Enjoyed seeing your latest finds. I love the ones put out by church ladies' groups; you KNOW they submitted their best recipes for those spiral bound works. Two of my favorite recipes of all time were from Pillsbury Bakeoff contests! Joy of Cooking is still my all time fave!

There's something so homey about those church lady cook books, isn't there Kathy?

I love cookbooks. I've even published one myself. I used to collect them, but have gotten rid of lots of them, because I just ran out of room. But I still keep a lot. I have one that I keep threatening to get rid of, but still hold onto it. 1001 Sandwiches by Florence A .Cowles. It was originally published in 1928, I have the 1936 version. Oh, the weird sandwiches they used to make!

Love seeing the range of cookbooks that are popular in your market, thanks for sharing your finds. I've been having great luck with the Better Homes and Gardens series in my antique booth over the past few months. I have them priced at $14 CAD per book and they have proven to be quite popular! The Good Housekeeping Illustrated Cookbook is phenomenal resource...I highly recommend it and use it regularly. I love old cookbooks and will keep sourcing them. There's just something special about the love and energy poured into each page. The recipes I find on the internet, I print and keep in my recipe files anyway. Guess that makes me old school LOL

I sell many church lady cookbooks. There was a Lutheran cookbook published on the 1990's that has become the Holy Grail around here. I have a list of four customers in line in order of the date requested. I've only sold one - $35! My niece collects the Betty Crocker books. As always both interesting and informative.

Wow, that sounds like some cook book! I can always count on regional cook books to do quite well, but haven't come across a church lady one yet that could secure close to $35!

Hey there beautiful soul!! 💗 what an awesome haul of cookbooks! My local Salvation Army prices hardbacks for $1.99, but you can get 25% off of everything on Wednesdays. Interesting how the same store varies their policies across the country. I would have snatched up the junior league book, and that one pamphlet based on the cover illustrations alone (I love fruits and vegetables). I always learn something new from you, and I love to see the variety that you find. Hunting is my favorite part; the researching, photographing, writing listings etc, less so lol - but there isn’t space for all cool things I find (and it’s necessary to keep recycling the funds!). Thank you again for ALL that you do and share, and as always, I’ll look forward to your next installment 🌸💗🌸💗🌸

I do well with the classic cookbooks like Joy of Cooking, Better Homes and Gardens and Fanny Farmer. There doesn't seem to be much of a market for church, Grange, etc cookbooks here. Or maybe I just have them priced too high! I'll have to check that next time I'm at the shop
