Mine came today. I decided it was time to retire my OBD II scanner from 2000 so far it's told me that my clockspring is causing my airbag light to go on. so I've already saved the purchase price compared to what the dealer would charge me to scan it.
Yes Nathan, Please do more film's in future with you're Foxwell decoder. I learned a lot with you're explanation of decoder and watching you're thumb clicking on different key's. I don't have a decoder presently. But plan to get one in future. My driver's manual for my new car looks like a encyclopedia😌. I have Bluetooth, usb ports etc. Voice commands, everything!! Except an ejection seat! In cockpit😊. Good work sir!
Remember to replace the cheap sd card with a quality card (like sandisk) just copy & paste all files. These cheap sd cards fail all of a sudden and the scanner becomes a brick. The thing with Foxwell is each of their $150 scanner only covers some car systems, never all of them. The one $150 scanner that covers all systems is the NT530 but it has a big downside: it covers only one car brand. Anyhow, the NT630 PRO is not longer available, it was replaced by the NT630 PLUS which covers only the ABS and SRS modules (but it does ABS bleeding and SAS calibration). I would recommend the NT680 Lite: it covers Engine, Transmission, ABS, and SRS systems (but no electrical systems like doors, electric seats, climate module) AND all car brands. Downside is no ABS bleeding or SAS calibration, no transmission adaptations reset (the NT530 is the only one who does reset the adaptations). I show how to activate these here ua-cam.com/video/AroFU5jV3x4/v-deo.html
Also whats your thoughts on Foxwell NT726? Looking for a Scanner for my Mercedes ML350 2010, I was suggested the TOPDON ARTiDiag800BT as an all around scanner? Any thoughts would be appreciative. Thanks
I could not access the ABS brake bleed on my 2000 Chevy Express Van. It might be an issue with the down load. I did two different downloads on different days. I finally gave up and bled the unit using vacuum and a willing buddy pumping the brake peddle. I will contact them and see what they report. So so far, for my particular needs, this unit is not working with my make/model of vehicle in certain aspects only. It will read the engine codes and retrieve the VIN. I don’t know, it’s a head scratcher.
I need something that will read airbag codes. I have a scan tool and it may im not sure it's a nice one I've had for years but I've never had an airbag code. Like he said, understand sensor and what you are seeing is important. Having a parts store read a code that says o2 sensor rich...Ok, why? You have found the symptom but not the root cause. You have to look at fuel trim, mapping and injector pulse time. A leaking fuel pressure regulator will create this code but the ECM / PCM has no method by which it can check the Regulator. You have to remove the vacuum hose to see if it's leaking fuel. So, $180 for a 4 wire O2 sensor that's hard to change or a $46 fuel pressure regulator on top that is easy to swap out!
