I never came across this performance before, this is awesome! God damn helicopters man. He left us too soon just when he was rising to the top. Bless you Stevie wherever you are
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, is here everyday his legacy and songs will live on Forever!! Stevie was and will always be The Best Guitarist!!For the Style of MUSIC he played like there was no tommorow!!
you can never get tired of SRV. there may be days that your in the mood to hear other music, but we always return to SRV. he was awesome and his music is still kick ass and better than anything coming out today. as great as John Mayer is, he don't hold a candle to SRV.
Stevie Ray Vaughan and his strat is getting that rhythem at full speed and out..Travis Walk is the greatest base player around and the other sidekicks..Bless you
Stevie Ray is so good, even that mega mullet on the keyboardist cannot overshadow his performance .. and probably the only time I have ever heard Stevie not in Eb tuning
Phillipe Saisse is the keyboard player. He was the musical director on this show "Sunday Night", later called "Night Music." He worked with The Stones, Bowie, Al Di Meola, and lots of others. He's a highly regarded jazz/fusion musician. But yeah, that mullet was tremendous. 😂
Hey..this is phenominal..Stevie Ray Vaughan doing what he does best and u know I'm right..Just wish we would have had more of him in his short life..RIP Stevie
just when you think you have a lick down and sounding decent, you watch SRV rip it more aggressively and with more attitude than you thought possible. badass guitarist
@thebluesrockers You are sooooo right. What a musician!!! In the Beginning is one of my favorite SRV albums. Many try but no one will ever replace Stevie!
And just Think..Stevie Ray Vaughan didn't have to read music notes to learn the legendary guitar strings he strummed..That's speaks alone for itself..way to go Stevie..the best
I love hip hop and that's mainly what I listen to but god damn nothing amazing me more for music than listening/watching SRV play ! I'm glad my dad got me into SRV when I was a young shit head.. RIP dad
i thought i was the only one who ever felt this! i literally can't bring myself to learn some of his stuff because it seems like i could do it justice!
Yes it was. When you have time, watch the 42- minute Rockline Radio show with Stevie and Whipper Layton. They play a raw version of Travis Walk (with some backstory from SRV) and later an unreleased tune. If you're an SRV fan you gotta listen to it.
@@johnferrante3247 thx John, I'll definitely ck it out. No question if I'm a fan, nearly cried a week when it happened. He'd been here 4 last time w/Jeff Beck just month's before.... :(
I'm too young to have seen the man live, shame. But I'm old enough to know a man who's mastered his skills and his soul. Stevie Ray is always #1 and I'll make sure my children know it too someday. God bless
There are reasons we don't know the exact date of our death. Stevie was sober and skyrocketing in his career at this point, and he would be gone within a couple years at 35 years old.
nothing against double trouble, but this fill in band he's played with a few times sounds bad ass. Like Srv, with the other 3 members of his normal band are iconic.....but these hired guys are so solid and groovy....A lot more Modern sounding, tighter, idk......
That's not a girl, it's Philippe Saisse. He was part of the "house band" on the show that included Omar Hakim on drums, Marcus Miller on bass, Hiram Bullock on guitar, David Sanborn on sax, and Jools Holland on piano.
@Bluezking Yeah, but he also did that on the studio recording, go back and listen to it that's also in E. It's kinda like "Leave My Little Girl Alone" which is in A, but played live in Stevie's standard tuning which is tuned down one half step. So it wasn't completely uncommon he would do something like this.
Talk about John Mayer just like Bonamassa there are only a few greats like SRV and those two will never be ! just sayin ' sorry boys some times you gotta separate the two
Keyboard operator is sensational..band totally terrific..Stevie Ray Vaughan is Awesome!
Jimmy said Stevie played guitar like he was breaking out of jail. Those awesome hands can't be beat. Pure musical genius.
I was blessed to see him a year before the plane crash. What a show . Now the legends are jammin in heaven. What frigging cloud that is. R.I.P
I owe all my guitar skills to this legend! Watching & hearing him made me want to learn. RIP Stevie Ray
Same here I would have never grabbed a guitar if wasn't for this guy
Made me pick the guitar backup after 7 years
I never came across this performance before, this is awesome! God damn helicopters man. He left us too soon just when he was rising to the top. Bless you Stevie wherever you are
Stevie plays the maximum power like breaking the string, and that's the reason why he sounds thrilling to everybody
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, is here everyday his legacy and songs will live on Forever!! Stevie was and will always be The Best Guitarist!!For the Style of MUSIC he played like there was no tommorow!!
Great comment, I agree 1000%. Love his style of the BLUES, his OUTSTANDING voice, his magnificent hands how FAST he could play. And that voice WOW.💥💥💥
you can never get tired of SRV. there may be days that your in the mood to hear other music, but we always return to SRV. he was awesome and his music is still kick ass and better than anything coming out today. as great as John Mayer is, he don't hold a candle to SRV.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and his strat is getting that rhythem at full speed and out..Travis Walk is the greatest base player around and the other sidekicks..Bless you
Hello again! Travis Walk is the name of the song!
Grand performance of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Travis Walk is a tremendous guitar base musician..
Stevie Ray is so good, even that mega mullet on the keyboardist cannot overshadow his performance .. and probably the only time I have ever heard Stevie not in Eb tuning
He is tuned Eb but he playes this in E(actual position on fretboard is F key)
Phillipe Saisse is the keyboard player. He was the musical director on this show "Sunday Night", later called "Night Music." He worked with The Stones, Bowie, Al Di Meola, and lots of others. He's a highly regarded jazz/fusion musician. But yeah, that mullet was tremendous. 😂

Hiram was SO underrated. Stevie Ray probably thanked HIM for playing.

Wonder....was Travis Walk a reference to his home in Dallas? RIP SRV! Been many to compare since you've been gone, but sadly NO-ONE comes close!
Yes it was. When you have time, watch the 42- minute Rockline Radio show with Stevie and Whipper Layton. They play a raw version of Travis Walk (with some backstory from SRV) and later an unreleased tune. If you're an SRV fan you gotta listen to it.

1- 24- 89
Pay attention . 0:04 to Stevie's slide
Yes, that was dope
nothing against double trouble, but this fill in band he's played with a few times sounds bad ass. Like Srv, with the other 3 members of his normal band are iconic.....but these hired guys are so solid and groovy....A lot more Modern sounding, tighter, idk......
that girl on the keys is so damn good....don't know who these guys are except SRV but they're great!
That's not a girl, it's Philippe Saisse. He was part of the "house band" on the show that included Omar Hakim on drums, Marcus Miller on bass, Hiram Bullock on guitar, David Sanborn on sax, and Jools Holland on piano.
My bad not 0:04. Its actually at 0:02

존나 빠르네
Iujuuuu
Three string bass.
Is that a baritone hsh backing Stevie up?!
Who in the hell is on Keyboards?
philippe saisse
I'm pretty sure the keyboardist is a woman, unless Monsieur Saisse had a sex change
OMG it is Philippe Saisse, the dude turned into a woman
you mean so hard to bend on the first fret? cause...that is damn hard...especially with his extra heavy strings
Is that Robert Cray playing with him, the black guy on the right? Did not know who that was..
That's the late Hiram Bullock.
Stevie is a legend
Who is the second guitar? Name please
Hiram Bullock
Who taught Stevie Ray to play his guitar?
Who is on drums?
never jammed to mayer
is that ray charles on tambourine?
Talk about John Mayer just like Bonamassa there are only a few greats like SRV and those two will never be ! just sayin ' sorry boys some times you gotta separate the two

It kind of feels like an insult butchering his songs trying to learn them, lol
its like playing in f on regular tuning, not that hard
