  • This is a trailer for my 1961 Larson. In this video, I start the long and annoying process of removing all the rust and paint. I sanded down the sides before making this video (hence the white paint.) However, I didn't sand down enough to get rid of the original primer and rust... hence why I had to sand down all the initial work I did.
    Also, shout out to Bug rich from the Ohio Fish Rescue for lending me his sandblaster! / ohiofishrescue-com
    In addition, Haught Wheels Transportation and Automotive did the welding for my trailer. They’re located in Ravenna Ohio and the phone number to reach them is 234-380-2704

    Just started following you. This is the third video I have seen. Looks cool. Is their a way for us to see how much time is passing in time lapse? I know it looks silly but wearing a mask will help you both 🙏🙈. Really enjoying the videos

      I know I need a mask! I’ve since started using one. & about 15 hours in total and 30 off camera. This took way too long.

      First one! Now is the hard part. I have one that’s fully running. It’s in my shorts

    I thought sanding galvanized metal was dangerous and so a respirator is needed to avoid breathing in zink dust - am not sure of this but am using one to be on the safe side for my trailer restoration - hoping i am wrong, please be careful

      Yes, it is. I didn’t have one but should have used one.

    Good work there. I do hope you were wearing breathing apparatus as the yellow undercoat is zinc chromate and is highly toxic and carcinogenic. Has been banned in a lot of countries due to this.

    Are you gonna paint it too?

      @Backyardboats  2 роки тому +2

      Yes of course haha, this is why it’s just a part 1. I’m gonna get the rest of the metal entirely bare before I prime it then I’m painting it a cherry red to match the boat :)
