This is the best kind of critique to Xqc. "Your build was mid at best, skill issue, here's how you could've done better." Subtle shade but still useful advice and pointing out room for improvement in the spirit of good ol' sportsmanlike pvp.
^^^ all across the board yep, ya know how often i ether get called dog crap, or mid, or trash at a game but no one offers any advice after the whole ordeal? it's like one of the three total outcomes, you ether just get called trash at the game, or you get called trash at the game but recommended a cheese build that takes no effort so you don't grow at the game, orrrr you get the good option, where you are told you are bad 'politely or otherwise' but offered actual good advice that lets you have room to grow.
I havent bothered to watch him until a few days ago. If his skill level is all it takes to be a "pro gamer" then sign me up because i find myself to be wildly mediocre at most games, yet im still confident in saying im more skilled than him, and at least twice as smart. People watch him to laugh a boy in a mans body who peaked at 14. Its utterly hilarious, but also really sad to see a grown man lack any self awareness or people skills.
@@calebecker1998 i won't lie when i say i feel like i've been having a much easier time than anyone else playing elden ring, it may change soon because i said it out loud and now i jinxed it, but i'm a lil confident. i can only play elden ring over at my friends house because his console can actually run it without frame stutters, so like it's great but at most i have 8 ish hours or so to sink into it. so i've looked up vague enough guides to let me know what items i'd like in certain area's and i've been using certain summons to make boss fights quite easier.

He's more of a pilot gamer, letting people do the heavy thinking for him in the background so all he has to think about is hitting unga bunga. I know in professional sports this kind of stuff is commonplace like having assistants, but your assistants cant build your body for you, or make u retain the game knowledge for you. If steel was a real homey, he would've described the different equipment and spells that are common with the rusted anchor build, instead of just catering directly to his whim. Who knows though, maybe steel did try, and XQC chose to be bigheaded about it for some reason.
I completely forgot about the Roar Talisman and the higher lander axe. I ended up succumbing to 🦍 brain and used mimic on Malenia with nothing but Dragon Incantations 💀
All of the roar builds that changes your R2 got buffed in the dlc by the little two-hand talisman, although pierce weapons got the most use out of it for those meaty trades that people are just so happy to give you!
Holy moly thats a good critique. I definitely wanted a closer look at the intricacies behind his build and why id didn't work. Well played also...Pirate Ranni is now the only way I can imagine her now. In my mind Miyazaki has blessed this new lore.
Instantgaming is actually goated, I buy a lot of old games and their DLC´s from there with my cheap a§§. When YT´ers do commercials for products or services which actually a beneficial and not a useless add on in your daily life it gets annyoing really fast, but here it is not the case.
I like dual greataxes, overall the best attacks on the greataxe moveset are the dual wield crouch L1, running L1, one handed neutral R2 and one handed running R2. Some setups can force you to two hand and rely on hyper armor trades but when you go against other hyper armor set ups you might as well keep the dual wield dps.
RKR Zweihander and Braggart's Roar Nightrider Glaive can also do these numbers and the DLC also gave us the RKR Giant Crusher+deflecting hardtear combo.

Only waifu, i dont know if you are aware, but there is a extremely weird bug in the dlc. After defeating leida, if you summoned a human player for her battle and dont rest on a site of grace, you and your phantom spawn back in the arena (you dont get the enemy felled screen). But when both of you go to fight radanh, he gets instantly killed. Also, for some reason he stands still in the fighting arena. If you try it, deal him status effects to see if he can also be killed, since it can trigger the secon phase and despawn. Replicated this glitch with many times so the bug is easy to trigger.

I just started playing elden ring. I wanted to use a strength weapon and one of my friends told me to get the anchor. Never thought I'd be able to pvp with it. Very excited to try this out. Thank you blue witch lady.
Just be mindful of its limitations IE: short range relatively slow its a trading machine but experienced PVP-ers know that on sight and will use faster longer range weapons and skills usually with status effects to literally tag and punish you to death. Granted only experienced/skilled PVP-ers wil consistently be able to do that but keep it in mind. That's the real trick in PVP reading builds and weapons on the fly and adjusting on the fly accordingly.
I know I’m some random dude but I wanna wish you luck. I started playing Elden ring 2 months ago and I just 100 percented it a few days ago which I never thought I would be capable of. What I’ll leave with you is that you aren’t the man of your thoughts. Don’t tell yourself you can’t do it or that it’s impossible and especially do not break anything or spiral into a hole. If something is hard, try new strategies, try leveling up, and don’t be afraid to use what the game gives you
i have a video idea for you if you are interested: Summon Etiquette. i hang out at the roundtable hold and make myself available for random jolly coop summoning and one of the most frustrating things is not being giving a chance to change gear before the host is already running into the boss room 0.2 seconds after i load in. a video telling people which summon signs are random and which are placed in that location specifically so they know to give the random one a chance to change some things? if you have already made a video like this my apologies. i have not looked through all your elden ring videos. 🤘

While XQC's build was one dimensional and sluggish, his inability to adapt was his biggest downfall. His playstyle is encapsulated greed as he expects to tank through everything and stagger everyone else, i don't watch his content, but i saw a little bit of his Elden Ring playthrough out of curiosity and he played the same way there. Your variation of the build has more versatility, enhancing the damage potential while avoiding the sluggishness.
