I just bought one last night. Got discouraged by Omar’s review. And thought perharps I shouldve bought XT3 instead hahaha but then, I’m excited to receive it today. This comment makes me more excited 🤣
What I've learned over the years of being a Fujifilm owner is to buy 2nd hand. Fujifilm users are notorious for GAS and you'll get bargain prices on used but excellent condition Fujifilm bodies and lenses. If a new model comes out, just wait for a month or two and it'll be on sale or used ones will pop up. Unless you just want to be "first" in the tech gadgetry, buying a few months later used will be a wiser choice no matter the model you're going to choose.
Exactly. And ignore the "is this or that camera good enough in this or that year" silliness. Most of the time- for your average shooter- YES of course they are! XT1, 2,3 can be had all for a figurative steal in great shape on ebay (well, actually at the time of this writing Nov.2020 prices on the XT3 have gone up a bit due to the recent firmware update, but still, $800 US can get you a fabulous XT3 body if you are patient. $5-600 for the XT2's and $300 or less for the XT1. IN good shape with low shutter counts from sellers with good feedback...just...wow. Right? Peace.
I built out my entire Fuji platform secondhand. Used XT2 and 18-55 kit at the end of 2018 for $750, used 16 1.4 and 23 1.4 found locally, used 56 1.2 from eBay in great shape, brand new in box 55-200 and 60 macro for almost half price from a Facebook group. Couldn’t be happier, one of the best value platforms on the used market.
I have probably watched every review on XS10, XT3 and XT4. Excellent comparison, you actually pointed out items that no one else did. Great work. I am getting the XT3
Thank you so much for the video. I was waiting for T3 price to go down but then XS 10 showed up and I couldn't pick one over the other. I am new to the Fuji and XS10 make so much sense for me. I miss the styling of T3 though but function wise, XS 10 would get me going faster. Love all videos. Definitely my favorite photography UA-camr. Keep up the good work.
Got into Fuji for small, high quality cameras and lenses but always missed an IBIS coming from MFT. Thinking about moving from the X-T3 to X-S10 now. IBIS is not just video, there is alot of photography where IBIS helps. From one handed snapshots of people to low light scenes without a tripod, or even just the easier composition with a stable preview (especially with that 90/2).
I regret buying the X-S10, I got a brand new one and it had dead pixels that imprinted into the footage and then it got sent back and I got a BRAND NEW one and it had THREE dead pixels and one on the LCD too... So.... yeah...
Omar is a like a good car sells man. I feel like I could go to his car dealership fully committed on buying one car (ie XS10), then he comes in and sell me on another car (ie XT3). Then before I realize it, I loving/buying the car he showed me. Great video man!
I sold my x-T3 for the x-s10, and I am in love. Let me count the reasons… 1. Smaller, lighter 2. IBIS 3. Flash on camera (comes in handy when you need it!) 4. Flip and tilt screen so I can see from any angle, including pointing to myself for travel selfies. 5. Custom settings - I love baking in a recipe for each custom setting. I just switch to one of those for what I need: low light, outdoors, etc. 6. That lovely grip! Every camera needs a grip. It’s silly not to have a grip IMO.
I'd choose the XT3, I love the buttons and dials being available. I have an XT2 just now but wouldn't move up to the XT3/4 till they really drop in price.
I got both, the xt3 mainly for photography and the xs10 for for filming and vlooging. If i would need to choose one. I think I’d go xt3 For a few reasons: Price which is around £800-900 new in the uk right now Dual Card slot 10 bit internal 4K @60 Ibis is missing which you could work around, with a gimble. So I think I’d go with the xt3 if I would need to choose one
Omar, your review videos are the only ones that I enjoy watching. Your thoughts and reviews are honest and very straight forward (no bulls**t). Keep up the good work and please never change the way how you make these videos. Thank you!
I like the tactile controls of the XT3. The front and rear command dials are quite helpful when holding the camera in shooting position. I find these are more like my DSLR in terms of use.
I picked the xt3 because of the weather sealing and it was on sale. Plus the firmware upgrade was nice. The xs10 is nice. I didn’t mind the look of it. I guess the weather sealing was a big factor for me.
Finally someone making this video!! Yay!! I’m trying to decide on which to get. Dude I’ve been watching you for a while and I just love your sense of humor!
Omar. You aren't just a little shallow. I've seen deeper dew on a warm summer morning. 🤣 I have the X-T4 for heavy duty work (with a Smallrig grip attached that overcomes the lack of a grip on the camera) and the X-S10 has just arrived for use as a carry round, street, and for the other stuff like landscapes when I don't want to carry my full kit. I don't care about the looks. Build quality is important and both have it in spades with the weather proofing caveat between them. The truth is they are, for a lot of work, interchangeable because they produce the same image quality. Having, briefly, had an X-T30 I find the viewfinder on seems X-S better. The spec may be the same, I think the quality of the panel may well be better. It certainly seems crisper. Really comparing the 30 and 10 is like comparing apples and oranges. Because of the weight, ergonomics and IBIS. The screen is a bit of a side issue. If I was moving to Fuji or upgrading, unless I needed weather sealing and two card slots or to mostly keep the 100-400 on the front, I'd go for the X-S10. Really great camera and with a lot energy and enthusiasm building behind the Fuji range as a whole I think it is a classic in the making.
I have the X-S10 and as a night street shooter (stills), the IBIS is a huge plus for me. I shall keep my X-T3 for use with zoom lenses that have OIS and also to use with manual focus lenses, since it has such a nice EVF to use for focusing. But the little X-S10 has one me over. As an aside, I'd like to say that you are one funny guy Omar and I love watching you amuse yourself as you pull faces and make gestures at your video monitor. You could have more fun than anyone I know by simply locking yourself in a room with a mirror.
As an ex-Pentax user, IBIS is really, really good to get that +2 EV in difficult lighting conditions, AND you can use it with legacy lenses too which is a big plus for me.
IBIS is much more important when you get older and you find your hands becoming more tremulous. I find it works brilliantly to compensate for the shakes. Nearly every new camera irrespective of make seems to include IBIS nowadays and this surely is an indication of how manufacturers are now realising photographers consider its inclusion of real important.
becareful many cameras have Weather seal advertising but just some of them have truelly earn that tittle. high end canon or nikon are good for raining weather have been proven , like 5d 7d series EOS R. sony and fuji is not for heavy rain. some xt4 user report thier camera had problem after heavy rain
Yeah, actually Fuji’s weather sealing can be amazing. I have a buddy who went to Pantanal (South America), with a Nikon D4 and the X-T3, other co-vacationers had pro level DSLRs as well.. the only camera to NOT shutdown and misbehave due to humidity, was the x-t3...
Omar, I like how you have gone into the pragmatic factors of how you carry and handle the camera, how prefer to use the viewfinder etc. Very helpful! Those little details make a huge difference.
It could be raining, dismal, depressing, bad bad day, and just like that, Omar will just put you back in the sunshine! Dude needs to do standup! Cheers from across the river in NYC!
Dear Omar, I am so glad I stumbled upon your video, as this is exactly what I am contemplating between. I am a novice photographer, and I have enjoyed shooting with my X-E3 tremendously, and I also appreciate the style which makes it much more fun to use in my humble opinion. I am sure that I haven't yet utilized some of the features of my camera, however, it is getting both a little too used and mostly outdated. Since the X-T3 is now at the same price point as the X-S10, and both are somewhat affordable, I go back and forth without making a decision between the two. Overall, as a professional camera, I guess that the X-T3 has more value for money, and should probably be overall better - except for the IBIS, and unfortunately, the main issue that makes it difficult for me to go with the X-T3 is the lack of it. I shoot mostly stills, and I like to shoot indoors and sometimes in low light situations. I probably should mention that I enjoy shooting mostly on aperture priority, with a maximum of 6400 ISO and an automatic shutter speed. How much will I benefit from having IBIS? Other than that, the X-T3 is a no-brainer for me, it has mostly advantages over the X-S10. Thanks!
Hi Omar. I’m an old retired pro and longtime Fuji user. I own an X-T4, X-T20 and an X-S10. I used the X-S10 very little as it was just my backup camera and I had only mildly positive feelings about it. But recently, my workhorse X-T4 became unavailable, and I was forced to use the X-S10 a lot. An amazing thing happened: The more I used it, the better I liked it! Now that my X-T4 is back, I’m choosing to use the X-S10 much more. I find the ergonomics, especially the grip, smaller size and lighter weight to be more important to me. The looks, control scheme and weather resistance much less so. I think that had you used the camera more than just a couple of days the tone of your review of the X-T10 would have been more positive. Change is difficult for everyone, Omar, even for youngsters like you 😁
Honestly, I find the "seeing the settings" point you raised to be an argument for ease of use. When the dials are blank, you basically have to remember what they mean by memory and remember how you customized them based on which mode you're in. And this is a pain in the neck for an occasional user like myself who will use their nice camera only for events which don't come by every day and can't remember how I've set it up after weeks or months of not using it. I remember doing a birthday shoot with my EM-5m2 and while I love the camera and its IBIS is pretty much the work of the gods... I couldn't even remember how I'd customized the dials or the menus or where the self-timer settings were... The thing I love about Fuji's retro layout is that the things I monkeyed with most (namely exposure-related settings) were there and plainly visible without having to remember "Oh, I'm in Aperture Priority mode, so this dial does X and that dial does Y"...
My first Fujifilm camera was the x-t20. Then i discovered just how EXPENSIVE the Fujinon lenses were. So I got a collection of vintage lenses. Downside: No stabilization. Then I heard of and bought the x-s10 for its IBIS!!! Since I hadn't really LEARNED the x-t20 'Fuji-ness' it was easy to switch. I did learn enough to make the x-s10's dials do what I needed. The Q-menu with touch is a lifesaver. For anyone wanting Fuji greatness without the looks, the x-s10 with IBIS is the way to go IMHO. IBIS makes low-light situations a little less daunting. If my path is true then x-t20 > x-s10 > x-t4. ("I can dream, can't I?")
What first attracted me to Fujifilm cameras was their retro look so I bought the X-T3 last summer. I like it so much and find it so much fun to use that I have sold off all my Nikon gear as I was not using that at all.
As always, your video was excellent, and I think you really nailed the key differences in the “concept” of each camera type. I’m with you, though: I have an XT-20 and just thoroughly enjoy its look and old school functionality. Well done, Omar!
I like you have shot with a lot of XT cameras and take mostly pictures. Currently own the X-H1 and X-T3. I was thinking of selling my X-H1 and getting the X-S10 but watching this I think I'm going to hold off. Would have liked the simplicity of the X-S10 for my wife to use when we are out and about but I can set it up in Auto or Program mode for her. Thanks for your personal opinion on the 2.
I just got the x-s10 two days ago, and tested your advice to try some night shots ( the 16mm vid ). I only have the 23mm 1.4 - a lens that I was not overawed by on my X-T1 and 2 - but man does this lens and camera shine in low light. Can't speak to the x-t3 or 4 but the x-s10 is proving to be a humdinger of a camera already. I have it on my wrist, so walking around with this camera is the most comfortable of the fuji line up yet.
Very new to XT3 and loving it! the retro-look is what I am used to! One comment - I am an older shooter who is tiny with size medium kids hands so the grip is absolutely perfect for me! I have never seen a UA-cam that mentions this! But by the way, hand size and strength are critical considerations. From expensive experience I know that it absolutely does not matter how popular camera is, how a camera looks, how brilliantly it performs or even how inexpensive it is - if I can't heft it around easily, because of the massive (big guy) grip, it still stays stuck in my bag. So while I am beginning to really a lot about the XT3, it was definitely the smaller (not one size fits all) ergonomics to take a second look!
The XS10 is definitely a vloggers camera (I have it on preorder, hoping to get it next week) The XT3 is definitely for the more pro users. The grip won it for me though! Great video as always Omar!
The feeble tiny viewfinder on the cheaper cameras, such as the xs10, really makes a huge difference in daily use, when compared to the more professional X-T3
Well, this very much depends on your preference for how you operate your camera... the biggest change being the PASM dial being necessary on the canon, and not on the Fuji. After using the Fuji, and simultaneously a Nikon with a PASM dial, I have to wonder why that dial has had such a prominent unchallenged life on so many cameras... it’s useless, and has premium placement...! That aside, and i know this is somewhat biased - Canon is still finding ways to cripple their new cameras, leaving obvious features out, as just to charge you later for a new camera... I don’t condone or support this sort of strategy myself, so for that reason alone Canon is out of my mind for purchases.
@@mortenthorpe Thank you for your comments. I shoot mostly landscapes in manual. I have no need for the PASM dial at all, except when shooting a "snapshot" of my dog or other family member. I'm currently shooting an older Canon with miserable dynamic range and the weight of a brick at minimum. So basically looking for a few things, dynamic range, weight reduction, and old school dials where I can access desired settings. I have no use for video at this point so that function on any camera is moot. I think that the Fuji fits all of my requirements. As far as Canon is concerned, I am aware that they hold back on features in the hopes of enticing someone with shiny object! I don't see that with Fuji in that they provide seemingly constant updates to their lines. Again, thank you... I am pretty much sold on the Fuji.
@@Snickers_GLNY I shoot with two X-T3’s and you’ll definitely find the weight reduction + retro dials with the Fuji system :) & i shoot mostly manual, but if I ever want speedy pics I just put my camera in auto iso 🤙🏽
thanks for this video my last camera was your fav xt20, its been 2 years now since it died(took a dive in the ocean) i have been waiting for sometime to buy the perfect replacement and this video helped me decide that i will go for the xt3
I think I would like the ergonomics better on the XS-10. Also, I think the XS would be faster to operate. I don't care about the old school dials although I appreciate where you are coming from. I learned on a Pentax K1000 so I understand. Lastly, I'm a Nikon user but always liked the Fuji colors and would use the XS-10 for family outings or travel. I wish it had dual cards to use as a backup on jobs.
Image quality for still is the same for me. But after using the X-S10 for a pro shoot, biggest thing I noticed is the X-T3 has a much better buffer and write speed. I got caught unable to shoot for 20-30 seconds with the X-S10 after accidentally filling the buffer.
Wicked close to graduating from my x-t20 to x-t3. The view finder is a big plus for me. I also like the physical dials and seeing things in the real world. Don’t use touch screen much. Thanks for this review. It’s helping me spend more money, I think…
Wanted to upgrade my Xt-10 but could find an Xt-3 anywhere in South Africa (not complaining)....so I got myself the Xt4😍😍😍. Excited to try it out when I get it
Fuji is addicting. I bought the X100T when it was first released and since then have added an X-T20 and X-T2. They are so good I really don't think or care about upgrading. Plus, I'm one of those sentimental guys, and get attached to my cameras. :-)
also for video makers, although 8 bit video os XS10 looks great, I had tons of issues in grading 8-bit before (but from Sony), and 10-bit of x-t3 is way more flexible and forgiving
@@mortenthorpe yeah and even though the m50 is a great camera it has crutches cameras at it's price shouldn't. They aren't supporting it instead they are going for a cash grab
I have the x100v (love it), and the X-T3, which I also love. Came over to Fuji after years of shooting with a long line of Nikon cameras (D7100, D750, D810, Z7, Z6ii). I like the smaller size and weight of the Fuji cameras and lenses, and now have the wide angle lens adapter for the x100v, and for the X-T3, the 18-55mm, 35mm prime, 50mm prime for portraits, and just this week my Tamron 18-300mm for Fuji cameras arrived. Talk about a great travel/vacation lens! Is it needle sharp like my primes? Probably not, but pretty darn close. Close enough to carry around when I know I'm going to be shooting from fairly wide to VERY long telephoto subjects. It's a little heavier than the 18-135mm Fuji lens I sent back, but doesn't feel as heavy as the 55-200mm Fuji lens I sold to get this one. I'm a happy shooter now.... And by the way, I love having the dial on the X-T3 and miss it on the x100v. Had one on the x100f, but wanted the new lens and tilt screen on the v, so.... Love these Fuji products....
For video shooters, I think the XT3 is a fantastic camera, but...you are tight to only OIS Fuji lenses and you need a gimbal anyways. The XS10 gives you more flexibility with the IBIS and OIS lenses. But this is my humble "real world" thought
As an XT 3 user I, of course, agree with you. I mostly use it for photography so IBIS and a fully articuled screen are not a big deal for me. By the way, i really appreciate that Fuji offers me the performance ( exept IBIS ) of an XT 4 with my XT 3 through the last firmare update. May be it's only "marketing" but taking care of their customers is marketing as i like it. Always a bit clumsy in english. Keep on offering us your great videos
X-T3 has DCI 4K in 60fps and that's the _only_ reason I'm buying it over X-S10 for video footage. However, gonna buy X-S10 for vlogging one day. Awesome video, great to hear we share some points of view!
I’ve owned the X-T1, X-T2 and the X-T20 and loved them all, but my first X-T camera was the X-T100 which is the only Fuji camera I still have. I am thinking of getting either the X-T3 or the X-S10 so this video is perfect - and it’s not the first time I’ve watched it either! The X-S10 has some similarities to the X-T100 with the PSAM dial for example so that would not bother me. The screen on the X-T100 is the best of both worlds as it flips up and down like the X-T3 screen but also can be turned to face you like the X-S10 (but does not swivel in that position) so neither the X-T3 nor X-S10 scores maximum points for it’s screen. I’m not so wedded to the Fuji dial layout on most XT cameras as you are Omar but having owned the X-T2 I can appreciate the beauty of the X-T3 and that EVF!. But that grip, the IBIS, the smallness - those features are calling me to the X-S10!!
I’m a sports photographer, and I use the Fuji x-t3 with a battery grip and the 55-200m lens. I love the vintage dials bc of the accessibility of it! I can just adjust the shutter, and iso outside of the menu, so I don’t have to waste time going into the settings menu and adjusting it like my old Nikon. And idc about ibis since I use a stabilized lens. I definitely would upgrade to the x-t4 but for now this is the perfect camera for both photos and videos!
We've been watching your videos same with bigheadtaco and mr.perfect camera for a week haha, choosing between xs10, xt3 and xt30.. Finally got our first fuji cam, XT3📸😊
That is debatable. There are pros and cons to the approach of satisfying the crowd when your reputation was built on pleasing the serious discerning photographer. I'm afraid it reflects a turn by Fujifilm to the mundane middle and bottom of the bell shaped curve.
I liked your review. As an ADD photographer this was the best review I’ve seen so far. I have been in photography since 1977 when I lived in Japan. However, with ADD I have for years gotten overwhelming with details in search for the perfect picture. I get so focused on the camera and settings I miss the location and light I’m trying to capture. You make an extremely compelling argument for both cameras. By the way I’ve heard the problem of competing stabilization when using both in body and external stabilization. You option was good to reinforce this point is still alive. Great review
@@ianplaysbass ibis is overrated ! I have it on my X-H1, and trust me - OIS in the lens is far better - for stills at least - I don’t care a bit about video
Hi Omar, fully agree with you. I’ve got a Xt-3 , and now I was thinking to buy a second body and I was actually thinking to chose between a Xs-10 and Xt-3, but I decided to go with another xt-3, that I’m going to use also for video. No Ibis…yes..but, as you said…I will buy a gimbal for that purpose, then…no need a ibis. Thx
Great video I am new to Fuji i have been using Canon and Sony, with the price reductions on the XT 3 I would like to get both as I really like the retro look and feel of the XT3 and the user friendly aspects and portability of the XS10. Plus I always like to have two camera bodies and will be nice to share lenses. if i find I am iusing one much more than the other can always sell one.
I think this video perfectly wraps it up: They are both great cameras serving a completely different workflow and addressing different typ of photographer. I just wish I'd have both :-/ However, I could never justify to turn in my X-T3/4 for the newer X-S10...
I just got my X-S10 today and I have to agree with you about how premium my XT-3 looks next to my X-S10. I don’t like the screen on the X-T10. It feels flimsy. I feel like it will break if I twist it the wrong way. I will leave it flat to the body while using the camera. My intent was to sell my XT-3 but I just don’t know yet. But as you have said I can just pull out the X-S10 and shoot. I think it will be a camera which I will not be babying. Which I think is a good thing. Right now I will hold on to both. I wish I could slam them together and come out with a hybrid body. IBIS is good.
Great vid, having both currently, I can't get myself to sell the X-T3 just yet. Such a beautiful camera. But I also love the compactness, weight, and ergo of the X-S10. If it had the dials and evf from the T3...
THANK YOU! I was wondering if you would come up with this video. I just clicked but after a thorough research and listing my need I’ll probably go w/ the X-T3
Love your videos man. The price drop on the xt3 really makes the choice hard. I'm more for the xs10 for my style (currently using canon dslr). Thanks for the perspective though
I am thinking of replacing my X-T30 with the X-S10 as my daily camera for the following reasons: (1) better ergonomics; (2) preset custom settings - I would set mine for indoor without flash, indoor with flash, outdoors, and, kids in motion; (3) exposure settings for stills and video are separate from each other. Bonus reasons are IBIS, and that it can be used as a webcam. This would be for daily, spontaneous photography. I still have my X-H1 for more intentional photography.
You are right. I sold my X-T20 and bought the X-T3. I'm looking now to buy the X-T20 back as a smaller format camera and back up for my X-T3, specially when I use the fujicron lenses(f2-f2.8). I don’t like the looks and user’s experience of X-S10, not at all.
Thanks for this, Omar. I got the X-T3 back in the summer and it reinvigorated my enjoyment of taking pictures. I didn’t care for IBIS then but with all the buzz around the X-S10 having it, I was wondering if I should’ve waited. This helped me realize the X-T3 is still the right camera for me.
I would also have gone for xt3, even ifvI was a videographer (90-10 to photography). It's simply a better camera with fine-tuned pro settings. Also would very much appreciate a review of the new 10-24 WR, specially since you were an owner of the older non-wr version.
Hej Omar. Put the XT3 and the XS10 in a romantic bag..... wait a while ..... and you get the best of them in one cam. - dials for exposure and aperture. - 2 angle flip(py) screen - ergonomic grip - weather sealing - IBIS The X-H1! Ok. You get X-TRANS III (wich is also awesome in 2020), 24MP , no bleach bypass. BUT here in the european backmarket you only pay about 600 Euro for one in good condition. So you can save money for good glasses. When there is only the XT3 and the XS10 in this world. I would take the real Fuji of them. The XT3
Got the xs10.. blown away when I could focus in the dark and shutter speed of 5 and still super sharp and low iso!
Thanks good input.
I just bought one last night. Got discouraged by Omar’s review. And thought perharps I shouldve bought XT3 instead hahaha but then, I’m excited to receive it today. This comment makes me more excited 🤣
Been struggling over this ever since the X-S10 was announced. Great to hear your perspective!
And now the X100V exists.
I'm leaning towards the xt3...mainly for the style and it's capabilities. I like having tactile buttons and some heft.
Omar. Stop telepathically reading my fujiflm buying needs!
You were made for UA-cam Omar! Another great video, thanks! I'm also a proud X-T3 owner and its a beautiful thing just to look at.
thanks I appreciate that!!
If you just want to look at your camera, the x-t3 is the right camera. If you what to take photos better use the x-s10, lol
I wish the X-S10 was around when I purchased my XT3. 100% Would have gone for the XS10
that would have happened to me as well but for no reason I was lazy for a day and saw news of this baby coming
8bit video,
lower shooting speed and has no waterproof - are you sure ?
@@ti4852 yes. All I do are photos. Raw and jpeg. Edited in lightroom. With occasional cinematic shots filmed at 1080 120. Nothing professional
Exchange with me then bro 😁
I regret buying the X-S10, I got a brand new one and it had dead pixels that imprinted into the footage and then it got sent back and I got a BRAND NEW one and it had THREE dead pixels and one on the LCD too... So.... yeah...
Omar is a like a good car sells man. I feel like I could go to his car dealership fully committed on buying one car (ie XS10), then he comes in and sell me on another car (ie XT3). Then before I realize it, I loving/buying the car he showed me. Great video man!
I sold my x-T3 for the x-s10, and I am in love. Let me count the reasons…
1. Smaller, lighter
2. IBIS
3. Flash on camera (comes in handy when you need it!)
Same here: I have an XT2 and an XT3. No interest in the XT4 with the flippy screen.
Where to buy?
I got both, the xt3 mainly for photography and the xs10 for for filming and vlooging.
If i would need to choose one. I think I’d go xt3
For a few reasons:
Price which is around £800-900 new in the uk right now
Dual Card slot
10 bit internal
4K @60
Ibis is missing which you could work around, with a gimble.
So I think I’d go with the xt3 if I would need to choose one
torn between the two! I want the IBIS but then I want the camera to be weather sealed for traveling
Omar is always a tonic for the troops.. Great personality... I have never held a Fuji XT but I reckon once I do I won't want to put it down!
I agree 100%.
Omar tv again. So relaxing to listening to you.. still the xt20 for me..
I'm shallow as well, X-T3 all day for me. That and all I do is photos, no video.
You're as shallow as an f/1.2 lens. :-)
Hmmm, X-T3 is better for video, though.
If you only take photos why not xt1
I picked the xt3 because of the weather sealing and it was on sale. Plus the firmware upgrade was nice. The xs10 is nice. I didn’t mind the look of it. I guess the weather sealing was a big factor for me.
Finally someone making this video!! Yay!! I’m trying to decide on which to get. Dude I’ve been watching you for a while and I just love your sense of humor!
thanks for watching!
@@ogonzilla Always!!
Omar. You aren't just a little shallow. I've seen deeper dew on a warm summer morning. 🤣
I have the X-T4 for heavy duty work (with a Smallrig grip attached that overcomes the lack of a grip on the camera) and the X-S10 has just arrived for use as a carry round, street, and for the other stuff like landscapes when I don't want to carry my full kit.
2 card slots and weather sealing is more important than IBIS.
Not to mention that xt3 also records 4k6p 10bit internal, for me thats a big win
Weather sealing is important for me especially for outdoor photography like landscape , sports and wildlife will go with xt3👍
I learned that in Costa Rica...peace of mind.
becareful many cameras have Weather seal advertising but just some of them have truelly earn that tittle. high end canon or nikon are good for raining weather have been proven , like 5d 7d series EOS R. sony and fuji is not for heavy rain. some xt4 user report thier camera had problem after heavy rain
Thanks!
I love the energy bro, and I just bought the x-t3!
Change is difficult for everyone, Omar, even for youngsters like you 😁
I went with the x-t3 for the exact same reasons. Love the dials.
Agreed. Just tested the new Sony a7 c which was a simpler camera to use. A joy!!
You've got a great personality.
I agree :)
I concur
He´s the f**ing boss.
Yea, but what does his wife say? 😀
Agreed !
But there's no ibis
@@krrishgrg3877 you can use a lens with stabilization.
@@laurajaye9 sold it 😁
As always, your video was excellent, and I think you really nailed the key differences in the “concept” of each camera type.
Already own the X-T3 but will be getting the XS10 soon as a B-cam. PERFECT COMBO for me! Selling all my Sony Gear.
Hell yeah. You've been red pilled. :-)
Great video as always Omar!
it really is great to hold. enjoy!
The feeble tiny viewfinder on the cheaper cameras, such as the xs10, really makes a huge difference in daily use, when compared to the more professional X-T3
Man love your camera, and love your comedy style when telling review its more like Jim Carry. Quite enjoyable.
thanks!
Xt3 all the way...great review...not too much deep..not superficial.. what a likable guy... subscribed!
I love the xt-3, considering buying this one over the Canon R.
That is a no brainer dude. :-)
@@barrycohen311 sold!!
@@Snickers_GLNY I shoot with two X-T3’s and you’ll definitely find the weight reduction + retro dials with the Fuji system :) & i shoot mostly manual, but if I ever want speedy pics I just put my camera in auto iso 🤙🏽
thanks for this video my last camera was your fav xt20, its been 2 years now since it died(took a dive in the ocean)
i have been waiting for sometime to buy the perfect replacement and this video helped me decide that i will go for the xt3
have seen many reviews on the X-S10 - this one was far the best one. Thank you very much for helping me decide.
which one did you decide
And is 1080p the same in both cameras? Because nobody says anything about full hd.
This is a good point. Always stunned buffers are still a thing in 2020
@@RicardusWoodCarving C'mon, who shoots in 1080p???? lol...jk
The x-s10 is for canon user like me, i have m50 but i love x-s10 so much for the deep grip, ergonomic, ibis, simple and much others
I will think about these recommendations before I buy one.
I got into Fuji for the look of the camera, but the pictures are magical. The Xs10 doesn't do for me.
Also just to get it out there. The X-T3 ships with a really good flash
it does. I never took it out of the wrapper lol
@@ogonzilla It looks cheezy and chintzy as hell, but bats way out of its league.
Thanks, Omar. Very thorough. I've already ordered the XT3 but at least I know for sure now that I made the right decision!
For me, XT3 is it for when I want to dial things in and enjoy the shooting experience. For quick auto pretty much everything, I like the ZV1.
I love my XT3, but I wish it had the hand grip of the XS10.
Totally agree on the dials!
Wicked close to graduating from my x-t20 to x-t3. The view finder is a big plus for me. I also like the physical dials and seeing things in the real world. Don’t use touch screen much. Thanks for this review. It’s helping me spend more money, I think…
X-T3 All The Way!!!
I have an XT20 but to be honest I’m going for the next gen sensor before upgrading
When your camera is as sexy as the models you shoot with it, you know you found a keeper.
Looking at you, my dear X-T3, rowr...
Wanted to upgrade my Xt-10 but could find an Xt-3 anywhere in South Africa (not complaining)....so I got myself the Xt4😍😍😍. Excited to try it out when I get it
WOW xt10 to XT4....upgrade of the year!! enjoy
Fuji is addicting. I bought the X100T when it was first released and since then have added an X-T20 and X-T2. They are so good I really don't think or care about upgrading. Plus, I'm one of those sentimental guys, and get attached to my cameras. :-)
@@barrycohen311 only 2 ways my X100F is leaving me... 1. At the same time as an upgrade to X100V, 2. My cold dead hands...
also for video makers, although 8 bit video os XS10 looks great, I had tons of issues in grading 8-bit before (but from Sony), and 10-bit of x-t3 is way more flexible and forgiving
I'm lazy so I ordered the X-s10 and I'm still new to photography and UA-cam. Coming from the Canon m50
Welcome to Fujifilm Bro! Enjoy your new camera! #XT1 #XT2
Haha...nothing wrong with that. I had the most fun in auto. lol...
@@ogonzilla I won't go full lazy lol
Yeah, I am reading initial reviews that canon stumbled upon a good first version of the M50, and then released the:50 II, apparently a dud
@@mortenthorpe yeah and even though the m50 is a great camera it has crutches cameras at it's price shouldn't. They aren't supporting it instead they are going for a cash grab
Great video, thank you! I’ve been debating upgrading the XT-20 to either of these (or XT-4). I feel like all these videos were made just for me!!
me too! I have an xt20.
That IBIS might be the game changer for manual lens users.
Charm! That resonates with me. I'm one of the vain - I love to gaze at the XT3.
Omar, it's the X-T3 for me. Love the viewfinder, tactile dials, and overall looks.
Omar, excelente análisis comparativo. El mejor que he visto en UA-cam ya sea en inglés, alemán o español. Yo sigo con mi XT-3 porque sólo hago fotos.
Great video! And by the way: I like your glasses, they look pretty good on your head 👌🏼
Smart move for Fuji to introduce a video centric line that will draw in those from other brands not wanting fiddleyness with extra buttons.
Thanks Omar. Video was really helpful and has helped me decide which way to go.
I waiting on the XT4 to go on sale, until then the XT20 will keep on trucking.
Not a fan of the flippy screen, get the X-T3 instead, now just shy of USD 1000
Love the flippy screen and ibis wait for the xt4 👍👍
@@mortenthorpe IBIS is a game changer. I'll probably stick with the XT4 until I decide to go to full frame.
@@ianplaysbass ibis is overrated ! I have it on my X-H1, and trust me - OIS in the lens is far better - for stills at least - I don’t care a bit about video
I am in the same situation :D
Completely agree with your final thoughts. Great video!
Awesome Sideshow Superman statue too!
Oh yeah! SUPs
I find your review both informative and entertaining without the mind-boggling specifications. New subscriber here.
Great vid, having both currently, I can't get myself to sell the X-T3 just yet. Such a beautiful camera. But I also love the compactness, weight, and ergo of the X-S10. If it had the dials and evf from the T3...
Thinking to trade xs10 for Xt3. Is it worth? Need your input cause you have both
Thank you very much for the video and for helping me to make my upgrade choice from the XT20! XT3 it is.
I have both. Shooting with mostly vintage lenses..I gotta say s10 takes the win for that, simply for the ergonomics, lightweight, and ibis.
Amazing review/comparison. Congrats, Omar.
Omar I have to say I'm with you on that I like the dials. Your the reason why I bought the X-T20. and love it looking at picking up the xt3 as well
You are right. I sold my X-T20 and bought the X-T3. I'm looking now to buy the X-T20 back as a smaller
format camera and back up for my X-T3, specially when I use the fujicron lenses(f2-f2.8).
Yah....it's a different camera for sure. You made the right choice for you.
I love admiring my X-T1's.
All day long right? Love the 1,2,3...probably the 4 etc. etc. Peace.
- 2 angle flip(py) screen
- ergonomic grip
- weather sealing
- IBIS
The X-H1!
