

Wow, it looks like it just came off the showroom floor!!!! Beautiful. The skylight cover things also help reduce the UV rays which will discolor the tub and surround, turning it yellow. You’ll notice that with RV’s that are a bit older. Loved the shower demo, but it would have been even more entertaining to see how John would maneuver to wash his feet!!! Better get a guardrail 🤣🤣🤣. I love that your new rig has an oven! Finding especially a newer rig with an actual oven is hard! They all seem to just have a stove and a convection oven. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a convection oven, especially when you're running the ac but real oven biscuits are the only way to go. That shower...I'm 6'7"....no bueno lol! Except John's shower demo 😂🤣😂🤣 Hey, George Carlin has the best daily shower tip. You don't always need a shower. Just gotta hit the four key areas. Armpits, a-hole, crotch and teeth. And you can save a considerable amount of time if you use the same brush on all four areas at the same time. 🤣😂🤢😜 Very, very nice rig!! Looks like it'll serve y'all quite well. Have you tried the silicone bowl microwave popcorn bowl poppers? They are amazing and no artificial crap additives to the popcorn bag ingredients. Can pop raw or with personal additives butter/oil salt. Also Mushroom popcorn is amazing huge pieces

I have a 30 ft Coachman Leprechaun no slides. 2017. It is my first RV and I can not imagine a better RV for me. I am 66 single woman with my Scottish terrier. I have removed jack-knife couch and dinette. Added 2 bars L shaped and a box like storage with cushions. The floor space I have now is amazing. I am fulltime. And loving my life. God definitely helped me find this RV. I flat tow a Jeep Cherokee trailhawk!.

Love your new RV. Hubby wants to go back to motorized again and we are looking seriously wanting to go back to a B but a C has so much more room without giving up too much convenience or mileage. Can't wait to see how you prep it for a quick departure. Here in the California desert, it is so hard to leave most things in the RV because of the 119-degree summers. I remove everything that might melt or worse like deodorant, toothpaste, shampoos, packing and duct tape, matches, lighters, toilet chemicals, anything aerosol and a whole bunch more but I pack them into a huge bin so it is pretty easy to put them back in when we are ready or when it cools down. I wanted to ask you about how you might store valuables and or firearms??? Thought a false back to a drawer or maybe a small safe bolted down inside of a cabinet or under a seat??? We just downsized from a large trailer to a Mercedes Diesel class C. Still has an over the cab bed unlike class B+'s, but a foot narrower than big class C's, and only 25" long. And the front seats turn around to be part of the living area. And it gets 15-18 MPG.

You told me you were getting a new RV!…it’s gorgeous, guys! I really think you made the logical choice for your rving needs. Those Super-C’s are monsters and gulp down fuel like crazy. Your Minnie Winnie doesn’t “sip” gas, but it isn’t the glutton like a Super-C or giant class A. We have a Winnebago, Navion Mercedes, AND. LOVE. IT! She’s (Lucy!) a delsel. You are going to have so much fun, which is much deserved. Just look how obviously happy Mercedes was showing us around. You two were missing rving. Nice coach. The prior owners did some really good additions to make it work even better. Should work well for the revised lifestyle on the road. Great shower demo! Are you going to pull a toad? A good friend and his wife spent a year on the road last year after he retired in a similiar rig pulling their Wrangler. Hope the bad weather down south the other day didn't impact Thunder Canyon again. Safe travels back.

So funny I started out with a Class C 30 foot. Lived in it at a RV Park 2 years. Then I traded in the Class C & bought a 5th Wheel Grand Design Solitude 36 foot to live in. To travel in I bought a Casita 17 foot for my Special Need Son and I. Love your New RV!!
That bathroom isn’t bad. It has a larger vanity and more storage than the bathroom in my house. My shower is bigger though

Glad to see you are getting back to your roots. The last few videos I thought you were going off the deep end into a rabbit hole and I was almost going to un-scribe.
Congratulations!!! In the video you mentioned 15 amp wall outlets. My experience is those outlets are not true 15 amp. You might take the time to pull one out and see the rating on the back. In our 5th wheel I checked mine and found 12 amps rated.

As you said though this is not going to be a full-time home this is just a getaway shower / bathroom :-) You can go home to your bigger bathroom after vacation. 👍❤️
