I think your "Majolica" vase is a hobbyist piece done in glaze--that's why the glaze is running together. Underglaze is liquid slip with pigment in it; it stays where it is painted. Your vase was painted with "semitransparent" glazes which means it puddles in the cracks--like the green leaves.
Great finds as always! Also loved the ironstone pitcher on your sink with the flowers! So pretty! I would set a flower pot into that yellow ware crock and let ivy cover the flaws!
