Nice Video! I don't think I can sand blast my trailer... I have been hitting it with rustoluem. Mainly the L shaped pieces of metal that hold the bunks are are very rusty and falling apart. Any advice on what to do besides hitting it with rustoluem?
"A few areas of concern to work with." I would have to agree but you did a nice job. UA-cam videos never do justice to the amount of work required for a job like this. Well done.
Typically with boat trailers, the wiring is usually run inside the tubing. This prevents the wires from getting cut or damaged during usage. You may want to consider rerouting the wiring inside the trailer tubes rather than outside them. It will make for a far more durable and reliable trailer in the long run...
Hi Rick thanks for the message, with the wiring harness i purchased it didn't allow me to run down the chassis but in the future i will we putting the wiring in PVC tubing to prevent damage and make it look a lot more aesthetically pleasing ! thanks for watching :)
@@AngryMackAdventures haven't fitted on yet but my boat or trailer isn't as nice as yours. But there are plenty on eBay and some googling will put you in the right direction But it's cheap and well worth doing
Nice vid! I’m doing similar with my trailer. Is there any issue with sanding down the trailer from rust, and then spray painting it. I just don’t want to spend too much money. And what exactly did they do in the shop that you took it too. I’m new to this and wouldn’t have a clue what they did to your trailer. Cheers.
Hey mate, spray paint isnt very good with salt water, galvanise is alot stronger, if you plan to keep for a long time, i recommend it.. its not as expensive as you think if you can sand blast it yourself :)
not gonna lie when you said you got it back from the galv shop i was dumbstruck. i would have welded it up and put a thick coat of paint on for much less money. having said that the thing looks like new. no doubt you will be losing money on this build but i appreciate the craftsmanship and care your putting into it.
Looks like a TrailIt trailer. I have one also for my Genesis. I dont think they were dipped or built very well to be honest. Mine needs to be stripped apart. Looks worse than yours!
Hi Darryl, thanks for watching, as mentioned in video rims are going to be changed and near future will be wrapping axles in grease wrap to protect, yes gold galv is not that great but a lot better protection then nothing.
Not trying to put you down mate but being a professional blaster sprayer for over 44 years you should never blast without a air fed blast helmet just saying as seen to many accident's in my time
Hey mate, great video!
Where did you find all the information regulations for trailers?

Mind me asking how much your hot dip galvanising was per kg? I have some quotes in Brisbane and its pretty expensive.
Where do you get your parts from?
Nice work keep it up.
It came out really well great work 👍
Much appreciated!
We’re can we see that price listing
Good video. I need to restore my boat trailer as well
You should! great feeling having restored trailer!
Angry Mack Adventures Thanks for replying. I will do it.
Nice job. Why did you call it "fully galvanized" ? Is there such a thing as part galvanized? If the axles are not galvanized is it fully galvanized?
you know what i mean :P
Would it be possible to take rust off with metal wire brush?
Hey Mate, yes absolutely but it will be time consuming!

Thanks Alot mate, yeah do it once do it properly why not :')
@@AngryMackAdventures awesome to see it all runs well on the water mate been enjoying watching the videos as they come out
Man how do you know how to do all this haha!! 😂
HAHA years of experience my friend :')
Looks like fresh from the factory. Almost too nice to dunk it in salt water. Almost...
wow
How much
Costs?
All that wonderful work on the trailer and you neglect the most important part of the trailer, the Axle.
Hi John sorry what am I neglecting? Axle is solid steel

It's only good luck if they shit on ya head good job bloke just about to do the same thing
Great work, but I,d rather hear a grinder than that music.
Noted! thanks Joe :)
cold gal does absoultley nothing

Ohh wow , yeah we tried hooking it up but wasn’t working so left it. We will definitely be using for next time, Thanks for watching
Wouldn't it be smarter to just buy a new trailer compared to restoring one.
Lets galvanise a rusted piece of shit to prevent it from rusting...perfect logic. 😂 Typical Aussie logic.
