      I know how you feel, I've been following this game since it came out on steam. When I saw the trailer for Xbox I figured playstation wouldn't be too far behind...still waiting for it to be announced.

    Me and my partner started playing it like 2 weeks ago on xbox and so far ive had a lot of fun but i do recognize several problems. We dont get enough eggs, the game crashes at least once on most days (we play for like 2-3 hours) and we barely play ranked because we’re always playing on the team with inexperienced people vs super highly ranked players. Its got lost of potential and I’ve always wanted a dragon game like this so im really hoping it gets better. I can at least say i havent noticed the “small player base” issue. Maybe its because more xbox players joined

    I think I prefer having a high demand for dragons and a short supply then the latter. Just having dragon after dragon awarded makes it less special when you do obtain or hatch a new one. They really shouldn’t be seen as just another piece of armor or accessory. Either way, there definitely needs to be a balance where it’s not overly difficult to obtain them! It should be something worked for to earn ownership of these beautiful creatures in a genuinely fun way.

    I lost faith in this game about a few weeks after release. Such basic issues have caused so many players to leave. So much potential lost by some monkeys on the dev team.

    I love century age of ashes but need something to play for. I only know of getting eggs every ten levels in the battle pass which is a chore to do as the dragons and eggs are the focal point of interest and fun. Been playing 2wks and only hatched 2 eggs. Now hatching them I complete in a couple games it's being able to get dragons that's the issue.

      Yeah in my previous Century video, this was a major point I was talking about. They come in so slowly yet are finished so quickly... so we have very little to do for a long time and we want more dragons! It's a bit strange.

    I had to take a hiatus from the game last month, it was starting to piss me off more than become enjoyable. I'm still pretty frustrated with the direction and decreasing communication from Playwing. Here's to hoping things improve and they can come out of the nosedive they seem to be going down into. Also gotta say I'd love to see more with hatchlings!

    At this point I'd just be happy with being able to rares. When you complete a whole week only to just get armor or a profile pic, it just feels more like a chore. I loved this game, I really did. But that shop and currency just takes out the fun.

      In b4 "You don't need cosmetics to enjoy a game" 😑

    • @RadioactiveMagicGames
      @RadioactiveMagicGames  2 роки тому +6

      lol, yes you don't need cosmetics to enjoy a game... but when a part of the game you would like to participate in feels like it is abusing you (such as buying cosmetics), it takes the fun out of whole thing.

      @@listlesswanders1687 Games *are* cosmetic. Strip away the pretty and no one will play it. Even if someone did play, games don't actually do anything outside of themselves (for the most part), and thus even the gameplay can be considered "cosmetic". At least, under the definition CEOs use for "cosmetic", which massively devalues art and beauty. Same way people devalue artists to pay them less.
      So yeah, you *do* need cosmetics to enjoy a game.

    We should be able to just customize our Pilot. There’s literally no reason for each dragon to have a dedicated rider.
    I love the customization of the Marauder Knight but I love the Windguard Dragon so I get stuck with a pilot I don’t care about at all.

    Pokemon games taught me that it's hard to bond with a creature if it's one of many. Especially if there's a meta, and some are considered better or worse, so you don't even interact with them all.
    Or, at least that's my interpretation of my emotional responses. I could be wrong. :P

    I am currently downloading this game. It does have my attention. Seems interesting and fun. I just hope this game can make it, because they do really have something good on their hands and can do a lot with it. However, they do need to ensure they are at the least adding and hearing out the gaming community, because we are the ones that make a game successful or drown....example of drowning *cough* Anthem, Rocket Arena, Predator Hunting Grounds.....I hope they don't had pay-2-win dragons that are locked behind a pay wall. This will surely kill the game, and I would hope that studios/gaming companies would learn that this does not work. In this new generation of gaming and gamers: Gamers are asking for more, and expect more because we love video games, and some studios just can't keep up. I hope this game can make it.

    What really drove me away was the constant unbalanced matches and lack of game modes.

  • @chopz1000

    Why is there not an execution action where you jump onto an players dragon and stab them
    Makes the whole getting weapons for the rider ect so you can have a cool thing with each type
    Or even a dragon clash where your dragons are in mid air and trying to bite each other and you can stab the dragon
    Just need somthing that makes the riders useful
    I know it’s a flight game but still if I was riding a dragon carrying a sword but I never use the sword I’d throw that fucker at most

    People are too worried about cosmetics in games nowadays. I'm all for playing pimp my dragon or pimp my gun or pimp my character but it's the gameplay that I'm after I could care less about bacon camo for my call of duty gun. the game does need to be engaging And have things to do when you're not playing the game? Shouldn't just the game play be the main thing? I like dog fighting games this is all right I could care less about a shield or a banner but some people are into that I guess more so than playing the game it seems.

    • @RadioactiveMagicGames
      @RadioactiveMagicGames  2 роки тому

      This is perfectly valid. For the most part I am in the same boat, cosmetics are not my main interest. Interactions with my dragons, having events with engaging goals and diverse game mode options is going to keep me interested. However, because the developers went with a Free-To-Play model, they make their money through the cosmetics, this means they have to manage that system in a way that engages their audience best. These videos are my attempt to put some ideas forward for how they would better achieve that (very important) aspect to their business model. Otherwise, yeah, a fun game is a fun game, that is the core that gets people playing most.

    Ps sea of thieves shooting mechanics are the worst in video game history. Unplayable for me until the shooting gets decent

      This is a game developer channel. Game developers analyse game development. It's like you walked into a kitchen and asked why people were making food. XD
