My best friend played this song on repeat for an entire summer one year. That summer the song drove me a little crazy after hearing it over 100 times, but now it just brings me happy memories. He died of a drug overdose last year and in memory of him me and a few friends got his name tattooed on us in Korn font. I miss him deeply, he was the kind of guy who was suffering terribly inside but spent every moment he had on this earth making other people smile. Listening to Korn is a therapy, while most of the people around me can't relate to and truly understand my pain, their music tells my stories and what I feel inside right on spot. When I heard this song, I felt so much better that someone is telling my horrendous past of being bullied and isolated by my classmates because I was a different guy while literally no one supported me through these hectic experiences. Just like what they said in Twisted Transistor: "A lonely life where no one understands you, but don't give up, because the music do."
100% therapy. I remember once when I was 13 or something and I had a messed up day and I just didn't know how to express my anger and feeling of isolation; so I listened to Daddy and sang along and cried so damn much.

It's truly a beautiful thing to adapt to. I can personally say music saved my life & it's bands such as Korn that not alone helped me see the next day but motivated me to pursue this dream of being a musician. Letting others know they're not alone is my key & let's heal together.
As in teenager years I had been listening to Korn, often when I was in a lot of pain, even now I return to this song, same problems, same self-doubt and reduction from family, but different members. It never changed, when you are down people will kick you, especially when you had a tendency for being weak and vulnareble.
You're right, and this concept has always been right. Many people have this mob mentality thing, where they always kick someone who is down, to "please" others. I think there is more cruelty in humans in general than empathy. That's why the same problems always return, just with some new faces. For the most intelligent creatures on Earth, it's pretty disappointing that empathy, acceptance and dignity are concepts that seem eternally beyond our grasp.
@@k.elysium6819 I disagree, I think genuine empathy comes naturally and cruelty is taught. Abusers are made, they aren't born that way. It's a mix of neurology where people are more prone to violence if certain triggers happen where essentially it flips a 'switch' in the mRNA if enough trauma happens as a child to make them prone to that kind of psychopathy. Additionally, why we see it more in males because the gene is passed down maternally, so women get the gene 'watered down' per say as they inherit an X chromosome from both parents making it less likely for the same pattern to form.. Hence, why we see things like 98% of homicide perpetrators being men. It's literally generational trauma. A lot of the cruelty in this world was constructed (think in the past how monarchs and leaders would cause famine & pit groups against each other to destabilize the population to keep control) and then inherited through generations. It's really tragic how far down we can inherit such trauma. It's up to us to spread kindness and show empathy in the face of ideas like that in order for us to heal,, and for us to seek treatment for our own traumas so we don't pass them onto others. I don't remember cruelty ever being natural to me or my siblings growing up. I remember deep empathy to the point of it almost hurting to see others' hurt, which I am thankful to still have. That's what I see in people. When I see cruelty, I see hurt, and people who need help.
This came out just before I turned 13 and helped me through some rough years. 20 years later this song still evokes the same feelings in me it did when I heard it for the first time.
Korn is one band that has progressively gotten better with every album. The intensity coming out of JD is otherworldly and he seems to take on and exude the pain you're feeling in your own life. I'm a lifetime fan forever and always.😘🤘🤟🙌
Man I was born in 2006, I'm 16 now, but I started really getting into KoRn when I was 15, It's wonderful how this music has helped teens from generation to generation
KoRn will always be my favorite band. This band has got me so through so much, and I can say it has done the same for the most of us that listen to them.
I didnt even know the kid was jesse pinkman in breaking bad 🤣🤣🤣 I knew he looked familiar when I saw breaking bad for the first time, I was in middle school the first time I saw this music video on mtv 🤣🤣🤣
KoRn, Slipknot, Disturbed, Godsmack is better than any drug or any kind of alcohol. Because of them I got clean and sober since 2004, and I’ve never looked back at that terrible life. I am now 44 and I still find meaning in the nu metal bands. So I’m here to tell you that recovery is real. Don’t give up, Don’t ever give up! This song in particular helped me out a lot. I was bullied in high school in the 90s and when I am having a bad day now, I turn on KoRn and this amazing song and make it thru to another day. #KoRn4ever
god, I remember when Follow the Leader first came out. It absolutely blew my mind and I'd never heard anything like them. Nearly 25 years later, and they are still one of my favorites.
@jsmallsawe it was a great time. Hip hop was at its peak and everyone had subwoofers in their trunk. Follow the leader and hybrid theory played on the fact that everyone had wifi stereos
So glad I was able to live through this time, KOЯN kicked off the greatest genre ever. I hope we get to relive this time again. Much love to all my metal brother's and sister's reading this, shout out to my fellow 80s babies, we were GEN X! 🤘🔥
85. I remember how obsessed the world (along with myself) was with Korn in the 90s/2000s. TRL couldn't get rid of them...they had to retire their vids...it was an awesome time .. a lot of people today don't realize just how big korn was...they were heavy but doing pop record numbers in pure album sales....as a heavy act! It definitely opened the door for bands like slipknot...disturbed...Linkin Park ..etc the list goes on and on. Before Korn it was faith no more who helped open the door for them.
@@rafoenlinea gracias, yo he sido metalero desde muy pequeño ya que mis padres me criaron con muy buena música, ahora mismo estoy súper obsesionado con Slayer
I can relate to many of Korn's songs. I was on the outside of the high school clicks though I was never picked on. Then I grew my hair long and then the bullying began. I am 70 now and I took my 38 year old son to see his first concert a year or two back. It was KORN with Chevelle and a grand time was had by all!!!
Underrated band for sure.... I'm going to miss this days Pure art creation(sounds, productions so powerful, metaphoric scientific with reality videos clips, etc) I went through a lot of levels in metal and I still see that Korn was or is amazing in many things
Me for sure. This album came out as I was going into bootcamp for the Marines. As I was going through that, this song always came to my head when I tried to remember what civilian life was like.. Such a cool memory for me.
Even though I'm 13 this is still a trip back to about 5 years ago when I used to love this song (I still do) Back in the old days before I knew who Aaron Paul was
To all my fellow ladies and gents if you were bullied in school or are still being bullied stand up for yourselves please. You will gain respect and most importantly you will feel stronger about yourself. When this song came out I was in High school and it was my anthem. I grew up a korn kid and they honestly got me through a lot of hard times.
I went to Jr. High School & High School in the 80s. I was a "metalhead". The cheerleaders were quite mean to me. Really REALLY mean. ☹ Years later, KoRn releases this song. I felt it in my bones.
Korn is bother overrated and underrated at the same time if that makes sense. This was essentially the soundtrack for the freaks and outcasts of my era...not just this song or the band, but the essence behind the entire scene. Music was the voice of us turn of the millennia teens and the older people rejected the hell out of it, as it basically challenged everything they had been feeding us since birth.
Mas de 20 años y esta canción sigue siendo una de mis favoritas !! Quien la sigue escuchado es este 2022.... lo corrigió ahora en el 2023 empezando con lo mejor de lo mejor.

It's truly a beautiful thing to adapt to. I can personally say music saved my life & it's bands such as Korn that not alone helped me see the next day but motivated me to pursue this dream of being a musician. Letting others know they're not alone is my key & let's heal together.
I kicked the shit out of people who tried to bully my friends.
Kids can be just as cruel as adults. Kids just don't know how to deal with it as well. This can and has resulted in school shootings.
@@dlb83082 lol fuck fighting for israel dude
To all the losers that bullied JD. Look at him now. The frontman of the greatest rock band of the last 30 years. One of the greatest voices in rock.
That's one hell of a glass trip you had there Jesse!
Korn Korn, Pantera vdop, and tool enima all dropped at the same time and completely changed my life as a teenager.
I mean holy shit.
"so you can try to tear me down..." gives me chills everytime 🥹
Korn is one band that has progressively gotten better with every album. The intensity coming out of JD is otherworldly and he seems to take on and exude the pain you're feeling in your own life. I'm a lifetime fan forever and always.😘🤘🤟🙌
because he's been through the real deal when I met him I saw through his eyes and he understood me and I understood him
I’ve got fond memories of this album. Much love to Korn after all these years, still a great impact in life
This song has tremendous meaning for me. Back when I was 15 (2006) I instantly was into KoRn. Good times, feeling nostalgic
Man I was born in 2006, I'm 16 now, but I started really getting into KoRn when I was 15, It's wonderful how this music has helped teens from generation to generation
*These songs truly are, untouchable.*
" Maybe The Touchebles where The Un's We Made Along The Way "
KoRn will always be my favorite band. This band has got me so through so much, and I can say it has done the same for the most of us that listen to them.

I love the thought of everyone who did what they did to Jon dying alone in their hometowns all while seeing who he became.
Tyler Corbett i’m proud of being from bakersfield because of him, one of my teachers was a friend of his in high schook
yummy
Same here 😌
Man this is nuts, korn and Jesse Pinkman. One of the greatest things I’ve seen on UA-cam in a while 😂🤘🏻
I didnt even know the kid was jesse pinkman in breaking bad 🤣🤣🤣 I knew he looked familiar when I saw breaking bad for the first time, I was in middle school the first time I saw this music video on mtv 🤣🤣🤣
Jesse we need to cook... Korn. I'll show myself out.
#KoRn4ever
Awesome Bro. God Bless
Korn apaga las voces de tu cabeza definitivamente lo mejor de los mejor acá con 36 años ..nada mejor q korn para olvidar los problemas
feel you brother cause i want to he same thing but not on the drugs part but good bless us all
@@TheRealHeadOfTheTable Great job,

god, I remember when Follow the Leader first came out. It absolutely blew my mind and I'd never heard anything like them. Nearly 25 years later, and they are still one of my favorites.
Right I had chills back then and now 😮
Bro this song is from Untouchables, but you still right tho
@@kllaudyo oh ya for sure. I was just reflecting on when I first listened to Korn. Crazy!
Before Korn it was faith no more who helped open the door for them.
that voice, thar drums, love this
Adrian Gallo and the bass is amazing dude too
I believe that's bass not drums

as a victim of domestic violence and school violence, I totally feel this song and its MV
How are you now?
Love all of lorn forever❤
I can relate to many of Korn's songs. I was on the outside of the high school clicks though I was never picked on. Then I grew my hair long and then the bullying began. I am 70 now and I took my 38 year old son to see his first concert a year or two back. It was KORN with Chevelle and a grand time was had by all!!!
The preps bought their drugs from us and we bullied the jocks.

Underrated band for sure.... I'm going to miss this days
Pure art creation(sounds, productions so powerful, metaphoric scientific with reality videos clips, etc) I went through a lot of levels in metal and I still see that Korn was or is amazing in many things
Far from underrated. They had their own show called "Family Values Tour" back in the 90's.
Underrated & korn? Are you high😂
GONNA TAKE YOU DOWN 🗣🗣🗣
I was victim of bullying during high school..! I used to feed my hate with this song..
Thank goodness for Heavy Metal.
I just watched the first episode of Breaking Bad last night, and now I'm seeing this video for the first time. It's like the world is aligning for me.
20 años viendo este video y todavía me eriza la piel y me llena de energía

Who else is on a nostalgia trip?
yo man!
It's me
Me for sure. This album came out as I was going into bootcamp for the Marines. As I was going through that, this song always came to my head when I tried to remember what civilian life was like.. Such a cool memory for me.
+ Derrick Wilson Thank you for your service to our country brother.
Even though I'm 13 this is still a trip back to about 5 years ago when I used to love this song (I still do) Back in the old days before I knew who Aaron Paul was
tilo dyer Thanks! I wouldn't trade it for the world.
You are not alone. They have always been advocates for the picked on.
So cool to see Aaron Paul in here.
He's came a long way from here to Breaking bad which really really did awesome for him.
Including last house on the left remake

I went to Jr. High School & High School in the 80s. I was a "metalhead". The cheerleaders were quite mean to me. Really REALLY mean. ☹
Years later, KoRn releases this song. I felt it in my bones.

MIZORAM - Mafaka Hnamte I’m high and I love KoRn
This sky is the February sky
A hopeless brown haze
Only the moon is like a lighted chip
Sends shards of heat
Sometimes it flashes like a spoke
An airplane is in someone's frisky hands
I'm alone and I can't sleep again.
My heart beats like a fish on ice
This one, that other, that third
Thoughts are pouring like boiling lead
Only in life, as in a sad story
The hero has a sad end .
Well, maybe it's better
Let it be a sad but vivid story
When they say at least he was lost.
But a good, good poet...

Best korn song for me

sedsomic x It saved our lives and the life of the others.
