In the Spring preset, I was able to set the Hotswitch button via the app to toggle tremolo intensity between 50 and 0. If I engage the Hotswitch on the pedal itself, it allows me to turn the dial to increase / decrease the tremolo intensity rate. How can I set the H9 Hot Button to toggle this on / off? I want to be able to turn the tremolo on and off using the button on the pedal. Thanks!
None of the buttons on the H9 can be programmed to control things like a hotswitch or toggle parmaters between two values. You’ll need an external aux switch for that.
That would be a really handy feature. Would it be possible to make an option / software update for toggling the functionality (pressing the H9 knob) between "HotKnob" and "HotSwitch" via the H9 control app?

Not on the H9, no.
Can a program a preset to control expression settings with an exp. Pedal and save a different set of parameters for the hot switch to control with ext. switch?

Yes, it is possible to save expression control mappings independently to Hotswitch mappings.
Hello! Thanks for the info on the H9! I got a question, it is possible to connect the OX9 and the Tesla switch and the Mission Engineering expression pedal all together? Thanks
It is not possible to use them altogether. When the H9’s EXP input is set to [BOTH] mode, only the left footswitch on the OX9 is operational along with the expression pedal. If you’re using the SP-H9 expression, the onboard button won’t work in this mode either, nor will a Tesla tap attached to the expression pedal.

@@wask28 The Tesla tap will work on any pedal that accepts a normally open switch. Also, if in the future you decide you want to use the H9 with MIDI, the Tesla Tap can be used a switch for that controller as well and that can be mapped to a greater number of functions than the EXP input allows.
@@EventideAudio thanks for the tip! Do you know if I could use the SP-H9 expression pedal with any other device that is not the H9?
@@wask28 The SP-H9 can be used with any pedal that has a TS-compatible expression input. It also has a 10 K pot. Consult the manuals of pedals you own to see if it meets the specs.
Can I use the tap-switch instead of an aux. I never use taptempo and programchanges are done by an external device (dmc3xl). So the tapswitch is doing nothing all the time.
No. The Tap switch cannot be configured for aux switch functions.
A barn3 OX9 can give you some extra switches. Hope this helps you.
Yes it would be much more useful if the Tap switch could be reassigned.

@@rob-roth On the software no, but on the front panel of the pedal, yes. The H9 must be in preset search mode for this to work.

My friend! I so appreciate your video explaining such pertinent info. I am using the H9 on tour and need to understand how to better program and use both my expression pedal and aux switch to control things I would like to control on the H9 and there are very few videos like this.
