This new battery menu on one UI 6 is so shite! Why would they change it! Why not keep it as it was before? Sot was from the moment you unplugged it from 100%! Now I have to charge over night and unplug in the morning as the day starts! Don't like it one bit. So unfriendly! Prefer one ui 5.1 easily over this rubbish!

I was expecting you will do one ui 5 battery life test before updating.
And it will be compared to one ui 6.
I wanna see the difference in battery life between 2 versions.
The battery life on my S23 Ultra very much improved in One UI 6.0 and it's very noticeable.
UI 6.0 upgrade is a gimmick and drains battery very fast.
the shown screen on time in one ui 6 is for the day,so it was not technically 6hrs of sot,because it measured some from before charging.

Please comeback and do the same test next month with the December update. I wanna see if they fix the battery menu and add back the screen OFF time like in the past version which is really needed. Also to see if the screen on time improves because 5 hours is a bit worrying in such expensive device. I'm barely getting 4 hours on my A52s which is a midrange device and I thought it was bad but the s23 ultra is just a bit better for what I can see costing three to four times more. On WiFi I get around 6 hours but I'm doing normal stuff, not being as hardcore as you are, just with basic apps. Why phones get so few screen on time on mobile data?
For me, the battery drains much more quickly. I used to use it on Twitch for chatting, without the video, and I could go on for a 6-hour session with over 60% left. Now, with the same settings, I've got 20% battery left. What happened at Samsung? If I'd known, I'd never have installed One UI 6.0 and I'd have stuck with the more memory-hungry but more optimal 5.1. Did you reset your phone after the update? Please samsung, give me an update soon !!! Your phone was the best and now I'm so disapointed

Anyone have updates? I too regret updating, same issue. I asked samsung support and they told me my screentime is normal for my s23 ultra, not in my opinion.
The problem with samsung AOD is that it stays at 24hz, doesnt go all the way down to 1 hz
In my s23 ultra after reaching 5%. The battery immediately drain to 0 within 2 mins. Previously getting 15 to 20 mins.
I got down to 1% and it lasted for some time as I saw it, but then turned off.
My brand new S21 Fe Battery will dies after 5%

My s23 ultra battery drain very fast. Just 50% battery used only for 3.hr screen on time

To me, with my use, not.
On my end I get an extra 10-15% battery. I was getting ~7 hours sot on average, now I get ~8 hours with 85% battery. I have many things set up for battery efficiency.
I kinda felt like mine drain faster than before I hope they fixed it soon.

I've expected so much better battery life from S23 Ultra with its 5000 mAh.. especially on Android 14 since many people praised battery life on One UI 6.
I'm starting to think that's all PLACEBO.
Myself I couldn't see any improvement in battery life, both SOT or standby after upgrading to One UI 6 on base S23 (updated 6 days ago).
My standby battery life improved when I've turned off battery life few weeks ago on One UI 5.1.
That's why I prefer a real battery test, and not one on the desk with controlled brightness, and etc.

I had 6-6,4 hours of battery usage of my Galaxy s23 on One UI5. After upgrading to One UI6, I had 4 hours 54 minutes...But I have updated 2 days ago...will see...how it will be
My battery was 100 percent at 12.34 am after that i open netflix and played some games.
So at 2.30 the battery was 86 percent and when i checked the battery menu it was
0.2 AOD
0.2 games
0.2 some apps
8.5 netflix
So total 9.1 battery Was used ,then after deductions 9.1 percent from 100 percent it should be 90 or 91 percent but it's was actually 85 percent then where is 5 percent battery.
Is there no screen off time on One UI 6?
This battery care is very bad! Its will update show whole charge period. My average is 9-9.5h sot per charge. Now i see 6h45min sot today and 38% left.
There's no way you get 9h on mobile data. 6h is okay, better than most in a similar scenario.
@@UltraFighter18 i use allways mobile data. Now 4g. Today 8h36min sot and left 26%
@@JH-666 The S23U never got close to 9h SOT on mobile data. Generally 7h is extremely good. I also have 5G On.
@@UltraFighter18 okay bad for you.. here from the beginning 9h-9h.30min a day and at the end there is about 15-25% left. always Mobile data varies between 4g and 5g. I use the S23 Ultra as my main device all the time. Best Record is 10h and 17 min.

Yes, my Watch 5 Pro is connected non stop to my phone so I can take calls from it if needed.

Using screen on time to measure battery life is only relevant if all your activities are with screen on. If you're listening to content over Bluetooth with the screen off and on long calls with the screen off, you won't be seeing 8 hrs Sot. With mix use, it's more about how many hours it can go before needing a charge.
That is wierd
I got 7 hrs screen on time while having 10 hrs screen off time and still got 15% in like almost 12 am.
What I notice is, most social media such as facebook, tiktok, and ig are most likely will run in the background. Especially when you left them playing reels, they will run in the background. And youtube doesn't do that for some good reason, but those 3 social media will run in the background when you left them playing reels.
Cuz if you have sound assistant and you turn on the specific app sound panel. When you press the volume, will see the specific apps own sound volumes that are running by pressing the 3 dots in volume panel.
What I notice is, most likely I see facebook, tiktok, and ig in the volume panel running even tho I am not using them.
What you can do is, after you use the social media such as those I mentioned. You will have a good battery life. Previously I was only having 5hrs screen on time with likely 5hrs or less screen of time.
And now I have fixed the issue by just closing thos social media after using them.
Last night I got 7hrs 50min screen on time while having 10 hrs screen off time.
You should take my suggestion.

I've received the notification for the update but I'm very reluctant to go ahead as I've heard too many battery drain issue's with users who have updated to One UI 6? I might just have to hold it off until a fix has been sent by Samsung to sort the bugs out... This is disappointing 😕
And the screen burn in issues..
