If you take the rear head rests out and fold down the back seats completely, there are 6 holes along the metal underportions of the seats you can stow the rods of the head rests into.
If for any reason your headlights remain on once you step off your truck (they should turn off when the engine is turned off and the door opened). Just press the lock button twice on your fob and lights will turn off.
Start up and screen off image is one I just found out pretty cool for customization can load pictures onto your truck to see on start up and screen off mode
Also, when you lift the bench seats up and bring the back down. When the bench seats are pulled up you will notice two holes and this is where you can store the head rests in those two holes in the bench seats.
For the hood rod thing, you can also put a stick on rubber insulation piece, like the insulation around the door, under the rod around the middle so when it is down the insulation dampens the rattle. Nice list, thanks for sharing.
I took my back seat out of the truck, problems solved. I built a tray in its place and bolted it to the existing hinges so it can fold up to access the floor storage.
Goose gear makes rear seat delete panels with access doors to the floor and the floor bins. I’m making my own and spraying it with bedliner because 800$ is ridiculous. If you care about pure utility remove the plastic storage bins too because the plastic wastes a lot of the space.

Sleeping in a new Tacoma? Obtain a (foam) mat, cut or fold it to fit the new rear seat area. Remove the headrests from rear seats. Move the front seats forward. Pull the rear seats up/down. Place fitted mat atop the new area. Sleep with both legs slightly bent. Save some money. 😴
I was trying to figure out how my 2022 Seats open ! I thought they deleted the storage. Id rather have no loop this way if it’s broken into a theif will likely not be able to get under seats
When you fold the rear seats there’s two holes big holes that’s where you put the head rest in it. Instead of throwing them in the back. Also the gas cap you can attach it to the secure lock on the gas cap door.
I remove the headrests and store them so I do not have to hear them flopping up and down. I can see where if left in that position they may end up breaking from the bouncing.
You missed the storage spot for the headrest. There's two holes next to the screw that you want to add the orange pull handle. That the headrest slides into

Here’s another tip: For those with the v6 engine there is an electric heater in the Tacoma. When the temps drop below 45 if you have the heat at max, you don’t have to wait for the engine to warm up to get hot air blasting.
@@ktkyle41 Service manual calls it the "quick heater" or "PTC heater"; located behind dash on passenger side. -Engine running -Blower switch on -Temperature settings: MAX HOT -Engine coolant temperature 65°C or lower -Ambient temperature 10°C or lower Instant heat.
Hmmm... I was looking at the hood prop rod today thinking I should get rid of it but then part of me wants to keep in in case to struts fail. Hi. I found your channel by doing a search for how to get my front seats to recline all the way back in my 2016 toyota tacoma. I have never liked the fact that they don't recline all the way down flat. Do you know if there is a mod that can be done to make this happen? More specifically on the passenger side. I want to do some car camping in my truck and need to make a bed out of it by making it recline flat.

I had a 2013 and and currently, a 2019 Tacoma. I found the front seats in both to be about the most comfortable seat of any vehicle I have ever driven. I've done several 3 week + road trips out West and never did my 65 year-old back get sore.

So one day my boss says your headlights are on. As I’m waking towards him I said I know I’m not in my house yet and he goes what!?!? Then he said oh! They turned off. I said yeah it’s a feature to allow you to walk to your house a path of light to the door or what have you. I saw someone comment that if you hit the lock button twice it will turn off the lights not necessary. Go into your settings and you can turn on light off after…. And select how long you want them to stay on. They only implemented the auto lights function because people didn’t know this 😀
They removed the rear "seat pull" tabs because fools were latching child seats to them thinking that's what they were for and then of course in an accident the seat would immediately flip up.
