Sound quality is bad, but listenable.

Wow, I've never seen an interview that has Maynard sounding more interested than the interviewer
I think he was on his third bottle of wine
@@ryanduray1 lol
The interviewer must be the worst of all time!!!
Before I read the comment section I thought, “damn, MJK really showed up for this one..”
If any of TOOL read this, just let me say that you need not worry.... the new album is fucking epic. Thankyou guys for existing and making great music, im glad to be alive in this time to witness the awesomeness that is TOOL.
Anthony Fantano disagrees.
@@gmanoonty6645 Don't let that melon tell you what to think
Fantano gives most albums bad scores.
@@gmanoonty6645 Shit name, shit face, Anthony Fantano is irrelevant.
Maynard sounds happier than ever
DrSterlingSimmons Imagine what a weight off the shoulders finally releasing this album would be.
Dude. Hearing Justin talk is awesome. I rarely get to hear him speak. so cool
Look up “Justin Chancellor Ernie Ball.” You’ll love it.
Lois Griffin • I’ve seen it and I loved haha 😊 thx
With the record finally being done and the green light on digital streaming, you can tell Maynard is beyond relieved. Always love listening to him with good interviewers, including Joe Rogan.
Tool compares to... NO ONE!
TOOL Music is it’s OWN genre!
It's so refreshing to hear Maynard open up more about an album, and this early on! I can't wait to see what happens now that they're done with their label pretty much. I'm sure once the promoting is over (maybe the tour too?) they'll be free to go independent or sign again. We'll see. I hope they go independent.
I really doubt they'll put out another album. I think that's why it took so much to get this one out
I think they should do one more banger album then thats it,apparently justin doesnt want too do another album, careys all for it as for the other two,no idea.Just feel like we need ONE more album out of tool.
The new album is absolutely perfect! Next level awesomeness! I love it and thank you Tool for giving your fans this amazing gift!
Those pre-release teases of Descending were amazing, I wish they made it into a separate number, maybe an instrumental or something.
Agreed, it sounded better without Mallard's singing!
@@elusiveeagle8597 Nice bait.
@@elusiveeagle8597 mallard lol
@@elusiveeagle8597 Somebody's been watching Jim Newstead's reactions lol
But I thought they'd done the math enough to know the dangers of their second guessing?
Amazing interview that whole band has opened up so much it’s a great insight. And a congratulations to the interviewer. 🤙
Ironic that they had fear on releassing "Fear Inoculum"
That’s a reason why it’s titled that
A R C A N E not really ironic, it’s perfect. The entire band had to purge and inoculate their fears in order to cross the finish line
I could sit and listen to Justin and Maynard talk for hours
I've never heard Maynard giggle before.
MJK probably was having a couple glasses of that fine Cadeceus wine while doing the interview, hence the unusual happiness.
Thank you VTX.
It's interesting to hear their thoughts, very cool insights.
Speaking of mom and pop music stores..there are at least two I know of in and near where I live whom did not receive Any of what they were promised. From what I was told, it's a distribution or production issue. Those of us relying on purchasing our Ltd Edition cd in-store, don't have a cd.
Bummed out big time.
Maynard's longing for another win has been fulfilled. He seems really happy. I think it's because he doesn't have to be the mysterious Rockstar anymore
I've been listening to 10,000 days lately. There is something so special about that album, I love FI, but I'm not sure it has that same evolution that 10,000 days had. Idk I can't explain it.
MaynardOwns i feel that. 10,000 Days was so emotional and close and meaningful to maynard. fear inoculum is more hypnotic and like idk how else to put it but spiritual and like looking at shit from the 3rd person and saying “am i right here. is what im doing the right thing to do”
@@evancaulk7692 when I first heard FI i thought it could be their best work yet and it could be for sure but it lacks something that 10,000 days had. Not sure what it yet. Maybe 10,000 days is just that good.
Listening to new Cd 3 times allowed me to really feel it and jam to it Correctly!!!
Listened to the original BBC show, great stuff! Justin mentioned some of the riff’s they used were created before he was in the band 30 years ago, and that why some people feel the Opiate & Undertow vibes listening to this album.
Who feels Undertow and Opiate vibes? I feel the opposite....
Noah Grubb It was mentioned in this interview and I feel it at times when listening for sure. Also after surfing a lot of UA-cam & social media it’s mentioned by others in comments.
There is no right/wrong answer, it’s all subjective, all that matters is you enjoy it.
@@grubbn I can feel it in the verses of 7empest. Other than that I dont really see it too much.
7empest’s guitar riffs and vocals are very reminiscent of Opiate and Undertow. The bass and guitar riffs in Descending and Culling Voices sound nearly identical to You Lied from Justin’s band before he joined Tool.
Got a link for that BBC show?
I’m also happy they have a lot of ideas still locked in the vault!!!!!!!!
Really interesting insight into the new album.
When I first heard the single, I was "meh". After the second listen, I became more intrigued and now I love it. When the album came out and I heard the first few songs, I was "meh". Then I heard 7empest and was BLOWN AWAY. Then after hearing that song and the rest of the album after, I knew it was an epic journey TOOL pulled me into.
My exhale is my tell too, I got it from my dad and now my son has it...
Hope they still have their old demos and release them one day - maybe as a new album. For the record, I like the new album. I generally like atmospheric and trance inducing music that's so prevalent in the album. Which isn't for every Tool fan; not as exciting ect. This album is about refining their sound over the years and building soundscapes. I had to change my perspective a bit, drop ny expectation and go where the band wants to take us.
I've been thinking this same thing! I'd love to get a collection of old demos, B-sides, and even jams. They record every single band practice. I'd love to get my hands on that collection!
I really hope they release more hard copies , the thought that my collection may go on incomplete is killing me
Standard CD release and Vinyl release coming. You'll get it, I promise.
I can sell you mine for 7
@@el0j 7? is that a typo or an attempt at sarcasm , since the album was recorded in mostly 7
Interesting in the interview they speak of fear, paranoia etc ..... in preparation of the album and they give us Fear Inoculum! Very good.
If one were to meet Maynard and judge his voice strictly off of his conversational tone, they’d probably chalk him up as kinda nerdy, soft spoken, gentle, maybe even seemingly easy to take advantage of.
***MJK death scream at the **7:00** minute mark of The Grudge***
🤣🤣🤣
When Maynard says it sounded good 8 years ago. That doesn't mean that it was done just like what we got 8 years ago. They probably had something going.. but they let it sit so they could refine it. That's the way I look at it.
Blake Bumbalough they let it ferment almost like MJK's wine 🤣
Tool!!!!!!
As a musician, I can relate. by the time I create a cool song or riff, Im already sick of it and sounds like shit before its even recorded. Because Ive already listened to it to death, bored with it, before its even mastered. Then comes the changing of bits here and there that changes the whole thing, which sounds new and cool to the creator, but doesnt add to the original idea.
Its real mind fuck and insanity when changing a single rest note or added note makes you want to start all over. Its paralyzing.
P. B. My ex used to write n record songs n would say the same thing.. ya listen it it so much that ya thinks it sucks
P. B. Then he would change it 500 times!!
@@buckfuddy489 That's very true, I think thats why Narcissists tend to be the ones who become successful musicians.
P. B. Funny u saythat cuz my ex was 💯 a Narcissist
7 the last part gave me chillzzz
12:00ish
Me too when I first heard :D
Maynard is right, this album sounded great 8 years ago when these songs were more than likely created.
Westworld One I've heard that they wrote an entire album that got thrown away. I remember an interview with Adam years ago saying that the new album was sounding very "metal"...which couldn't be Fear Inoculum. Who knows?
@@itchyvinyl thats why they should go threw the trash can get it back and release it in a year or two
I think this album is a kick start for them. They didn't know if they would be relevant again and now they are the most talked about band in the world right now. I think they will release another album sooner than ever expected. Within 3 years for sure.
Bayer Head They’ve only done that once. 3 years between albums 1 & 2. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is their last album. I hope I’m wrong. Maynard seems over it in most interviews...and he’s barely present on the new album.
@@itchyvinyl we deserve one more album by them a true banger
Don't let Maynard know about theneedledrop!!!
Is that really Maynard or Jeff Goldblum?
The interviewer needs a little more bass.
it's like the SNL skit with cowbells!
True, what if removing all else
Honestly, the new album to me was like the guys giving my heart a little squeeze. I had almost given up.
Fight
TooL just needs to focus on releasing as much material as possible. Why not do another EP to placate the masses? Could develop song ideas over time
I wonder how sick they're getting of being asked why it took 13 years to put the album out.
*tear*
i literally cried. maynard was being such a dick in the media, i waited so long, i fully intended this thing to be hatefully made.
George rr Martin could learn from this
Where are the questions? They are responding to questions we never hear.
It was like that in the radio show. The host just said the topic that they will talk about and started the recording of the phone call.
Guacamole is better with cilantro.
Culling Voices is the sh!t
can't understand half of what justin says. subtitles please
I can barely even tell what the interviewer says.
After all the money they make from this album/tour they do one more lol.
My flipping life!🧐🤨😜😒does it always have to be part of the🙃😉🤩
JFC, I am interested in what is being said but the audio for the interviewer has me turning this off @ 2:50, after doing a thumbs down. In the description, I agree with "Sound quality is bad" but this is not "listenable". VTX, wake up you wanker, your mommy is calling you for dinner.
Like that Maynard knows biblical scripture@ seven seals! Jesus will come back!🤘🏼🙅♂️
Baaaaaa... Sheeeeeeep
It seems Maynard believes in God, but he is angry that God took his mother away from him
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌚 🤪 i'm on the path
Cool, as long as that's the only thing you're on.
@@TheRedverb very funny hahha
no maynard it doesnt sound fantastic.
