@@Daniel-ro8tq it’s mainly ignored by European clubs and thought of as a farmers league when there is genuine talent coming out of Japan. Japanese talents are just slept on as a whole because it’s in Asia and just thought of as a weaker region.
@@SorcerersSongs Its ignored for a reason man, notice how you mention talents come from there, yet how many "talents" can you name that have done well for themselves in the top leagues.....very few
@@Daniel-ro8tq the bundesliga and bundesliga 2 have loads of Japanese players showing off their talents. That way of thinking is exactly why Japanese football and Asian footballs development is so stunted.
Man when the fans started to sing country road I had literally to cry. What a incredible story that shows how football can bring people together. What a great club, I’m a fan now. Thanks for telling this amazing story, your videos keep getting better.
I love how you care about the small teams, I think that these teams don’t get enough recognition. But you have changed everything and are letting these small clubs voices be heard. Much respect for your channel and reputation
As a person deeply following Asian Football, the J League is one of my favourite leagues. This team and this community were absolutely rocked by the crisis and for them to bounce back they way they did is incredible. Glory for Vegalta Sendai.
Vegalta Sendai's story really reminds us that football isn't about the title wins and also signing the best of players and especially money, it reminds us that it's the people's game and the story must live on for future generations to see to show an example on how football can unite a community in need and also can be an outlet to forget our problems we face in life and it always brings us peace and comfort and warm our hearts inspite the bliss of defeat.
7:33 Kashiwa Reysol on top of the table played in the J2 previous season. They became the first club in Japan to win the J2 and the J1 in consecutively. They defeated Monterrey in the Club World Cup that year but lost to Santos with Neymar.
Vegalta Sendai's U-16 had an international tour in 2012, and thanks to Florence's Japanese Association in which my mother was a member at the time each player of the team was being hosted at households of the members of the association, so I had the captain in our house for a week or so before a friendly with Fiorentina's U-16. He was a cool dude but I really can't remember what his name was, it would be cool if he still played for J-League or even better in Europe, and maybe find him on FIFA or something, if someone is able to find his name I'd be so grateful
Great video. I experienced this pretty closely and even I as Sanfrecce fan was rooting for Vegalta to win the title. Hopefully they'll come back soon because we need these fans in the J1.
I had to admit I cried when they sung County Road, Take me home after what the supporters gone through from the earthquake back in 2011. Honestly thank you for making this video and showing J-league.
I'm a Rangers fan from Scotland, I support Gamba Osaka in the J-League but Vegalta Sendai are a club I respect greatly. I hope to visit Yurtec someday.
This day of the earthquake holds a very special place in my heart. Ive grown up here in Canada but spend every summer in Japan. The day of the earthquake my 8th grade teacher stopped all instruction for the day as we watched live News reports from the scene. I know that my class was the only one to do so and perhaps not coincidentally I was the only student with Japanese background. I will never forget that gesture or any gesture that tells a story from that time. Thank you Max.
The way you present and write is really good. It's so understated yet thoughtful. Ps. Love the undertale music. It fit perfectly and that song always gets me in the feels
The way you cover this story is class, it really feels different to any other channel. Also the Minecraft music mixed with the earthquake worked so well
What a video man. I was in Tokyo when the 2011 earthquake, and even that was traumatic despite not having to go through what the people of Sendai had to go through. Almost cried when you showed the clip of the fans singing their anthem.
Very good video, really fucking good, i love the funny things but very much so the serious stuff, keep this shit up ❤️❤️ edit: holy fucking shit i never cry at anything but the theme song and the voices, the match and the result, wtf 🥺🥺🥺😭
Vid 95 of waiting for the san marino career mode. I love these vids. It gave goosebumps hearing the fans. I love the clubs that have these fans. The story behind this tho is way more inspirational. Thank you for giving us a look for this.
Like for Vegalta
A genuine club, it’s a fantastic story.

Very cool club. Even got goosebumps when Hearing their Anthem👍
